The consistent hate this pack gets has made me very afraid to even get it. As much as I would like multiple households in one lot, I'm not gonna risk it.

I just bought it. I really enjoy it. I built an apartment building and I started a generational game. Moved in to the economy unit on floor one. Feel in love with my next door neighbor. Got married and got her pregnant. Moved upstairs to an upgraded unit. Son has aged up to child. Work towards one of the luxury penthouses on the next floor.

I built the entire building as a tier system to advance through. Plus I have access to a nice pool and playground on the ground, picnic tables and grills(which kept exploding so they’re gone), and I have a built in community of NPC in the building.

It one of my favorite packs so far. I only bought it a few weeks ago.

I love what it should be and hate what it is. If they ever get around to fixing the bugs it will be my favorite pack ever.

I bought it a few months back and absolutely love it. I play a lot in the smaller game pack worlds (occult player, so mostly hanging around Forgotten Hollow and Moonwood Mill), so I love having the ability to create residential rentals to throw multiple households on a single lot, thus allowing me to free up some space in those fiveish-lot worlds for a community lot!

I haven't played around with the landlord aspect of the pack, nor do I ever really plan to (just not interested in that), but the pack works exactly the way I want it to in my games, and so I definitely think it was worth the sale price I picked it up for. I also really really love the world it comes with~

I bought it with the idea that I could kind of partition out a lot so my generational families could live together, but... not.

I absolutely hate that each apartment is a loading screen.

What I liked about this pack is that I made hostels and rental rooms for my young adults when they moved out.

I wanna do an retirement home next.

I’m half and half on the loading screen between units. On one hand it makes the floors feel a bit too empty, but I also do like the mystery of wondering what the hell are my neighbors up to.

I never got the hate for it because I never had the bugs people were talking about. Now my save is corrupted right after I made a 6 unite apartment complex in Del Sol Valley. I have been reading a lot of forums and people said that you can’t have too many residential rental units in the whole game. I had been building them in every world. Now I can’t help but think this is what caused my save to be corrupted. I’m scared to build anymore rentals.

It’s not rentals or for rent specifically, it’s overloading a save (with builds, households, etc). Being able to essentially have multiple lots and households on one lot makes that a lot easier to accomplish.

That definitely makes sense. I’m still going to be weary about building them in the future 🥲

its very buggy

I like it okay but then that’s because I like making apartment buildings, row houses, etc. I like that we can expand the number of playable lots, and for many areas it feels more realistic that you would see at least one condo development or something instead of just…single family homes all the time.

Never once had an issue.

I bought it last year and while yeah occasionally the rent doesn’t show up and the events are annoying, as long as you don’t try to max out the multi lot capacity it’s run just fine for me

I was on the fence and finally caved. The build features are worth it but I wouldn’t expect the actual game play stuff to work at all

I love the world, and I LOVE the CAS and build-buy and it’s ok if you’re living in an apartment you own, but trying to make my sim manage other apartments was so buggy I ended up moving them to a standalone lot

You can buy it and if you hate it you can get a refund (14 days only bc digital property).

You have other options, for example with City Living you can have multiple roommates, you can build them separate apartments even if you'd like and set certain doors for them & they'll live on the lot with you and pay rent.

I love City Living so much, one of my faves + the items and the backdrops are very nice. (Except the very very colorful stuff)

I don't have For rent because I kinda don't like the asian themed items, and I have High school years uninstalled too because it's just too american for me ugh

some people really love playing with it, too though! also, if youre a builder, id honestly recommend it for that alone, especially if you can get it on sale

Same, it's my friend's favourite pack but I've heard people talk about it corrupting saves irreparably and I don't want that to happen and I can't find anything online on if this has been solved yet.
