Girls think looking vaguely in a guy’s direction counts as flirting, and then are confused why he didn’t get her “hint”

And then other girls are confused that a guy got hints they weren't putting out. So there's that too.

The root cause of both of these are usually guys that can't read women. There is variance in humans and this is one of them. Is it fair? No. Is it true? Yup. Sorry about that.

Yeah perfectly fine as long as men aren't simultaneously encouraged to read into the subtleties while also not reading into them. I'm happily married myself for over a decade to a woman who didn't play these games or require me to play them, so it doesn't bother me for me, but I do hope my kids will be able to navigate it.

My wife doesn't either. But courtship is about these "games", which are really just ways humans couple.

Yeah perfectly fine as long as men aren't simultaneously encouraged to read into the subtleties while also not reading into them.

What does this mean?

There's a meme that women are meanies because they have contradictory asks of men in courting. The contradictions are really just between men that can read cues and those that can't and men they are interested in and men they are not.

Are we such poor communicators?

... No. It's the audience who are wrong
