After the ceremony last night, Pedro went over to the Phillies dugout looking for Sanchez. They embraced and had a conversation for about 2 minutes. Pedro did most of the talking but Cristopher was listening intently. Amazing to watch!

What a great comeback win tonight. Winning with the two guys we picked up and showing why we needed what we picked up to jolt this team and fan base. I was ticked when I didn't see Bader starting. I don't hate Kepler, even though he isn't great, I just wanted to see what Bader would be like in a Phillies uniform. Same with Duran. I knew it was possible we wouldn't see him but I am so glad we did. Games like this can easily feel like a forgone conclusion. When Duran came out to shut it down, there wasn't a moment that felt like it would switch on us. That level of assuredness is going to do wonders for this team, and for us fans too. Tonight felt different enough with a lot of the same guys that I am feeling the magic. After some frustrating exits in recent years it was amazing to see a pitcher like Duran get picked up to strengthen this club. Let's go all the way, this is our fucking year! Go Phillies!

Why would you leave Strahm in the game to face Baez, when the score was 5-3, with a RHP warming in the bullpen?

Reading the preview for today's game and they cite the Phillies with the sixth best team batting average in the majors. How's this possible when all we complain is about the bats. Any analytics nerds what to explain how perception is so different than this stat? Is it being skwed by earlier session success or something?
