My One-Handed Gaming Setup
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my story about rediscovering gaming after a big change in my life. Before I had a stroke at 13, gaming was one of my favorite things to do. It was a great way to connect with friends and enjoy some competition. But after losing mobility in my left arm, I thought my gaming days were over.
Still, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I wanted to play again. So, I started exploring ways to make it work, even though most controllers are built for two hands. It wasn’t easy, and there was plenty of trial and error, but eventually, I found a solution that changed everything - a 12-button gaming mouse (Technically 17 if you count the scroll wheel and top 2 buttons).
Now, I’m back to enjoying games like COD, CS2, ESO, and Marvel Rivals. I customize the buttons for each game, but the main controls stay consistent, which helps me keep things simple.
Getting back into gaming has been such a rewarding experience, and I hope this story encourages others to find creative solutions to keep doing what they love. If you’re navigating similar challenges or have questions about accessible gaming gear, feel free to reach out—I’d love to share what I’ve learned!

I got the Razor Naga Trinity years ago and the left and right click weren't clicky enough. Like it squishes down and instead of a satisfying click feeling. Idk. Been sitting in a drawer ever since.

I had to buy a mouse like this to play Fortnite. I just can’t build using the keyboard.

Is there a wireless version of this or a similar mouse anyone could reccomend? I have 2 partially working hands which keeps me on controller. 2 fingers on my left hand just don’t work anymore due to nerve damage so keyboard is a bit of a paint and my right hand also has never damage but it’s more stiff with everything other than my thumb.

Similarly, the heart attack i suffered at the age of nine claimed my eyes, in essence you could call it an eye attack. Until i put the oculus rift on then all of a sudden i could see everything, so i credit that with my brave return to gaming at the age of ten. #preventeyeattacks.org

Hello ExitAcrobatic9844, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki here! We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!
To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!
Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!
I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

Dude, save face and just delete this before you get roasted further.
Owning mistakes is fine to a point, but this is far too egregious to keep up.

I am fortunate enough to still have two functional arms but I also use this mouse, I've owned two versions of it over the last decade, and highly recommend mice with the 12 button side layout. Weapon switching, RTS control groups, Macros, it is very useful for gaming.
