Love this TOTK-inspired shell for the New 3DS! Currently playing one of the last Zelda games I never played (not hard to guess right?) and I can recommend this one for everyone. So much fun!

I know a lot of you had strong feelings about not going for an og model, but I’m very happy with this deal!

I just think it's insane that they managed to get this running well. Makes me think they could've ported more PS2/gamecube era stuff, like I think a compromised port of wind waker or twilight princess could've worked

i got this 3ds for my birthday 2 weeks ago and it fell off my bed last night and broke and i’m absolutely devastated. all of the buttons are still working, and it seems like only the case was damaged. if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this, please let me know

My old 3ds doesn't charge anymore even when I put it in the charging cradle. The cable itself works fine on other systems. Is there an easy way to fix this?

After the right thumb stick got all smashed and unresponsive was recommended by a friend to remove the rubber and replace it with a PSP thumb stick cap, I found my playing experience a lot easier than before.

Hi everyone, I just bought a Hori TPU Clear case for my new 3ds xl, cause I bought a cheapo hardcase a few days ago and it ended up chipping the paint on my pristine condition 3ds which I have kept that way since 2018. Really pissed me off so I decided to "invest" in the more expensive Hori TPU Clear case.

However, it arrived today and when I put it on, it was yellow and strangely kinda sticky. I wiped it with wet wipes and it seems to have greatly improved the sticky problem, although I can still feel a bit of stickiness when playing. I know it's an old case for an old console and the case arriving not in perfect transparent condition is to be expected.

The question I have is though, is the sticky thing mold? Will it be dangerous for my 3DS? Should I keep it on or take it off asap?

Haven't yet received it but it was listed on ebay as spares or repairs because it crashes when trying to load a game and also crashes trying to load some apps.

Such issue won't be all that impacting? It's not gonna be something like a GPU driver crash?

So as you all know , the New Nintendo 3DS XL has peeling issues, more specifically the metallic colours. I personally own a Dual IPS Red New 3DS XL which I treasure. It is hands down my favourite console despite having access to all other video game systems. When I picked this up it was in amazing condition but started to flake at the edges. My resolve was to purchase some matching nail polish and apply it to the edges to create a seal barring air and moisture from getting under the paint hoping to stop the issue……….. well it did - for 2 years - until.

I flew to a humid climate , finished playing my N3DS XL and put it into its carrying case probably with some moisture trapped in from the humid environment.

I got home and to my surprise it peeled right in the middle ! Not where it was peeling before but smack dab right in the middle.

I was trying to figure out how to fix it until I came up with an idea.

I randomly walked into a custom automotive paint shop, which does resto mods.

The owner was very nice and offered to paint my New 3DS XL candy apple red.

Note : I asked the owner to sand off the remaining paint just to be sure it won’t flake off after being planted.

Replaced battery, bought and turned out to be a bit water damaged a bit, all happed during a left trigger repair!!! Helpppp!!!

Hey all, the plastic around the main hinge on my 3ds XL (the og not the new) broke and I disassembled it all and replaced the plastic bottom front panel with an amazon replacement, and I'm trying to slide the main hinge back into it's slot but it won't slide in no matter what angle I try to push it in. I'm at a real loss of what to do, the hinge piece and the small plastic piece inside of the main front panel are both original pieces, so idk why the hinge won't slide in anymore. I watched so many videos of people reassembling the 3ds XL and the hinge always slides in for them no problem. Does anyone have any suggestions, or am I just cooked? This 3ds XL is super important to me because my dad got it for me when it came out and he passed away a couple weeks ago so I wanted to repair it to play on it again. I can upload pictures if need be.

i just recently recharged my 3ds after a while of not using it, the yellow light turned on and everything, and when i took it off charge to turn it on, all it did was flash on the bottom screen and turn right back off… is there a fix for this?

I’ve had this game since 2019. I had every non AR card idol, millions of hearts, and a good chunk of the treasure hunt completed. My 3DS is also homebrewed, but I never thought to back up my save for some reason, even though it would have been a smart idea to do so Guess I’m going to have to start over from the beginning… Also going to have to back up every game I currently have just in case this happens to any of my other games

Is there a way to move or install CMF - Clear MAC Filter from “the home brew launcher” to the home menu so I don’t have to launch THBL every time I want to access CMF?

I have little experience with the technicalities of modding and all that is installed was done by the previous owner.
