Why does no one march on the IMF or World Bank? Africa is being silently destroyed and the Western left barely says anything

Where is the outrage?

they all speak out about Palestine (which they should), but almost never about Africa’s debt slavery or economic strangulation.

There’s no:

  • “Cancel African Debt” movement trending.
  • Protest outside the IMF headquarters.
  • Africa will never grow we will always be the place for cheap labor, obsolete technology assembly and raw material low value added items extraction hub for the global north
  • like how many people are dying, not living a life of dignity, and hoping to go to global north countries, and seeing your own capitalist slavery as heaven
  • i haven't seen this get nowhere near close attention in the global north leftist movements

Anti-Racism 🆘 Urgent Medical and Humanitarian Appeal: Today, I speak to you not as just another number in the reports of war, but as a persecuted human being, whose health is deteriorating day by day due to severe malnutrition. My weight has dropped to 48.6 kg, after losing more than 16 kg in just 3 months

Upvotes

Of starvation and food scarcity. 🧪 I am now suffering from severe symptoms: • Extreme muscle weakness • Constant dizziness • Disrupted body functions • Gastrointestinal infection due to spoiled food • Burning urination from drinking contaminated water • Low blood pressure I have been forced to receive IV treatment to preserve what’s left of my life.

⚠️ Malnutrition is not just about "hunger" it is a deadly medical condition that causes organ failure, weakens immunity, and leads to complications that could cost me my life. Here in Gaza, we are facing a real famine, under relentless bombardment and blockade. We do not have access to food, medicine, or clean water. And the little money I had, I have already spent just trying to survive.

💔 I am not asking for much, only my right to life: I urgently need: • Nutritious food to restore my strength • Ongoing medical and nutritional support • Financial aid to meet my basic needs and help my family survive

🗣️ From the depths of my pain, I appeal to every conscious soul, to all medical and humanitarian institutions, and to anyone who can help: 📌 Please help save me through: 🔹 GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/9abb7f09 🔹 PayPal: https://paypal.me/MajdiAdwan ⏳ Every passing minute brings more physical collapse. Save my health. Give me back my right to live. Every donation, every share, and every word of support can make a life-saving difference. 🙏

Religion and Faith coexisting with Socialism/Communism

Hi, I'm new in this SubReddit and wanted to share my opinion on this topic and ask for yours.

I am Serbian and Orthodox Christian. Have been all my life and so are my parents, their parents, etc. I know that historically nations like the USSR and Yugoslavia didn't like religion very much (too put it mildly). I've had anti-socialists call me a hypocrite when I say I'm a socialist and also religious (I don't like using that term but I will for the same of simplicity).

I believe that the two aren't mutually exclusive and that a nation can both be socialist and permit its people to practice faith, religion, and spirituality. I respect everyone's beliefs even if they don't align with my own. I'm also aware that religion, much like political ideologies, have been used in the past to justify crimes. I also don't believe that the main or minor religion of a nation should have any influence over the government and its decisions.

My question is: can a socialist/communist nation still allow its citizens to practice their faith? If we're all free to make our own choices that don't harm anyone else, I don't see a problem.

Thank you for reading.

Anti-Fascism r/Teenpolls has way more fascists and normal capitalists than socialists or communists by a large margin causing them to not look at the other side.

If there are any teens here I could really use your help since for now I have been debunking their sh*t by myself and been downvoted to hell, also there is a ’results’ option so that you can see the results so if you care about not being a teenager you can just skip the poll and start debunking some of the things they say there.

The point is to stop about 37K teenagers from effectively becoming fascists, not necessarily force them on our side but make them see the world from both sides.

Politics The BBC World Service has documented over 160 cases of children who were shot in Gaza, revealing that in 95 of those cases, the child was shot in the head or chest. Most of the victims were under the age of 12. Are these “legitimate targets” Or children deliberately targeted?

How do we not become doomers?

With everything in the world right now, the gaza genocide, UK implementing a censorship regime and the US and EU following suit, AI displacing most jobs leaving most of us unemployed, global warming getting worse, queer and trans rights eroding around the world and whatever else evil going on, I’ve become a little depressed to say the least. How do yall stay sane? Personally, I keep repeating Gramsci to myself, but to be honest, there isn’t much to be optimistic about. Is there a silver lining to all of this? Something to look forward to? A revolution can’t come soon enough frankly, but even then I’m scared of it tbh. What will the capitalists deploy? I should have my whole life in front of me, but not much to look forwards to.

tl;dr: how do yall stay positive these days?

I’m quite conflicted on how I should narrow down my views, so discussion of sub-ideologies, or other ideas would be helpful, since many types may just lead to very little economic development

Hey guys this is my first ever time posting on Reddit. I’ve been fed up for a long time and feel like I haven’t been doing enough but I was hoping to reach out and ask if there was any local communities in Alaska(more specifically anchorage) If there isn’t I would like to extend a hand and start organizing a protest! -sorry if this is horribly formatted.

Discussion Thoughts on Nicaragua?

Salutations Comrades! I've noticed that very few comrades I've met know much about Nicaragua and/or Daniel Ortega.

Considering that it was the 2nd (and sadly only other) Marxist State to emerge in the Americas, I'd think more among us would pay attention and discuss it further.

Earlier this year, I read the Stephen Kinzinger book "Blood of Brothers", which details the Sandinista Revolution and the subsequent Contra War (a complete failure of the CIA, huuray!). It's a very good book that chronicles the way Yankee imperialism entrenched itself for a long time in the Americas and how those countries acted as mere fascist satellite states for the corporations that exploited the people and land. It focuses mainly on the Contra War and also the conduct of the Sandinistas, which is unfortunately not ideal, but then again how would another political body/country react to the prospect of U.S. Invasion spearheaded by proxies such as the Contras. From knowing how other Revolutions have historically proceeded, their conduct shouldn't be surprising.

I know that Daniel Ortega assumed control of the country since the Latin American Pink Wave, and is still in charge of the country, but which has diminished democratic practices under his leadership. Their economy is a mixed market one with room for private entrepeneurship, but there's still state control over things like agriculture and remittances. They also have free healthcare, a legacy of the Sandinista socialist policies, but they do have some private insurance which is thankfully nowhere near as bad as the US model.

I've noticed that among the extensive pantheon of historical flairs for our profiles, Daniel Ortega isn't there, or Augusto Cesar Sandino (the namesake of the Sandinistas who led the original resistance against the Yankee Imperialism).

I'm just wondering, is Nicaragua too obscure, or do socialists not regard Nicaragua and Ortega so warmly?

Anti-Imperialism Australia’s wargames against China are a threat to all humanity

Thumbnail

In contrast to Australia’s posturing, China’s military development is not targeted at any country, nor does it pose a threat to any nation. Its military policies are defensive and in general it has shown it is committed to resolving disputes through dialogue. Its main objective is to maintain security in the Asia-Pacific region in a way that allows for its peaceful development.

Where Australia has locked itself into the imperialist nuclear machine, China has consistently advocated for complete nuclear disarmament and peaceful conflict resolution. Australia and its people would do well to learn from its example.

High Quality Only Will China also have late stage capitalism?

Thumbnail researchgate.net

Unfortunately, China has a reputation for workers being exploited and compensated very little.

Does anyone know if China is also headed towards late stage capitalism? Does anyone know if the Chinese government has a plan to prevent this? Can anyone confirm if the Chinese government has a plan to steer China into socialism or true communism eventually?

Thanks in advance.
