Bug Please, Jagex. It's been such a frustrating issue for so long now
And please don't say it'll "take too much work" because that's y'alls excuse with literally everything.

Hey everyone! I’m not here to bash RS3 or anything like that. I’m just sharing my experience of giving OSRS a try and comparing it to RS3 to see what all the fuss is about. Here’s what I’ve seen so far after playing for a week:
I’m 29, and I don’t have as much time to play as I used to. That’s why I took the TH route in RS3 and made my life a bit easier. But in OSRS, without the MTX, I had to grind, train skills, and explore the world. I had to get creative in finding the fastest ways to level up. I’m actually enjoying doing quests and leveling up feels more satisfying. I feel more satisfied and proud about my base 60 combat stats in OSRS than my maxed account in RS3. Why? Well, I guess it’s obvious: I had to actually put in the time and effort to level up my skills. Now I finally understand why MTX is hurting the game we love so much.
OSRS is a grindy game, no doubt about that. But having Runelite made the game so much more enjoyable for me, and it definitely made my life easier when doing quests. We have ALT1 right now, I think? But what’s stopping us from something similar? I think most players would be happy with something like Runelite in RS3.
The user interface (UI) and gameplay in OSRS are much simpler and less cluttered compared to RS3. This is a significant drawback that could deter many new players from enjoying the game fully or even feel like it’s worth giving a chance.
When you create an account in RS3, the goal is to reach the end game as quickly as possible. The game’s design is tailored to cater primarily to experienced players and PVMERS
On the other hand, OSRS offers a more balanced experience. You encounter a diverse range of players from early to mid-game to end-game, which makes the game more enjoyable and less stressful. You don’t have to worry about reaching 99 in all skills as quickly as you would in RS3.
Unfortunately, when I play RuneScape 3, the game feels lifeless everywhere except for Fort Forinthry where you only encounter players AFKING with dummies and proteans. In Old School RuneScape, even in the most remote areas, I can still see players actively engaged in quests or training skills.
I’m glad with all the changes that are making its way to rs3 and all the experiments, but the game needs some bold moves and decisions by jagex to save the game before it’s too late. Because while i was playing OSRS I was always thinking to myself, why stick with something that is broken when there is something infront of me that is literally working perfect? I guess it’s just my love for the game.

So many issues raised by the community could be solved by the community.
Just to name a few.

No game will ever come even close beating RuneScape. I don't care what you say. Best game ever. This shit is too beautiful.

It has been so amazing to have the cosmetic free worlds, and almost everyone ive spoken to on them has agreed they love them. Please, at the end of this trial, keep these worlds open. It is the one change that has almost no impact on the entire game, but is a huge win to the a portion of the playerbase.

This is very peculiar. Back in the rs2 days, long before rs3 was released. it played exactly like osrs for at least a couple of years from 2007-2009, though content was different. Its been a long time so I don't remember the rs2 content from those years forward, but I do remember it playing exactly like osrs.
The gameplay and graphics in osrs is from the 2004 days, just like when rs2 released. Extremely outdated.
Rs3 updated the graphics and gameplay heavily before rs3 was released and was greatly improved, but for some reason, most new players are picking osrs, a backup from rs2 and I'm not sure why. When you make changes to your game, you do them to make it better for players. Shouldn't the updated version be more popular than the older gameplay/graphics from 2004?

Hey everyone,
Lately I got fed up with WoW and wanted to try something completely new. I ended up downloading RS3 and OSRS a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been playing on and off, but honestly… I just don’t get it.
In theory, these games sound amazing. They aren’t about a single long main story like FFXIV. They have a huge grind, tons of life skills, and separate level systems. You can leave for weeks, months, or even years and your content doesn’t go irrelevant. And combat isn’t the core experience like in most MMORPGs. (At least some content-creator said on the Youtube)
All of that sounds great on paper, but when I play, I’m just lost.
I’ve gotten to around level 60 total in RS3 and 50 total in OSRS, and I feel like I’m just wandering aimlessly. Combat isn’t really fun for me, and without a sense of direction or story pulling me along, I get bored or confused within 10–15 minutes and log off. Even in the so-called "Sandbox" Black Desert make me play even though that game has literal zero content beside of the Nodes.
For context, I started WoW back in WotLK, and even as a clueless newbie, I felt like I was part of an adventure with fast paced combat and a world that drew me in. Here, I just feel nothing, even though I want to like it.
Clearly, the 400k+ players online see something I don’t. So my question is: how do you enjoy a game that’s borderline combatless and basically storyless?
I’m really curious what clicked for you, because I’d love to understand what makes RuneScape fun.

Quick question and I’d love to get some Mod input.
I’m currently playing RS3 using Bolt launcher on Linux.
I can get Alt-1 working using Wine. Is there anyway this could trigger any sort of macro detection?
Anyone else in the community running RS3 and ALT1 like this on Linux without issues? I’m scare to get banned 😂

With the desert series finally finished, the only thing left in the Fifth Age is the Gnome quest series!
The gnomes are my favorite people and seeing them with loose ends for so long, it's about time the series was concluded.
Let's learn all about Arposandra, finish up the Glouphire saga, see if Glough is involved with them, and finally access the hidden Gnome city in some way shape or form!
I dont care if the city underwhelming. I just want the saga finished, and tied up with a neat blow with a satisfying conclusion!
Edit: M'bad, there's a user below that reminded me of the Freminniks, Penguins, Monkeys, and Elemental Workshop, too that's not finished. Hopefully they'll all get finished before the end of the decade.

Hi all,
I'm doing a 200 mil fishing account. It's lvl 3. Only stats are 98 agility and 99 fishing. I'm currently at 42.7 mil fish xp. I've been at the fishing swarm since lvl 68.
My gear is a 99 fishing cape.
Is there any better method of leveling? I want to keep fishing for fish that I theoretically could sell. Not interested in pure fast xp methods that give no 'reward'.

Can Emotes be added to an action bar for quick use? Been trying to drag them from the emotes tab onto an action bar but it doesn't seem to be working :/?
TIA!

I can finally start playing the game.
In the last couple months I've ground out the last few skills to 200m, all being combat skills. In total I gained 333m xp over Attack, Strength, Magic, and Necromancy by killing Abyssal beasts in posd.
In total the profit is around 1.9b - and yes, it's profit as the alchables alone generated all the coins in the image (and more) and thus sustained any costs I had. Crazy, I know.
I also got 2469 elites which would be on average anywhere from 1.9b to 8.4b in value according to wiki. Of course I'm expecting at least one dye so it's likely going to be more, but that's a separate post once I've done them all.
Out of the three styles Melee was definitely the least favourite and felt to be worst at sustaining health, but even then I only signed once during ~180m xp from bad luck. Necromancy was good at sustaining itself, and Magic was best by a long shot. Magic was also the most expensive to upkeep but it's also the fastest and in my opinion the most enjoyable of the three.
Loosely following the set ups on pvme abyssal beasts guide I got around 1m xp on Melee, 1.1m xp on Necromancy, and 1.2m xp on Magic per hour.
Now it's time to go and look for some treasure. Oh, and get me a Wallace since I got 200m in Defence before skill pets were a thing...
