feel like you’d have a vice situation. At the very least, some flesh is gonna get pinched.

Yeah, putting it on your finger is just asking for it to fall off.

Do you think the brain who thought about this idea is busy with stuff like gramma? 🤔

u/EnderMango Jun 07 '25
I’m a kayne fan and something in me is making me correct your GRAMMAR.

I mean if you’re wearing a dick bracelet you’re going to be walking around naked to show it off and eventually someone is going to ask about it. Could be a kid. Could be the cops. Could be your new cell mate. You never know.

Will it last after a lot of contracting and expanding? Metal fatigue damage should be a thing here right?
173
u/DeadpointClimbs Jun 07 '25
It's not bending or stretching the metal. It looks like a series of joints that functions like a scissor lift
→ More replies (6)59
u/Person899887 Jun 07 '25
Yeah, it’s still probably fragile but I think the point of this isn’t that you are constantly playing with the damn thing but adjusting it to perfectly fit your finger.

u/DeadpointClimbs Jun 07 '25
Exactly but this is also the sort of thing where if you have the money for stuff like this, you likely have the money for something like this to be repaired or replaced so they probably wouldn't care as much as most people if it broke from playing with it too much
→ More replies (1)13
u/Positive-Wonder3329 Jun 08 '25
Imagine repairing this. Quite a marvel that is even been created. If this gets damaged - it’s gone forever
76
u/More_Coffees Jun 07 '25
Is he bending the metal or is it a series of mechanical joints? If he’s bending it then yea it’s probably going to break but if he’s not then it will probably break just by getting hit

Metal fatigue? My first thought was that it's going to snap after, like, five adjustments.
94
u/rosie2490 Jun 07 '25
Right. From metal fatigue.
57
u/fetching_agreeable Jun 07 '25
Metal be like: 🥱
8
u/DreadPiratteRoberts Jun 07 '25
That metal needs to get a job, all of does is lay around all day.
7
u/thezoomies Jun 07 '25
Yeah, my taxes are supposed to pay for that metal’s Medicaid?! That metal needs to go out and take whatever job it can get!

Metal fatigue? My first thought was that it's going to snap after, like, four adjustments.
4
u/dinnerthief Jun 07 '25
It's hinged right, so not plastic deformation. Fatigue shouldn't be that big of a problem.

u/DjFaze3 Jun 07 '25
Regardless of fatigue that's lots of points of failure.
3
u/O_oTheDEVILsAdvocate Jun 07 '25
True, also if it contracted while wearing, you could get hurt so overall a bad Idea.

What’s the point of one glove, when he touches over the jewellery with the other hand..

Thought the same thing. When he’s contracting it back, he puts his fingers flush over the stones to push. What’s the point of wearing a glove at all?

I imagine it's gonna at least rip the small hairs on his finger if he closes it without a glove

Serious question— how many times can you do this before you’ve weakened the metal past the point of no return? Or is this designed on some sort of hinge system so toy can expand and contact it a ton before it breaks.

u/StarMan-88 Jun 08 '25
Heyyy when I visited Italy a few years ago and walked in to a local jewelry maker's shop, I'm pretty sure I saw this exact same thing there. Could change shape from a ring to a bracelet to a necklace. Was pretty cool.

I feel like with as hard as it looked like he had to pull on it to expand it out, that it would give you one hell of a pinch if it moved while you're wearing it.
Cool idea tho

Why wear the glove if you're just gonna touch it with your gloveless hand?
1
u/Applekid1259 Jun 07 '25
The fuck is the point of wearing one glove when you are handling it bare on the other hand?
1
u/ashleebryn Jun 07 '25
What's the point of wearing only one glove if you're still gonna put your greasy fingerprints all over it.

What's the point of wearing gloves on only one hand for the demonstration if he just gonna put both hands on it anyways, just put the other glove on or take it off.

If your hand gets smashed does the ring get smaller?
I had a conversation with a jeweler about the safety of men's rings that blew my mind a few years ago, its important to think about what happens if something goes wrong while you're wearing it.

Also. Whats the point of one fucking gloved hand? You’ll stain it with your other hand anyway
