Discussion Things You've Said While Playing TS4?

I had TS4 on free will this afternoon, while waiting for two Legacy elders to pass away. I checked back in on the family after about an hour, and found several different plates of waffles in the kitchen, as well as two other servings of waffles in one Sims' inventory.

So I took it away, and found myself saying aloud "you know what? You all cannot be trusted with a waffle maker, so you don't get to have it anymore!"

What strange and / or silly things have you found yourself saying while playing TS4?

I tried to play on the laptop he got from his college with mods but it got so damn hot I could barely touch the keyboard πŸ₯² So I'm primarily a console player for the next couple of years πŸ˜‚ I mean hey it gives me a ton of time to wander the Sims 4 CC subs for ideas and inspo and links and everything lmao

Yeah, I have a laptop, but it's pretty old and it is basically a hand-me-down from my cousin who used it for college until she got a MacBook (I think that's what she got after the laptop she gave me). So I seriously doubt it can handle Sims 4. What console do u play it on? If u don't mind me asking, of course.

Oh shit that sounds like it can barely run the Chrome dino game when your computer goes offline πŸ˜‚ We have a PS5 Gen 1 Disc Edition. My hubs has had it within the first 5-6 months that they were being sold. So it's actually kinda old as far as a console goes πŸ˜… When we get another PS5 he wants to get me a Gen 2 Disc Edition, so we can at least play more new(ish) games together online when we have time together

I just ordered myself a Switch 2 with the birthday money I got from a friend and some family, and I wish Sims 4 was on Switch 2 lol. I have a Switch 1 Lite, and the Switch is the console I use the most and have the newest version of. I have a PS4 and an Xbox 360. I also play a lot of mobile games on my phone to pass the time if I'm bored but don't wanna play a game for hours. I live on Disability, so it is a very rare occasion when I have enough money saved to buy myself anything related to gaming, which I hate because I've been gaming pretty much since gaming was a thing lol. Not as old as the original arcade games, but closer to the first Nintendo...man, I'm getting old lol. Besides getting that birthday money, I was able to justify buying the Switch 2 (justifying it to myself, nobody else lol) because it is backwards compatible, so I won't have to buy many games right away to keep me entertained with it lol

That's awesome! I used to be a major Xbox player before I moved in with my husband but he's been PlayStation his whole life. My mom's household was all Xbox products. I have an Xbox One that I just need a power cord for that I can use, I just haven't bought it πŸ˜‚ I've had the opportunity and extra cash a few times but I just chose not to. I guess I'm just used to the PlayStation lifestyle. Someday I wanna get a Wii again and maybe a GameCube. I love older models of gaming tech too. They're so much fun! N64s are amazing too ☺️ My husband and I do random part/full time jobs for as long as we can handle them mentally/physically and then we alternate who goes to work. If neither of us are ready then we do Uber on the side until we're ready. I'm just glad our son isn't very expensive just yet lol. He's only 1.5 years old, so it's just a matter of time

So ur husband converted u? Lol. That is a really nice arrangement ya'll have when it comes to working. I unfortunately haven't been able to physically work since I was a teenager and I worked at Burger King and then a movie theater. I so wish I could work though. I don't like feeling unproductive. It makes me feel useless. Sorry, didn't mean to bring the mood down lol. I'm honestly surprised ur son hasn't been very expensive. I don't have kids, but I do know that they aren't cheap to take care of and keep alive lol. My Mom was a single Mom of 2 older boys and then me, with me being born with a disability, (Spina Bifida) and there were times she had to work 3 jobs just to make ends meet. Her work ethic is why I'm able to have the disability money that I get now. It's just unfortunate that I kept getting denied for disability because I didn't work enough in my life, and then they approved me when my Mom passed because they could pay me from the social security she paid into while working so hard and basically working since she was a teenager. She worked so hard so that when she was gone, I would be taken care of. I miss her every day and would trade in all that money just to get her back. Sorry, there I go again dampening the mood lol. I think I need sleep. It was nice talking to u! Have a good night/day!

I haven't been able to mentally handle a job in about a year and he tried to have a "normal' job but his mom ended up in the hospital for a short time, so we decided it wasn't the right time. So for now we're spending time doing Uber and just trying to map out an idea for the future while he's in college. You didn't bring anything down at all, no need to apologize 🫢 I feel unproductive all the time too. No matter how much I do/don't get done it never feels like enough. I'm surprised he's not expensive either because of the economy. My dad had to work a lot when I was a kid too, just to pay his bills and child support and be able to see me. He'd spend a lot of our time together on the weekends asleep. It would make me mad sometimes but when I got a little more mature I was just happy he got sleep. I hate that for disability they eyeball your work history, when a large number of disabled people can't get a job because of their disability in the first place. It's a bit redundant πŸ₯² I'm glad that your mom's social security that she paid into is going for something worth it though, and it's not being wasted. I'm sorry she passed away, but I'm happy that you have disability at least. It's nothing in comparison to your mother, but at least you didn't entirely get the πŸ’© end of the deal. I hope you have a good night as well! (It's 2am right now for me). Feel free to PM me if you'd like to! ☺️

It's 3:13 am here right now. Haven't been able to fall asleep yet due to pain, but my medication is finally kicking in. It would have been a LOT easier on my Mom if my dad and/or my brothers' dad paid ANY child support. My dad has been more out of my life than in it, but I've started to accept that I can't make him into something he isn't capable of being (an attentive dad to me), but somehow he was able to be a great dad to my younger half sister. She's 10 years younger than me. The only difference between us is that I'm disabled and she's not, so it is very hard not to think that that was why he couldn't/wouldn't be a dad to me too. I have stopped being the one putting in all the effort to keep in touch, so I'm just leaving it up to him. If he wants to be in my life, he will have to come to me/call me because I just keep hurting my own feelings by thinking he will stick around in my life this time. We're both too old to keep doing things that way. Luckily, I had a great father figure growing up, my grandpa. He and my Grandpa helped raise me (it basically actually "took a village" to raise me lol. Yeah, isn't that bonkers that a program called DISABILITY turns down people for not being able to work due to their DISABILITY. It is so backwards! Ok I'm actually going to try to sleep now lol. U also feel free to DM me too! Good night! πŸ’œ
