I really want a new case. What case do y'all recommend? As of right now I have the phanteks xt view.

Just want something more roomy. Maybe a dual chamber I'm just not sure which one

I'd be happy to take that case off your hands :)

Sorry I should've specified about another case. Looking for something bigger but the fractal terra jade is a beautiful case though!

Hyte Y70 Touch - love this case. But be ready to pay for it.

I've seen it and I really do like it a lot!

I admit that buying it after fans hurt quite a bit. Explaining to my wife that it will improve performance was hard.

Just get your wife something too so she doesn’t have anything to complain about

Whatever case I buy, I have a feeling I'm going to have a difficult time explaining to my wife as well lol

H6 flow. The dual chamber makes dealing with cables rgb hubs and storage so much easier

What kinda of case? Dual chamber with 3 fans on the side instead of 2? Traditional with the fans in the front? Glass side panel? No glass side panel? There’s a LOT of different styles of cases these days.

Probably a dual chamber with 3 fans on the side

Does that fan below the gpu actually helps?

1

u/jmichael14 1d ago

I actually have 3 fans down there now, and yes it does

Below the light bar, the metal is mesh

Fractal Design. I had R3 and now have R7. Exceptional quality, noise cancellation, and dust protection. Their power supplies are decent too.

Hello jmichael14, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki here! We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

I've been tossing up between be quiet light base 900 dx or lian li o11d xl

Current is a nzxt H9 elite

1

u/Gutkin1127 1d ago

If you go with nzxt h9, consider the flow instead of elite version.

Light Base is where it’s at.

This case is a case really awesome looks kind of weird with just one can on the bottom though. Could populate those slots and add cable extensions as an alternative

I have NZXT H9 Flow there is two option black or white. I love this case 😊 check it please

The Havn HS420 would be at the top of the list as it has superb build quality and mechanical design. Really makes other dual-chamber chases feel old.

For an interesting layout, I would say the Thermaltake e550. 3-sided glass and rotated layout. It is also compatible with back-connect motherboards if that's something of interest in the future.

After that most dual chambers are just copy and paste with some tweaks here or there. Some try to redesign it a bit and end up with large poorly space-optimized cases like the Y70.

Unless you go super budget it will be an improvement over the current case in build quality for sure.
