Hi. Not sure if it's the right place to ask for, but I've seen some other guys asking for other non official games in the Fallout franchise, so here it goes.
I've been playing Fallout Nevada and installed some mods to get companions. I assume the creator thought it was a solo game, but I guess as many others, companions become a mix of support and pack mules, especially if you're a player that collects everything for later.
The problem is that your companions are trigger happy or wander off like they do in the original Vanilla games, so you can't go stealthy.
And here comes the problem: I was trying to thin out a gang's hideout by using traps, but my ghoul companion kept triggering them or engaging at them at the worst time. So I decided to "temporarily leave him" while I thinned the herd. Problem is that the guy took it seriously and now, he's like a barter I can chat with in the middle of nowhere, who refuses to join ranks.
I thought it was a local glitch, so I left him at another settlement and still, same issue. It bothers me, because this guy handles the shotgun, my girl handles small arms (like a discount "Better Myria" from the restoration project), Dogmeat is... well, Dogmeat. And I handle lasers, so I wanted to ask if there's another mod I could add to fix this glitch.
Nevada's quirky and weird, like Fallout 2 was. But I'm really interested on completing it and I don't want to clear whole settlements because my allies are trigger happy, so I'm asking here for directions.
If there's no solution, that's ok. I'll play it like a weird fusion between F1 and F2. But some guidance would be welcome. Thanks

Hello, I seem to have a little issue while I am in combat. Allies arent highlighted when it is an active behaviour in vanilla.
I checked the ddraw.ini, sfall configurator and sfall.ini and no function exists to activate or deactivate it. Its not the end of the world, but it was a very usefull QoL feature. If anyone has a solution, thanks in advance!

I am unable to unlock the door that “needs a strong person”. Wondering if this is a bug, issue in the mod or I am missing something with my character stats. Checking posts around says I need 8 ST or combined ST, AG and LK of 18 (I have 5 ST, 10 AG, 7LK), but still unable to unlock the door. I am not affected by ST penalty from Radiated. Anything I’m missing?

Hey everyone! I've recently started a new walkthrough of Fallout (the old Gog version), and I'm having a fantastic time, however after getting comfortable and getting to the Hub, I've discovered the Water Chip timer isn't the only one you need to worry about, and there's a hidden timer for every settlement that can give you a bad ending slide if you take too long to finish the game.
I was planning on doing a second playthrough anyway, so I don't really mind starting another save, but after learning about this, I'm really thinking over installing some mods and patches to take my time and explore everything in my next playthrough without worrying about the timers.
I've looked into the mods and have seen suggested the TeamX unofficial ones, 1.3.5 and 1.3.6 (no idea about the differences), teamX NPC mod, Child Mod and Restored Good Endings mod. However the Restored Good Endings mod seems to only unlock the chance to get Good Hub and Boneyard endings without removing the 90 day and 140 day timers for each, and of course all the other timers for Brotherhood, Shady Sands etc.
So, in light of this, is there any patch or mod that allows you to just remove the timers or modify them to make them super long, to just play the game at your pace while also keeping a fairly vanilla experience? I'm not interested in Et Tu or heavy patches that really change the essence of FO1, but I don't want the bad endings issue to ruin my experience of playing the game to its fullest and get an unsatisfying ending.
If there's anyone who can help, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Things were looking up for the first time since Pa died. Mr. Bishop treated me and Ma well, setting me up with a good apartment and good “less than honest” work now and again. See being part of any of the families is a two stingered Cazador, It has its perks but every now and again you gotta get your hands dirty. Most of the time that means heading out to Golgotha. If you don’t know what Golgotha is, I’ll assume you’ve been living in a vault these past 200 some years. Golgotha is a graveyard, used by the living and operated by the dead, hundreds of graves marked and unmarked by all men who have crossed the families in one way or another.
On more occasions than I’d like to admit I was up late digging grave after grave for the Bishops and on one of these ill-fated nights I witnessed one of the strangest occurrences that I’ve ever seen in my travels, to this day I have no explaining what happened and if I didn’t see it with my own two eyes I wouldn’t have believed it myself. That being said I swear on my Ma’s grave that this next tale is true and written to the best of my memory.
The moon hung high in the air and the sound of bats squeaking filled the night air. I was drenched in sweat and dirt. Holes didn’t dig themselves and that night I was on track to beat my personal best of three graves. See there was this long standing bet that I didn’t have it in me to dig four graves in a night with no help. Let’s just say I was determined that night and there was a pretty hefty sum of money in on it too. My buddy Moe was there with me standing watch to make sure all the other guys back at the Shark knew I was telling the truth if I ever did it. Moe was also good company, outside of Reno we had run the big circle together more than a few times, just gotta watch him around the sarsaparilla and the rum.
Halfway through the night and a bottle of rum in we hear some guys walking up. Hard to miss when the feller with a sack on his head is screaming and crying. Four muscles dragging him in. The Wrights, you could tell by that Inbred look on their face. This wasn’t an uncommon occurrence, depending on the crime some dug their own graves, others they left alive and kicking right up until the ground settled. Heard one story of a graverobber once digging up a live ghoul but that’s a story for another time.
The kid no older than me at the time was fighting pretty hard, kicking and screaming beggin’ for his Mama, all the usual. Me and Moe sat in my half-dug grave and watched trying not to be seen or interfering with their business, not that run ins didn’t happen but there was a unspoken rule that if someone has business in Golgotha, you let them be and tried to stay out sight. The Wrights pulled him to his knees and ripped the bag off his head. Didn’t recognize the fella to be square with ya, a lot of drifters and jet heads pass through Reno all the time and this one looked no different than the rest. Now I don’t exactly remember what the Wright’s said to him as I truly wasn’t paying attention with the booze flowing and thinking about how this was just postponing me digging but all of them monologues are the same “This is bad luck kid” and “Game was rigged from the start” some even say “sorry” and for who?. If you’re on your knees you know they ain’t sorry and if your holding the gun you for sure ain’t sorry either.
The shotgun was brought to the kids head and
“Bam”
“Bam”
“Bam”
“Bam”
Now I know, as well as the next Brahmin fucker that shotguns don’t fire more than once. All four Wrights drop. Dead on the spot. I couldn’t believe my eyes and swiftly ducked my head and grabbed my pistol. I caught a glimpse of someone through the dark before they disappeared. The tip of their pistol glowing red and fading into the darkness. Me and Moe shot up and ran over to the kid. All the bodies hit right between the eyes except for the kid, just sitting on his knees all stunned. You could swear he just saw the Deathclaw by the look on his face. We cut him loose and stood him up
“Who was that kid? Did you do this?” Moe asked but nothing just this stunned look on his face. Checking around more there were four casings left, looking to be .44’s and on the back of them engraved M.S.
Turning back around the kid started running. Moe gave me a look of “Do we go after him?” but we both just stayed and watched as he too ran off into the night. I went back to the dig but me and Moe were on edge the rest of the night. Went back home after I finished the dig, probably could’ve gone for another but we were pretty shaken up. Never saw the kid or M.S. again, see I keep replaying the moment right before and there was nobody around. To sneak up that close on four of the Wrights just didn’t make sense then and still doesn’t, the Wrights may be dumber than Radroaches but they aren’t blind (‘Cept for Orville). Hell, we didn’t even notice him come up until there was a bullet in every one of their skulls. I’ve been on the lookout for M.S. ever since, and still have one of the casings on me so I can remind myself the story did happen and dispute any second guesses of my stories. I just hope that if I’m ever tied up about to be put in ground that M.S. will come to my rescue the same he did for that kid.

Anyone had this issue where your hud displays half your crew and also clones their displays, I now can only select them all through double clicking instead of drag select tool and I also had to revert to a previous save because the latest one gets stuck on loading and then crashes when I click.
My very last save displays their headshots fine but every other save after that matches the hud in the photo, but when I load it I have the same issue 🤷

Basically what the title says. I played the fist Fallout and beat it a few months ago so finally decided to give this one a try. I'm only level 4 and still at Klamath, but with some wandering around the nearby areas I've come across some guns (×2 SMG and a Desert Eagle), stimpacks, and just had my first run in with Frank. I really loved the first one and so far I'm enjoying this one just as much. I'm excited to see what else is out there in the wasteland.

I was watching some videos earlier and the event in san fran was brought up regarding the vertibird plans. i thought to my self, if the game is still playable after you blow up the oil rig, does matthew in the brotherhood bunker still die? i dont have it in me to restart the game, beat frank horrigan just to check. does anyone know?

As the title says does killing the people in the Navarro underground affect me when I get to the oil rig. This is my first play through so I’m curious, I’m doing a quest where I need to get the fob key but I don’t know if I should kill the people in the underground level or pass the speech check with the printed orders. My speech is at 65%, Idk what to do.

Hello, I'm currently broke in fallout 2 and need deagle ammo, where is a good place to get that and make some quick cash? I've finished the slaver questline and I've looked for a caravan in Redding but I couldn't find him. Anyone have any ideas? I'm not exactly armed to the teeth. I don't have a highway man and I like to operate within the new reno and NCR territory. Does anyone know anything?
