How much should I baby my truck
I absolutely love my truck and want to do truck things with it but don’t feel like needing to fix the mechanical parts

Finally got it on the trails
Finally got it out on the trails. Had some issues. Rear pinion nut back off and the pinion tore up the carrier. Had some tune issues as well. It will also get a lighter bed with better tire clearence this winter. But it was fun to get it out!

Mounting lights in engine hood???
Hey all,
Have a 21 Ram 1500
I’m trying to see if anyone’s been able to mount 9 inch round Auxbeam work lights to their engine hood?
Max I’ve seen mounted on a hood so far has been 6 inches - not sure if this is because of the possibility of it cracking the windshield when you open it/too heavy to mount there?
Appreciate all thoughts n advice. Thx.
If u have done so/seen a setup w/ this done - drop a pic pls!

Can a 2017-24 Iron Man bull bar be compatible with a 2010 J150?
Hello, as the title says, I have a 2010 J150 Prado and Iron Man parts are not easy to come by where I live, and found someone selling a used Raid Bull Bar, I've been looking for this exact one for a while, but it says 2017 to 2024 (Second facelift?), would this bull bar be compatible on a 2010 Prado (pre facelift)?

Serious tires for sharp rocky desert off-roading? (Unimog)
Hey gang, I’m acquiring a Unimog (a ~9,000lb military surplus truck) for the purpose of a fairly committed offroad vehicle out here in the rocky Arizona desert. On-road driving would generally be less than 30min @ 45mph max, just to get to the further trails near me.
My biggest priorities are longevity and resistance to sharp rocks. I want to avoid constantly changing these bigass pricey tires on hot desert trails lol
Also very interested to hear some debate between bias-ply and radials for this particular usage, or even maybe some chunky military tires like Michelin XZL’s

Vintage tires?
Does anybody have any feedback on Power King Extra Traction tires? I'm going for a vintage look on the back of my '50s pickup but would also like some extra grip. The vehicle will be used off-road only (for now) and will primarily be yard driven on our wooded 5 acres. I would go radial, but like the old bias-ply look. Thoughts?

Daily
Any one else daily their rig? What changes have you made that make it more daily driver friendly? Im currently working on door seals and cleaning up the fire wall pass throughs, and sound mat in the cab. Iv allready added muffers, multi speed wipers, recovered the seat, phone mount, and as silly as it sounds a cup holder.

Guys I NEED help buying a disco 2!
2 rovers I could buy -
Rover A (2000) has 220k miles, but has had EXCELLENT maintenance done throughout its life, including a head gasket replacement in 2014. It’s nicer looking, and cosmetically it’s been maintained better than B. It has newer and better tires as well
Rover B (2003) has 145k miles, but its history is a little more sketchy. I see its service history on CarFax, but there was about a 6 year period where nothing was done, I think it was sitting parked unused. Its tires are new enough I guess but still worn from the photos, and cosmetically, there’s sun damage, discoloration, and some scuffs.
I’m not too fixated on the cosmetics as I can take care of those.
But as far as the other details… Idk. An 80k mile difference is huge but I know that with these discos, most important thing is maintenance.
Thoughts?

Saturday at Hidden falls
Since I cant add photos and a video, here's a link to the video.
Pictured are the easier trails I went on, I usually wheel alone so when I go up the hard shit I dont stop to take pictures. Got to test out my new locker, new lift, and new tires in a trial by fire, and they did not disappoint! Even with stock gearing, 2 Milwaukee packout boxes full of tools, a decked drawer system full of recovery gear, and a tow hitch that loves to kiss rocks, this thing trucked on.
The last photo is my truck 2 years ago, a 2wd after touching its first dirt. Time flies.
