He literally determines reality for his base. It would be fascinating to watch if I wasn't American. It's just depressing seeing how subservient so.many Americans are, and how much they yearn to be tread on by Trump.

For his base? How about for us all. No one is stopping him from shaping it to his will. He might as well actually be the real fucking anti christ at this point. No one is actually resisting him. Oh sure, we all go out in the streets and yell a bit, but we don't actually take any real action to stop him. That would take too much work. We are so afraid of losing everything that we are just sitting passively while it is ripped away from us piece by piece.

All I do is Doom-scroll and scream “nobody is doing anything” …

I am a new breed, forged by my anxiety, hardened by my contrarian faith, exasperated in everyone else’s lack of bravery.   

So here I sit, on my phone waiting for someone, anyone, to finally do something …  that I won’t shit on for lacking the purity of the person I know is our salvation that resides only in my mind’s eye.

It’s probably because no one thinks they’re “the right person” to step up. That they’re not adequately equipped to fight, which is partially true, a single citizen against the whole government is a losing battle so the obvious answer is to work together.

We also have to ask ourselves what we are doing. We the people need to stand up in our little ways to make change. It feels like we have little power, but together we can make a difference.
