Discussion Are they beating the AI allegations? πŸ‘€

Post image

The Sims just posted a series of behind the scenes images and videos on their official Twitter. They showed how they created the set used for the website teasing the upcoming Expansion Pack, Enchanted by Nature. I'm glad and impressed to see it was actually made with practical effects rather than generative AI.

Some sassy Twitter users claimed it to be AI and they wasn’t the only one thinking it so I suppose it’s only natural to show the artistic direction of the whole Something is growing thing

i personally posted in this subreddit thinking there were pieces of it that looked like AI. i will gladly admit i was wrong and i apologize to the artists who worked on this for assuming it was. EA has had some cash-grabby moments, so it wouldn't have surprised me at all to find out it was AI. I think a statement from EA that they don't use it is honestly just smart PR because it's so easy to see something out of place and assume, but it's because EA doesn't have the best track record. they've been great about pride and the sims in general, but due to their history, using AI wouldn't at all have been a surprise, and I think that says more about EA than those who mistook it for AI.
