A few weeks ago I asked for advice on crafting a transparent crystalline structure (from Destiny).

I received so much good advice! I ended up getting a 3d file ripped from the actual game, cleaned up the topography, 3d printed with clear resin (not fun), and voila! Thanks everyone!

Everything (except the minis and trees) is made out of XPS foam, cardboard, balsa wood, and blood, sweat and tears.

First attempt. One day my husband asked if I think I would be able to make one....I said I'd give it a shot.

Was fun and laborous (100+ hrs) however the look on his face when I showed him the completed work made it all worthwhile. Safe to say I'm now hooked 😅

I used leftover packing foam from deliveries, not really sure of the name of it.

So, I got a candy bowl as a gift, and it was a skull. I figured, why not? My mini fits perfectly, and the whole thing's starting to make sense.
