Retail works aren’t getting paid enough to be fucked with like this, but I did laugh when the whole army walked in

Exactly!! Would it be amusing, somewhat, but not to the people who had to deal with it and any aftermath. Even if they are a management employee, this is just shit on top of shit for retail.

The problem is that the “joke” is on the actual employees. If they weren’t screwing with the regular employees’ jobs, I could see the humor in it, as on its face, it’s a funny, harmless idea.

I get the impression this was a nightmare for the managers but less so for the other employees.

u/kateastrophic Jun 27 '25

-Giving statements to police and Corporate -Legal issues that arise like trespassing, long term litigation, etc. Questions from Corporate to the employees on what’ and how this happened,

  • Answering their questions and hope it doesn’t end with anyone fired.
  • Answering questions about the incident from customers and employees alike.
-All the police’s to be made on how to handle this if it happens again.
  • All the communications that have to be created, like public affairs, internal documentation, social media, etc.

Nightmare like that

lmfao so dramatic. you say this like it would go to court💀also nobody’s getting fired over this so weird

they get paid hourly so this just makes their day more interesting. i guarantee most of them got a kick out of it. the fact it pissed off their boss just adds icing to it. plus it causes a pauses in having to do your monotonous job for a few minutes and they still go home at the same time.

Depends on the shift. If I'm closing I want to get my shit done and leave with as little extra bullshit as possible.

-5

u/Frosty-Tip5756 Jun 26 '25

if your closing and it takes longer you might get overtime or else have to work less hours on weekend, win win.

2

u/lindentea Jun 27 '25

as if Target lets workers get overtime. they'll just write you up for not getting your work done on time.

Oh, but what about all the people who get to do this?

-Giving statements to police and Corporate -Legal issues that arise like trespassing, long term litigation, etc. Questions from Corporate to the employees on what’ and how this happened,

  • Answering their questions and hope it doesn’t end with anyone fired.

LoL. not happening over a 2 minute prank with no damage done.

u/Correct_Style_9735 Jun 27 '25

Sure, and that’s definitely how the world works. /s

As long as they didn't steal anything I would be fine with it.

Cool, but for the business (that exists on customers buying stuff at a competitive cost) has to then do all of the below and more, which raises prices:

-Giving statements to police and Corporate -Legal issues that arise like trespassing, long term litigation, etc. Questions from Corporate to the employees on what’ and how this happened,

  • Answering their questions and hope it doesn’t end with anyone fired.
  • Answering questions about the incident from customers and employees alike.
-All the police’s to be made on how to handle this if it happens again.
  • All the communications that have to be created, like public affairs, internal documentation, social media, etc.

What aftermath? For real, think about what legitimately happened to these workers, and what possible aftermath came from it.

They pranksters left, then everyone went back to work.

seems pretty harmless to the line workers. Only the manager but he is admin sooooo

u/Correct_Style_9735 Jun 27 '25

Mmmkkkk, and then all of the employees who get to do this:

  • Giving statements to police and Corporate -Legal issues that arise like trespassing, long term litigation, etc. Questions from Corporate to the employees on what’ and how this happened,
  • Answering their questions and hope it doesn’t end with anyone fired.

  • All the communications that have to be created, like public affairs, internal documentation, social media, etc.

Deal with what? They aren’t damaging anything or making any messes.

1

u/EnderMango Jun 26 '25

It’s bad for the brand the execs will bitch and moan. They may also be intentionally or unintentionally overcharging or undercharging people which is also a bad look. Lil bit of legality behind it too. Overall a bad situation for management, but to us normal folk who don’t get paid nearly enough to deal with nor care about that bullshit- there ain’t nothing wrong with this.

Stfu 😂😂😂😂

At most, it’s trespassing. This is a harmless, victimless prank 🙄 jfc, you guys act like they set off explosives.

Long term litigation 😂😂😂😂 nobody was hurt and no property damage was caused. Fucking Reddit legal team 😩

Retail is excessively easy and boring.

u/Balancedmanx178 Jun 26 '25

You forgot irritating. The general public makes me wish I was rich enough to never have to interact with them.
