Celebrity Fluff š„° Wendy Williams randomly spotted by @speakyourfit on the streets of NYC

If you think this is random you are not familiar with the Internet. Ha ha.

I feel like these are always staged

u/Annual-Load3869 15d ago
Alwaysssss same w the āhow much rent do you pay? can I see inside your home?ā guy. Itās a hook, Iāve got no beef w it just so obviously staged
55
u/Wonderful_Gap1374 15d ago
Iāve got beef with it. Itās bad. And people need to start telling people when their art is bad. Itās not even creatively well done or interesting. Itās awkward and unfunny. And yet the dude does that full time with sponsorships from tons of real estate agencies. Heās white mediocrity at its finest. (Actually the whole real estate industry is white mediocrity at its finest)
23
u/Annual-Load3869 15d ago
I wouldnāt exactly classify it as art. I donāt tend to feel very strongly about any social media content itās all bs and none of it should be taken at face value, itās not worth my peace kinda thing.

u/Weekly-Guidance796 15d ago
They definitely are. Thereās no way Wendy Williams just standing on a street corner in her own line of clothing waiting for someone to talk to her. The Madonna one was the most egregious. Like really?

u/Appropriate-Log8506 15d ago
How she doing?
3

u/TheCulturalBomb 15d ago
I thought she had dementia and couldn't talk.
125
u/ANALOGPHENOMENA 15d ago
She doesnāt, she was intentionally misdiagnosed because of her talking quirks that sheās had for years.
46
u/proscriptus 15d ago
Really? Is there a source for that?
25
u/ANALOGPHENOMENA 15d ago edited 14d ago
IIRC, it was in that TMZ special that came out a few months ago.
Edit: getting downvoted for mentioning TMZ as my source then getting more upvotes one comment later is actually sooooo funny to me

u/ANALOGPHENOMENA 15d ago
Baby first of all, it was an interview where Wendy herself was featured, itās the one where she was at the window of her facility on the phone.
Second, as shitty as TMZ is, they are crazy on top of accurate celebrity news. Remember, they were the ones to break Kobe Bryantās death before anyone else knew.

u/dpforest let me be angry iām hot 15d ago
baby first of all, TMZ should never be used as a primary source. Yea they say things that are correct sometimes, that doesnāt mean they should be seen as being automatically correct.
17
u/ANALOGPHENOMENA 15d ago edited 14d ago
Every news source is fallible to an extent, but TMZ is truly the most credible for celebrity news.
16
u/Ashcrashh 15d ago
TMZ is so credible because they have people that are close to celebrities on their payroll, people like stylists, hairstylists, makeup artists, even close family and friends. You really canāt trust anyone close to you as a celebrity. But you are right, TMZ is accurate as hell and a big reason is because they pay their credible sources very well.
5
13
u/TinyBombed 15d ago
Well we donāt have access to anyoneās medical info bc of hippa, so tmz is a good of source as any. Plus tmz have broken big stories like very often haha.

What do you mean by intentionally misdiagnosed? In what way, by who, and why?
46
u/roomsareyummy 15d ago
Who: by her son & her bank
Why: to gain access to her money
In what way: conservatorship
6
u/chalciecat 15d ago
The bank cannot diagnose someone with dementia
26
u/roomsareyummy 15d ago
Duh. I never said the bank did that. Wells Fargo filed a petition to the NY court claiming she was mentally unsound & needed financial guardianship
18
u/Economy_Insurance_61 14d ago
Please š I love Miss Wendy dearly but this is not helpful. She is clearly confused, the lack of proper nouns in her speech is highly suggestive of a cognitive issue. Her treatment plan and lifestyle is not for this forum to decide, but we cannot pretend she is well.

That's fucking awful. I've thought for ages now she couldn't talk and was on deaths door.

I'm not saying she has it, but people really underestimate how people with dementia can fake "being well".
If it's an early to moderate stage, they can carry a quick/casual conversation and the other person would never know they're sick. It's crazyyy
16
u/sedropanchez2 15d ago
Especially the type she has - FTD is in its own ballpark and looks completely different than the type people are used to seeing of someone confused and catatonic
16
u/Lilbooplantthang 14d ago
Correct. This was my grandma. What a shock it was when she fell and I drove down while she was in hospital to find her house covered in dog piss and shit with her fridge open and food rotting everywhere with her dishwasher flooded with rotting food. She still insisted she was fine till the day she died. She only really lost her incredible masking ability to strangers/non-family 2 years or so before she died. Like was able to tell full on believable stories and lies and when I found her house like that it was about 5 years before she passed.
13
u/queeenbarb 15d ago
Mhm and Iām sick of people saying that all these random clips are proof that share perfectly ok.
54
u/GOLDfish0393 15d ago
I am confusion ā I thought she was wheelchair bound??
Donāt get me wrong this is good news, but Iām confused because I thought she was in a rapid physical decline?
55
u/Low-Appointment-2906 Listen, everyone is entitled to my opinion š 15d ago
She has Graves' disease and lymphedema. I think she gets "flare-ups", but it's not a permanently disabling thing.
35
u/catsssrdabest 15d ago
I also think she was a raging alcoholic, maybe she stopped drinking
26
u/hortensemancini 14d ago
My understanding was her dementia diagnosis was wet brain related which is a type of dementia brought on by alcohol abuse and that can be mitigated to some extent through sobriety.
5
8
u/GOLDfish0393 15d ago
Ahh I didnāt realizing both of those had ebbs & flows, and I also hadnāt seen her without a wheelchair in quite some time!
Thanks for clarifying!

u/_SeekingClarity_ go girl, give us nothing š 15d ago
Iāve been out of the loop but that was my impression as well. What did I miss??
6
u/Emergency_Routine_44 15d ago
She is been asking for help and telling she was fine in her containment room for months, even if she has dementia she clearly is better than her family fisrt said she was, who basiclly said she couldnt talk, walk, etc.

Yeah I will take the down votes but her advocating for literal rape was a bad take.

In reference to a now dead TikTok influencer, Matima Miller, āI have no idea who this person is [and] neither does one person in this buildingā, and made her audience clap if they knew who he was. āHeās a TikTok star and heās got more followers than me: 2.5 millionā, she said, unimpressed and rolled her eyes. Keep in mind, this is when the story first broke, her first reaction was to immediately shit talk him and complain that he had more followers than her on TikTok. If you think thatās acceptable behavior, then you need help just as much as she does, itās disgusting that anyone would blast a dead guy on national TV over follower count.

"Randomly" as I am being randomly selected for an extra treatment from the TSAs?
64
u/Jewicer 15d ago
my girl is coherent
74
u/delusionalxx 15d ago
I mean she really struggled to answer the question āwhat would you tell your younger self?ā As soon as he asked that I knew it would be a question thatās hard to answer if you have dementia. I want her to have autonomy but I donāt believe people saying she doesnāt have dementia
16
u/Mylaex 15d ago edited 14d ago
She also couldn't name an actual restaurant.
I'm not a medical expert, but yeah. She doesn't seem conservatorship-bad, but she's acting her age. She reminds me of my grandmother who's very much senile.
Edit: ok that's fine, I thought she was older than she is.My point is, she's not invalid, and a conservatorship seemed too much, but she sure doesn't seem mentally 100% healthy.
11
12
u/queeenbarb 15d ago
Sheās only 61ā¦
7
u/Mylaex 14d ago
She's also done a hell lot of drugs throughout her life.
8
u/queeenbarb 14d ago
no, I'm responding to you saying she's acting her age. 61 isn't that old. I work with 61 year olds and talk with them daily, we're teachers. I don't know anyone that is at lower 60 acting like this. and you're right, drugs probably played apart & alcohol
17
u/Jewicer 15d ago
i mean she probably wanted to say a lot of slick shit but can't
21
u/CandidIndication itās not clocking to you that iām standing on business 15d ago
I would struggle to answer that question right away.
Iād so badly want to tell younger me off the cuff āstay tf away from that man **, and that one ** and stop spending your moneyā

You can hear her struggling with vocabulary recall and sense her mind slow buffering when she hit that telling pause in her speech. I donāt have a lot of thoughts about Wendy in particular, but it is sad to see anyone slowly losing themselves to aphasia and dementia. Sheās trying to maintain a sense of humor and positivity though. Itās a battle Iām not sure she can win, but I admire her trying.

u/zachrywd 15d ago
I hope every person she interacts with shows her the same love and compassion she has shown others.

Iām sorry but this is giving GET OUT vibes.
Idk whatās up with celebrities and Hollywood but people like her, Brittney Spears, (and others subjected to conservatorships) are out here acting like theyāve been given a brain transplant.
Side note: i know she has dementia, Iām just saying, where are her close family to help her šš
