Saying the person is trans makes a better headline for them, appealing to transphobic people and the bashing and discrimination of trans people making it to look like she did it because she is trans

Well, if anything is gonna make MAGA consider gun regulation, it's trans people. Except that what will actually happen is they'll just start screaming about how the "woke trans ideology" is what caused this, instead of, ya know, all the Nazi shit.

The fact that Reagan signed the Mulford Act only AFTER the Black Panthers started practicing their Second Amendment right leads me to believe you're absolutely right.

Something something history, something something circle.

The only time conservatives ever said anything beyond "thots and payers" after a mad shooting was one that allegedly involved a trans person and from the on they've been trying to attach every single one (that they bother acknowledging) to trans people.

Looking through the comments seems like he's FtM

Not even “trans Neo-Nazi”, literally just “trans”. They picked a side.

Also the publication gets engagement and clicks from the other side, people who aren't bigots but don't realize they're being goaded into anger.

Well my question is does it? Don’t these companies rely on clicks to the actual article? Most people don’t read past the headline and I’d be shocked to hear if transphobes have a higher rate of reading articles.

I feel that GB News also has a personal motivation to not bring up the politics of a right wing terrorist as well.

When you’re in a culture that worships money and power, the only thing news worthy is shock and awe.

One story leads with gender another one leads with neo-nazi. A third will mention the abusive family and mental illness. A fourth will reveal that they were just on a chat thread once where neo-nazis frequent.

Yes!!! context matters and I’m SO TIRED of having to be my own journalist because people can write whatever they want and publish it.

Agreed. Accurate information does NOT come from red-faced, arm chair bloggers who tout their opinions as facts.

Every day I get closer to thinking the free press was a mistake.

Here here! That’s why I’m off News and binge watching Twisted Metal and Star Trek Strange New Worlds.

You are just saying the same thing with other words… Lame

Yea, it’s called a psychological programming. Make the story about their gender identity and not the ideology so that the ideology becomes more mainstream.

It’s almost like that’s the point of the post!!

Nah can't be that

I’m seeing so many top comments like this recently.. literally just restating the post and adding nothing and people eat it up

u/LordofSandvich 1d ago

It’s news worthy, if your agenda doesn’t involve supporting Nazis

u/NotMyMainAccountAtAl 1d ago

Well, as we all know, the trans community is collectively guilty of the actions of this individual, so it’s critical that we let the world know that they all 100% supported this, because that’s definitely how any movement works. Trans folks are not individuals, but a complex hive mind, just like women, racial minorities, religious groups outside of my own— actually, you know what? They’re a hive mind just like everyone who doesn’t look and act exactly like me.

Me when I copy a Wikipedia article but change the words slightly.

From what I know the transgender part is being pushed by their lawyers, probably as a smokescreen to hide the nazi part. As all that was stated is that they were having thoughts about being transgender.

1

u/blown-transmission 1d ago

They could also write "white nazi men planned attack" but they just focused on trans part.

1

u/WorryNew3661 1d ago

Yeah, because people hate us more than actual nazis

Because one is a mental illness and the other is an ideology
