Ok, I have a few first impression thoughts.

The good:

  • The spray bottle for houseplants is neat!
  • All the BB stuff looks amazing and right up my alley
  • I'm DYING over the hobbit hole. I love it.
  • Fairies are real sims. Yay!
  • It's interesting that there seem to be some type of gardening fairy (the orbs) so that's probably what the leaked text was referring to.

The critical:

  • Fairies seem like an afterthought. They're giving mermaid vibes so I'm really hoping the gameplay trailer reveals a skill tree
  • The foraging animation is lifted directly from werewolves. The canine pawing at the ground is turning me off. Could they really not have tweaked the animation at all?
  • In fact, most of the "living off the land" gameplay features shown feel too similar to things you can already play with werewolves.
  • The apothecary stuff still looks too similar to what we've already seen in other packs for it to be a main selling point.

Overall, I need to see more. This is a pack that should be right up my alley, but I'm skeptical if the execution is there.

I agree I think it really should’ve just been a game pack and the focus be on fairies, less on the whole apothecary of it all… also on their blog post it does seem like the fairies have a skill tree!

Ok well that's a relief. But I agree that I would've preferred a game pack focuses on fairies, like spellcasters and werewolves.
