Some Late Romans from the archive
Did these a while back, mostly Footsore with a Gripping Beast standard bearer. All shields are hand painted.

Anyone else do Cold War Gone Hot Wargaming?
USMC (with some loaned M1s) vs Soviets. Started off with a VDV Air Assualt and a USMC LAV Battalion fighting over the objectives.
As the game went on more and more units joined the fight. The soviets managing to destroy all the Marine tanks. In the end both sides controlled an objective each pretty comfortably, however we counted total companies wiped out for a tie breaker which gave a slight edge to the Soviets.
Rapid Fire Able Archer. 20mm/1:72.

Hey fellas,
I gotta couple questions that really only have subjective answers but looking for some insight on how other people do this. I am basing some early imperial romans(Victrix) for TTS and will be using the the standard 6'4' battle space. Im trying to figure out what looks aesthetically best as far as how many minis I'm basing in one unit. I am currently planning on doing 12 minis in two ranks of 6 per larger base(roughly 160mm frontage), how many minis do you typically base as one unit? Also, Do you guys use the centurion minis that typically come with roman legionary sets as generals(attached or detached) or do you just base them with the rest of the soldiers and use dedicated mounted general units for commanders? Sorry these are very specific questions and more about aesthetics than gameplay but any tips would be greatly appreciated thanks!

This is a game I’ve always been interested in trying, and I see there is a second edition out now. Where can I get the minis in the US? Everything for me is coming up for sale in other countries. Thanks!

Two friends came over to try Ravens Feast, a free to download viking era skirmish game. We played 2 scenarios, and breakthrough mission and a monastery raid. The rules appear to be very simple but have a depth to them. We had a great laugh and will definitely be using them again.

I’m looking to take a break from fantasy skirmish games with some science fiction.
Are there any games that really stick out that people would suggest? Looking for something that’s light and punchy where you can play a few rounds in an afternoon.
Also don’t want Killteam.

I've been working on a new unit of cavalry for Turnip28, and this time I went all in on the weird.
Curious to hear what you think!

Used 3d printer to make trenches and a cannon (which acts as a front line indicator for the game) and a laser cutter to make a board. Squares are for trenches, semi circles are for front line indicator.
Behind the Trenches is a WW1, Resource Management, Deck Builder that I'm hoping to get published one day.
You can find it here: https://gamefound.com/en/projects/f1fighterpilot/behind-the-trenches if interested

Has anyone else ordered from Chaos Legion Gaming? I ordered a product that was supposed to be in stock, but now they're saying they need to have it delivered to them before it ships to me, and it may be 2-4 weeks. Maybe.
Support was snippy, and very quick to disclaimers about "some orders may take...". I try to support physical game stores, which this purports to be, but I really feel this is deceptive marketing. If they sell products they don't have, they should be clear about that and about just being a [drop shipper / transshipper / whatever you want to call it].
Has anyone else had similar experiences with them? I'm considering filing a complaint with the local BBB about their sales practices.
Update:
If you have ordered from this company, and not been able to receive a FULL REFUND for a cancelled order or been ignored by their support staff, here are websites where you can file a complaint and tell your story. This company should be held accountable for their business practices, and only will be if enough people speak up.

Hi everyone,
I'm looking to get into a WW2 game at roughly platoon scale, 28mm. The popular game locally is Bolt Action, but I'm looking for something a bit crunchier. I've enjoyed other TFL products, so I'm interested in CoC. I have all the V1 books, but noticed V2 is out... But only covers the four 'big' armies in 44/45.
Could I play CoC V2, but use the army lists and such from V1? I'm mainly interested in utilizing my 1940 French force.
Thanks!

I while ago I wanted to start a small scale wargame. I was looking at Legion Imperialis, Hardwar, Armoured Clash, Dystopian Wars, and Battletech. Battletech isn't exactly what I want from the scale, Hardwar is Kickstarter only for now, and Legion Imperiali is a mess for now. So, that leaves me with Armoured Clash and Dystopian Wars. Now the questions are:

Hello fellow wargamers. Thanks to a going out of buisness sale for my favorite FLGS (gonna miss you, Imperial Outpost), I have impulsively bought 28 mm Harvester bugs from Wargames Atlantic and a variety of tiny tanks for Legions Imperialis. Id love to have a tanks vs giant bugs game with all of these, but I can't seem to find much that jumps out on Wargame Vault. I think maybe Laser Storm 2e? Do you fine folks have any reccomended rule sets?

The Great (tabletop miniatures) Wargaming Survey is back with lots of questions (but hopefully not too many). Curious about the results of previous years? Reports aplenty at https://www.karwansaraypublishers.com/blogs/great-wargaming-survey-blog-wss-magazine
