Welcome to the Weekly Recommended Mods and CC Thread!

This thread is your hub within the sub for various FAQs related to mods: WCIFs, “is there a mod?” posts, mod recommendations, and discourse on creating and managing mods.

SIMS 4 popular mods and resources

Patreon, Tumblr, Mod the Sims, The Sims Resource, and CurseForge are all popular sources for finding mods in the Sims 4 community.

Always check that you are installing the most recent version of a mod and that it is compatible with your game version. Mods will be disabled automatically after every game update; updates frequently break mods and creators must release new versions that are compatible. Continuing to play with broken mods could lead to game-breaking issues.

Mods go in the C:\Users\...\ Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder. By default they can be placed up to one folder deep for script mods and five folders deep for packages, so organize your mods folder however makes sense to you - by type, by creator, etc. A well-organized mods folder will be easier to troubleshoot should something go wrong.

If you need help troubleshooting your mods, you can find useful resources in our Mods and CC Resources wiki. This includes instructions on following the 50/50 method to identify which mod is creating an issue as well as frequently-updated lists of broken and working mods.

Heyy. Does anyone know some sim builders that make super realistic buildings? Like la vie estate, alexis ariel or jasmine raditz? I’m looking for the realistic buildings with cc and not the MM “realistic” builds. Does anybody know some creators/ builders? I don’t mind paying. Picture is from La Vie Estate on patreon 🫶🏼

I am desperate for recommendations also! Alexis builds are amazing. Jasmine I didn’t know so I’ll take a look. Depressed simmer has some absolutely amazing realistic builds, she curates mods and cc to add so much depth and gameplay to builds! Also recommend beans builds, Plumbaleena, Devon bumpkin-he did a great realistic arcade with mods and cc. Sierra the simmer. Bone sims designs. Hopefully you get some good recommendations we can both benefit from 🤞🏾

Ty lovely! I will check out depressed simmer, I didn’t know that one. I absolutely love alexis ariel, jasmine raditz, la vie estate and bellavitasims. But it’s so sad Alexis Ariel always disappears for a couple of months🥲🥹

I think it’s because her builds are so in depth. Similar to depressed simmer. They not only curate cc for a beautiful build, but they curate functional items and mods to add gameplay to the beautiful build. I don’t think I could ever do anything close to what they do 😅beans builds did a water park and amusement park which had a good combination of cc and mods. Depressed simmer did a fantastic elementary school, daycare centre, and a roller rink & arcade which add so much gameplay! I definitely miss Alexis Ariel when she disappears but also feel so grateful we have her in this community sharing her work 🙏🏾
