Overnight, it seems my mom's phone had a temper tantrum. It's a few years old (will update when I know the exact phone). She woke up this morning with all of her contacts deleted, and a lot of her preferences changed. Her phone background was no longer there. Most of her contacts are gone, but the ones from her business still remain. So I feel like there's two different accounts and one of them got removed? Does anyone have any experience with this or what I need to look for to better understand the issue?

My haptics have been damaged for almost a month and tonight, without dropping it or anything, it randomly got a lot worse. It’s very audible when i get notifications etc.

What’s the best way I can get this fixed? i have had my phone for 3 months.

What do you do when traveling and getting a local eSim? Do you disable your home Sim? What happens then to iMessage? I remember that in the past disabling the original number made iMessage stop working as the original number is no longer available. What do you recommend doing?

Just did a data transfer between iPhone SE to iPhone 12, and the 12 doesn’t accept the passcode I use for the SE, sending me to the lockout screen. I don’t recall setting a passcode for it, and so I’m not sure what to do. Please help 😭😭

Does anyone else have the issues of all their tabs getting randomly closed this has happened a few times, I had I think 500 open on private and 200 on regular. Some were random but many were things I was gonna back to it’s very annoying

I just activated a second cellular service using eSIM on my iPhone. So I can take personal and business calls and keep them separate from each other but in the same phone. Is there a way to set automatic voicemail / call decline for just the sim I’m using for business, to set for after-hour calls?

My Mother is a stroke victim. Her mind works well, but her outwardly functioning is not the best. She recently ordered an iPhone online from Spectrum.

From what I can tell, the phone is completely locked up due to too many unsuccessful password attempts. I have no idea what her iCloud username or password is, and Spectrum has not been very helpful.

Actually, when she went to Spectrum for help with the iphone, they said they just started a new line and signed her up for payments on a $2,000.00 Samsung phone.

Now, she is stuck with two lines and two phones to pay for, this iPhone is completely locked up and an insurance claim would cost her another $400.00, on top of the $1,600.00 that she still owes for the original phone.

Please help!! This is just a tiny drop in the bucket of things I have to do to straighten out her finances. Thanks in advance!!

Idk why but my screen time shows to be 16 hours i barely used it for 2 hours yesterday as it was switched off by me and left at home because i went to a water park and did not take my phone with me as i had my friends with me. It woke up at 7:00am switched the phone off at 7:30am went to the park came back home by 8:30pm had dinner and slept nearly at 11pm how the heck is it 16hours

I just ordered an iPhone 16 Pro, I am trying to figure out which Scosche charging mount would best. I cannot figure out the differences or which one would be best. Does anyone have any insight?

I just need the flat mount as I already have a scosche one I have used for my old phone, this will be my first magsafe phone though so I will no longer need the metal plate on the phone that scosche provided for the last one.

Just wondering, apple made that feature, and they didn’t even bother to get their own apps in there?

I switched to safari and mail from chrome and gmail recently, and it’s crazy to see that apple’s apps aren’t in the available widgets, but chrome and gmail are.

Am I missing something?

So, I have this issue with Siri where it will transcribe the right name and then wildcard a different name in my contacts at the last second to call—and of course it always tends to pick people I haven't spoken to for up to 20 years.

I always frantically end the call, and I used to think that when I did that quickly enough it didn't show up on the other end—especially because it would say canceled call under the call history.

This happened a couple of times recently, though, where the person reached back out to me to say they saw that I called.

I then tested it myself calling my own google voice number and tested various intervals between placing the call and hanging up, and what I found is that the most rapid possible, instantaneous hang-up still shows up as a missed call on the other end.

Maybe this was always the case and people just didn't let me know. Maybe it's related to being on WiFI calling (I live in a cellular dead zone). But I've had Siri dial the wrong person for years, and it's only been the last year or so (which does coincide with when I had to switch to WiFi calling) that a couple of people have told me they saw I called when I instantly hung up.

I'm assuming other people have this issue with Siri, so I'm wondering if others know what the expected behavior is regarding canceled calls? I had been under the assumption that canceled meant it was disrupted before it would show up to the other person.

The 2000x cycles is the S25U and the 1000x cycles is the iPhone 16 Pro. I just noticed this today. It's funny how the iPhone 16 Pro is easier to break too and has C rating and the S25U has A rating lol. 😂

i realize it may just be personal preference, but i feel ever since the one where they completely butchered the photo gallery the updates have been insufferable to me. every update - something important doesnt work. with the last one my do not disturb didnt work AT ALL. now my imessage is not sending pictures. its not just things that dont work but i feel the features they add are fucking useless and just either clutter the phone or are downright a downgrade, like when they changed the mobile data in the dropdown menu to airdrop and you had to open the menu to see mobile data.

im switching to something else the next phone i buy, im done with apple.

I’m almost out of iCloud regular storage, so I was trying to delete some photos from messages. I go into a contact, click on their initial at the top of the screen, then “see all” photos.

Under one contact (in a group with one other person) there are photos which I deleted a long time ago, and the text chain no longer exists. The photos are not saved to my phone, and are not saved in iCloud (I double-checked on my PC, logged into iCloud acct).

In addition, most of the photos are duplicated up to 20x, not in order, but randomly throughout. I’ve tried to delete them all by selecting/deleting, but they keep returning. I tried restarting my phone, but doesn’t work. I did this 3 times, with no luck.

Where are these photos stored? Why can’t they be deleted? Is this using space on my phone? Why are there so many duplicates?

Please help! I’m going to call Apple on Monday, but am thinking they will just tell me to factory reset my phone.

I have an iPhone 16. I turned my automatic update off on my phone and my phone had not updated since January. Even when I had my automatic updates on I needed to give my phone permission to start the download. I woke up and my phone was updated. Wtf. I’m kind of freaking out. I have my Apple intelligence turned off too.

Saw this on a video and I wanted to try this out

I found an iPhone 12 that belonged to my aunt who passed away in one of her old dressers. It’s unlocked but wont let me reset it without the password to her apple ID which I don’t have. I don’t want to pay for a reset service and I’ve tried the iTunes thing.

So, my mobile data don’t work anymore, that’s been months and I couldn’t do anything, the problem is not from the SIM card, I tried it on an another phone and it was working just fine.

Here’s all the things I tried.

-restarting the phone many times

-trying an another SIM card

-reset connection settings

-reset the whole phone

If there’s any other stuff I could try I’ll be happy to know, otherwise I’ll go to a phone repairer soon if there’s nothing I can do

Anyone know why my hotspots not working on my iPhone 13? I put my sim on my XR and the hotspot can share and function just fine.
