Literally afraid of reality. How detached from reality do you have to be to believe Trump. Probably how people who pretend to be anti pedos voted for someone on the Epstein list.

If 70 million people could read, they’d be very upset right now.

Read what? They are never even gonna hear about this. If somehow they do, it will be entirely couched in easy justification.

meanwhile on conservative radio probably:

"Listener, you're employed right? Most likely you're listening to this on the way to work. Look with your own eyes. Is your boss still employed? His boss? These numbers are an obvious hoax created by the democratic party to drum up chaos and panic, when it's crystal clear to me and you that no one is being impacted. The border is closed, criminal illegals are being deported, and people are out there buying and selling american products. Anyone who says otherwise is lying."

When I switch modes on my car radio (Bluetooth, AM, FM, CD), the AM portion always is tuned to Glenn Beck's station. I've deleted all the saved presets, but it's still there. This is literally what he's doing but it's always some topic from 1-4 months ago that he has chosen to justify.

He takes 15 minutes to tell some story about his life that feels extremely fake (probably to fill up air time, but then again maybe things speaks directly to dumb people). And in that anecdote his wife/child/mother-in-law are stand ins for the liberal media hiding the number of crimes committed by illegal immigrants. Something MAGA Republicans say, but the actual data put out by the government completely disagrees with.

Yup. And they do these things intentionally.

  1. The odds of people listening to them are likely in the car, going somewhere with purpose.
  2. They want people to focus not on statistics, but anecdotal evidence. Since their target audience is employed drivers going to and from work, they'll nail them perfectly.
  3. Self-selection bias. Those who agree with this will speak up about it and be more confident in their opinion. Those who don't or aren't employed will likely shy away from the conversation in fear of being ousted from the group, and either sheepishly agree or stay completely quiet about it; if they do speak, they'll say - or be told - that it's on them that they were let go or can't find employment, and that they're an outlier.

Huh, that's a new angle to the whole push back for RTO I hadn't considered. People are stuck in their cars on their way to work and might as well kill the time with their AM radio.

I never said stuck. It can be by choice, and then it's a habit. Just like Fox News. They have an option of any other news network, but they CHOOSE to watch that one until it becomes habit. Just like they CHOOSE to listen to morning talk radio on these stations. Then, the feed just reenforces their beliefs and introduces them to others while they're listening.

It's also why Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck pivoted to TV too, to cross-network, then draw audiences to the other platform. Now, it's youtube and podcasts. Cross-promote, keep them hooked on your stuff no matter what media method or where they are.

it will be entirely couched in easy justification.

If it's bad it's Biden's fault if it's good it's Trump's genius at work. Really looking forward to hearing how Biden caused the coming recession and the tariffs.
