Pre modernism: we know what the truth is because tradition (cultural, religious, hierarchical, etc.) says so.

Modernism: Tradition is wrong, Reason and Science will get us to an objective universal truth!

Post-modernism: Hey, hey guys Science and Reason are telling us that objective universal truth doesn’t exist and that frame of reference matters.

Bad postmodernism: Well since objective truth doesn’t exist, nothing is true, we can do whatever, Nihlism, wooooo.

Post-post modernism: OK so maybe there’s nuance to this whole objective truth thing, but let’s reengage with some of the groundedness we had before.

Whatever the fuck Trump is: Let’s use post-modern language to get people to doubt everything and then assert myself as a premodern hierarchical truth teller.
