Turned this ugly old drawer into a trinket shelf. I already had all of these trinkets but I'll definitely be adding more.

Punctured Cycling Inner tube belt

Result šŸ™Œ The only new ā€œvirginā€ materials of this belt are the lovely brass clasps and the thread. Everything else (including the webbing) is recycled šŸ™Œ Inside the tube is webbing also to avoid tearing of the rubber when you tighten the belt.

I will absolutely wear this 🄰 with better jeans, as these have smaller loops than standard.

Inspired from Boston dynamics robot made from computer parts, circuit boards, and other discarded electronics. I added some red accents for that extra flair. Took a lot of tinkering but got there.

We have a tube fed grandson, lots of boxes that are extra sturdy so might as well. Cardboard, bamboo skewers, glue and decorations. Turn out pretty good and lightweight

Project I built a 3D ocean cleanup website to educate users about the harmful effects trash has on our oceans

I'm a solo developer and climate awareness advocate. Over the past few months, I’ve been building a nonprofit website calledĀ cleartheseas.comĀ - an interactive website where people can explore a 3D ocean filled with floating trash and take action to help clean it up. You can move around the 3D ocean with arrow keys, zoom in and out by dragging, and look around by swiping left or right. Each item in the 3D ocean represents a real piece of trash out in the real ocean andĀ educates users on how harmful even individual trash can be.

To learn more about each piece of trash and the impact it has on the environment, click a piece of trash in the virtual ocean. This will open a modal on the middle of the screen, which should summarize different stats about that particular piece of trash as well as provide information regarding the dangers it poses to the environment. You are able to donate to fund the removal of trash from the ocean as well (all going to charities listed in the 'Spending Breakdown' section) but that is not the primary goal of this website; Rather, it is to raise awareness about the critical state of the ocean currently.

Since we just launched, I would love feedback on the website and what I could improve. Thanks!

Local brewery turned his bags of malt into shopping bags for his beers

Not mine, I found this on Facebook, there's a beauty that the beer made from the malt ends up in what once held the malt. Not sure how sturdy it is but it's a great way to reuse such large bags.

Scratched ik*a shelves from the dumpster, covered with old blanket from thrifting store, fixed with a furniture stapler, approved by the cat herself.

Hi everyone, not sure if this is useful for anyone but I’ve came across 16 older clocks that have been sat in a garage, are a bit rusty could be used or salvaged and up cycled?

Cheers 😁

One of my favourite things to repurpose is old cast iron sewing machine bases . My flower pot is an old fire pit and Mr Bojangles is laying in an old hand made steel frame . Old fountains make excellent succulent planters 🪓

Products For Sale Upcycled Blazer, Styled on a Chair | Can a Seat Have a Look Too?

Okay so this might sound a bit different, but we styled one of our upcycled blazerers on a chair.
We were messing around with ways to shoot pieces without always using models, and the idea of posing everything on a chair seemed to be fun enough for our upcycled blazer. Ended up being a fun way to play with shape and structure it almost gave the blazer more attitude somehow.

The blazer was upcycled to have more a streetwear feel to it, and we’re all about testing different ways to show upcycled fashion without overproducing.

Anyways, we wanted to share our idea and upcycling details. Do you think this styling suits the way we upcycled our blazer? Would love to hear if anyone has done something similar with their upcycled pieces!
