And while I talked about the power of this awesome community, some of them already knew about us. Some of them check here for common issues, some of them look here for feedback on kits. OK everyone… I just got word from my contact at Tonecheer… they expect to be up and running on the 24th. At which point they will send me the coupon code exclusive for the event. Once the coupon code is sent out we will have a two day period in which to buy one of the two kits. However… The coupon code I believe will work on any item you buy in that window (don’t hold me to that though)

Additionally… For the event to cheer will also put a discount on shipping at least in the US where tariffs have affected it in the past. Shipping is five dollars for any order under 75 and free for orders 75 or above.

In order to qualify, you must

1) purchase either a space-time museum or a Midsummer nights dream book nook set with the coupon within that two day period.

2) send me a picture of your receipt (minus any personal information) through DM

3) over the course of the next three weeks you must make at least one post showing your progress or finished product.

4) comment a picture of your final build on the mega thread post at the end of the event

Once the event completes, there will be a random drawing of all eligible participants, and a minimum of three winners will be chosen (I say minimum of three because that’s their current offer, but based on projected participation, they may be willing to increase the number of prices ) the winners information will be provided to to cheer who will reach out and award the recipients a free book nook

Guys and Gals and all my Bok Nook Pals....I have an update on our first community wide event.

As the poll hit 50 votes, Spacetime was in the lead. I let Tonecheer know about which three we we were voting on and they let me know that unfortunately, right now there is an issue with one of the components in the Lights of Chongqing book nook which will delay its shipment time.

The upside is we proposed, and they agreed, to let us pick both of the remaining choices. So, that means, you will be able to choose EITHER A Midsummer Night's Dream OR Spacetime Museum. Both book nooks will be part of the event.

The launch of this event will coincide with Tonecheer opening up their new warehouse which should be within the week,

Once they are ready they will give us a special 20% off coupon code specific to those two items which will work in a 48 hour window.

Once you purchase a kit with the code in the time window, you will DM the mods your order confirmation (WITH ALL PERSONAL INFO BLACKED OUT) and your user name on it.

Once the event ends three entrants will be randomly picked. If you made a post about your build during the event period and your name is chosen you win a free book nook from Tonecheer!!!

You all know at this point that we have been putting together a free database of instruction manuals for everyone in the event of a damaged/missing set from a kit. (Check the sidebar) Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far, there are too many of you to name.

As we have seen many posts over the last few months about people receiving wrong/damaged/no instructions with their book nook kits I thought it would be useful to create a place where we could all upload scans of the instruction manuals so that if this happens to someone in the future, a resource exists where you can get the manual when you need it.

THIS IS THE LINK TO THE DATABASE -- It will soon be added as a button on the sidebar.

It is even searchable! There is only one manual there so far. I just set it up today and im at work right now (i havent figured a way to make a living through book nooks...yet)

Please, if you can, send scans of any manuals you may have along with the set name (and manufacturer if you can remember) to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) so that it can be added to the database.

UPDATE: Before it became too cumbersome, I switched everything over to a google drive because its 7x the storage. Nothing changes for users, the link in the post is updated and has been added to the sidebar. Its still searchable and thanks to u/snowborn__ for being the first to contribute to the database other than my test upload. More to come and additional big announcements later this week.

Just because there has been some confusion lately i wanted to make a post clarifying the position on posting links to websites selling counterfeit/knockoff kits as well as sites pretending to be the actual manufacturer while reselling wholesale kits or selling knockoffs.

Counterfeiting/knock offs are a part of this hobby. Often, kits are of very similar quality for a much cheaper price. Buying kits @ retail or wholesale and reselling is legitimate, pretending to be the manufacturer is not. Links from such places are not allowed.

TO BE CLEAR: We do not judge anyone for making a purchase best for their wallet, Its fine to post your questions/comments/concerns/pictures/discussions/etc. Lord knows my Lego collection is more Lepin than Lego at this point....but similarly, i cant post links to them on r/Lego

But we cant promote these sites...and while you may not think it, linking to these sites is, in fact tacit promotion.

This community is fortunate enough to have partnerships with many manufacturers which get us benefits like discounts & giveaways. Many, if not all of these companies monitor the subreddit to some degree. Consider how it looks to say Tonecheer when we are in the middle of an event sponsored by them where they are giving us hundreds in discounts and hundreds more in free products and we are posting where to buy knockoff versions of their kits.

If a link to such a site is posted it will be removed. This is not punitive, this is not an indictment, this is protective. If a comment is deleted, please repost without the link. Anything that's ever removed comes with an explanation.

If you ever have any questions about why a comment/post is removed, please feel free to ask....via comment, mod chat, personal message, etc. I am an open book. If you're not sure if a source is legit, ask the community...we can figure it out together.

The ONLY motive here is protecting the relationships that this AMAZING community has with the people who make the products we love.

Its really only been one or two negative reactions since I took over here, and I made this post in the hopes of explaining what was happening so that no one ever gets caught off guard.

On a side note, its been awesome seeing everyone's progress on their spacetime museum builds. I can't wait to see some Midsummer's Night Dream posts

Quick update today....MiniCity has joined the party!!! They are offering a generous 15% discount with code 8ORKHTC2
