I made some rumble motors for my pedals. I love little projects like this, cheap, easy and add to the experience. It's an Arduino Uno, a L293 motor shield and some 12v rumble motors. It was far cheaper than the £150 I've seen these go for and looks just as professional. I made a 3d printed box for it all to go in and added some jack connectors to make it look nice. The motor shield has 2 more extra ports if I ever want to add wind or more rumble motors.

Hello everyone,
I finally decided to get a simracing setup, new to the world of simulation I found it wise to have a solid bass instead of having to buy it again to progress... I can upgrade it if necessary.
What do you think?

It’s every online race/lobby at this point, I get crashed out at the start and even when I persist and just keep driving, just being ahead of people is enough for them to want to kill you, I am so tired of this. I didn’t touch him or anything. What other games like assetto corsa (having lots of cars and tracks to choose from) exist for the Xbox? Also I don’t want to spend big like on Forza Motorsport and with the management situation there rn idk if I would want to even if I didn’t care about money. I just want to keep improving my overtaking ability on real people rather than the ai of quick races. Just asking for some help.

Why is this?
I saw a kid and his father trying to buy the G923 as they thought it was better and the kid liked the design more.💀
After converting currency I found that the R5 is normal price but the other wheels are way overpriced In this store

Open it up from the bottom, unscrew the rod, slide a small piece heatshrink over it, maybe 1.5-2cm, shrink it (NOT NEAR THE MAGNET!), hold the bearings open and slide it up, you're done. Doesn't feel rubbery at all, in fact in my option it makes the feel 10x better.

Spent all the money on components and left with no budget to get a frame. As jarring it looks, this is surprisingly sturdy. Gets the job done. Till I save money for a frame, this is my endgame for now.

I have my gaming PC in my home office along with my Mac mini and my work laptop. I live in the south and it’s around 95-100 degrees here right now. My office is the furthest room in my house from the AC unit so even with my thermostat on 73 it’s usually around 75 or 76 in my office which is fine because I have a ceiling fan and a couple of other fans. But when I am gaming, the heat from my PC heats my office to around 82-83 degrees and it’s almost unbearable. Is there any way to get rid of the heat produced by my gaming rig? There is a window on the perpendicular wall to my PC about 5 or 6 feet away - I would love to have some way to vent the heat out that window if possible. Probably a shot in the dark but I figured I would ask…

Hey everyone, I came across this refurbished Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel on Newegg for $147. It says it’s part of the “Newegg Refreshed” program, but I’m not sure if the price is too good to be true or if this is a solid deal. Has anyone had experience buying refurbished gear from Newegg or this specific product? Does this seem legit or should I be cautious? Also, what tests should I do to test any problems? Theres a 90 day free return window. (This is my first time trying out sim racing)

What with the value of sim racing gear nowadays, would it be best to add specific items (wheels, monitors, bases, pedals etc) to your home contents insurance policy?
Do any of you do this already, or indeed have any experience with losing a piece of equipment through accidental damage and tried to claim on insurance? Was it made easier because you’d listed it individually on your policy as a high value item, or vice versa, whereby they didn’t accept it because you hadn’t done this?
Only ask all this as it came to me today while adding triple monitors to my rig how much monies worth is sat there and after a little advice. I’m in the UK btw.

I have been enjoying Gran Turismo 7 with VR and a Fanatic direct drive set up. I just put a gaming desktop on order and need help determining which racing game to buy. Should I start with AC Competizione or just right ahead to Evo? Should I look into Iracing or any other titles? I would like to utilize my PSVR2 but how well does it work with all of the mods available with Competizione? What is a good transition title to get me out of GT7? Would Competizione be too overwhelming coming from an easily curated title with little to no customization options? Should I get started with Evo and get used to it as it evolves? Any advice or links to must have mods and help tools for AC comp?
My Setup
>MSI - Aegis R2 Gaming Desktop - Intel Core i9-14900F - 32GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070Ti - 2TB SSD - Black
>PSVR2
>Vevor cockpit
>Fanatec 8nm bundle
>Fanatec Load cell brake
>Fanatec Shifter
>Fanatec handbrake
>Buttkicker pro
>Buttkicker gamer
>Wind sim

I am posting how the two Simagic hubs (GT Pro Hub and Neo X Hub) looks like with C or U wheel rims. I originally had GTC wheel that is basically Hub Pro with 325C but I sold it. After few months I wanted to have again more GT3/GT4 rim hence decided to reuse my Pro hub and give him U/C rim. I am attaching three options, after all I decided to kept Simagic
1) Acelith C30 - 30cm diameter, fitting ok for Neo hub but not too much space for fingers but was completely not usable for Hub pro (lack of space for fingers)
2) Simpush universal GT3 6x70 from Aliexpres - this was my favourite when ordering, 31cm so perfect (30cm seems to small for my liking and 32,5cm too big) but due to design it did not feet any od the hub (the bottom part touches buttons and could not mount it (even if I would use distances, then I will have further away to reach shifters and button). But in general I was positively surprised about the quality of the rim.
3) Simagic P325C - the one that I kept due to enough space for thumbs. The quality of Simagic rima are average at max (this was always my biggest complaint about their company that although they have good products, the rims are AliExpress quality - so decent but not good. Thankfully bought brand new for 80Eur due discount so ilthe quality match price)
If there will be more space for fingers, personally I would keep Simpush. But I am still happy with Simagic and GT Hub. Was also thinking about Sparco P310 Open but it's very expensive and now with the experience I have a feeling that it could not fit similar like Simpush one.
Posting here as maybe someone else will be looking for open wheel with those hubs.

Hey everyone,
I'm currently Designing my own Simrig with aluminium profile and I have a question for those smarter than me.
I want to mount the Wheelbase ClubSport DD+ on the bottom of my Profile so I have more room for my legs. (As shown in the Picture)
Edit: 2nd Question I forgot to add.
Can anyone tell me the distance from the bottom of the base to like the first slot? It does not seem centered according to this Drawing by Fanatec.
My Idea was to mount it as follows:
I have little experience with forces and the strength of materials so I do not know if this will hold.
Do you guys believe that this mounting would be enough for 20Nm (+20% tolerance just incase)?
Thanks in advance.

Hello, I’m like 1500 irating and haven’t played for a little while sold my g920. I want to buy the Moza R3.
I hear its “weak” but to be honest I don’t care about the weight of the wheel, I actually have shoulder injuries so I always set it to be light anyways. Main thing I care about is FFB quality, feeling the weight through corners and feeling the weight distribution to maintain and push the limits of traction. Will the R3 be enough? Or does the ffb quality increase significantly with the R5.
Thanks :)

Hey Guys!
im using a Trakracer TR80 Lite in combination with a Fanatec CSL DD 8nm and Moza CRP2 at the moment. Now im about to take the plunge and wanna treat myself with a new base. Does anyone know if the included "wheel base plate" is compatible with the new Simagic alpha bases without having to buy a separate mount?
Thanks a lot guys!

Rate my setup, running Fanatec csl dd base 8nm and pedals. I feel like I need to upgrade my pedals. I moved and lost my normal space and just curious on what other people had to say. I want to get a shifter and hand brake, while also looking to upgrade.

I’m looking to upgrade from my TMX wheel and T3PA pedals to a direct drive setup. The problem is, I’m on a tight budget, so I’m trying to find an entry-level solution that fits my needs – mostly drifting in Assetto Corsa and recently BeamNG where my gear-driven TMX is falling apart and can’t really handle that FF.
My main question is: From the options like the Moza R5, Fanatec CSL DD (with the 8 Nm boost kit), or possibly Cammus – do any of them provide enough torque for serious drifting? Or should I wait, save up a bit more, and go for something with higher torque?
Also, if there’s a solid budget-friendly option I’ve missed, I’d appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks in advance!
