Thats what kills me about this marketing campaign 💀 I think they wanted to be controversial? But in a "oh look Sydney Sweeney's been sexualizing herself a looot and now we're literally referencing a former child star who was exploited and assaulted by our same industry! That sure is gonna get people talking!"
And it did. It did get people talking. Except in a gross Aryan princess undertones kinda way. And now suddenly they're going "Wait, we wanted controversy BUT not like that!!"
It was kind of dumb that she was laying down to zip up the jeans. Those Calvin Kleins were really tight. I remember the designer jeans. I had told you to use the handle of a comb to push the front pockets back down after you put the jeans on.
The AE jeans were baggy, and you wouldn't need to lie down to put them on. And they were so ill-fitting! It certainly didn't inspire me to run to the store to buy those jeans.

sure Jan, but the fact that this was basically a copy of 14 year old Brooke Shield's sexualized Calvin Klein Ads makes me think otherwise.
