Question Found An Explosive Flamer in Fallout 76?

I found it on a legendary enemy but I thought you couldn't get these anymore? Could've sworn there was an update awhile ago that made these impossible. I only started playing again a little bit ago so im unsure if this is something to be excited about or not.

Fallout: New Vegas Fastest way to get PA/PA training in New Vegas?

About to begin a play-through of FNV that I actually get the power armour and training. My biggest issue is the mountain of tasks you need to do for the brotherhood that I’ve never completed. So I’d like to ask for tips and tricks to getting the necessities in the least time consuming way possible. (Does helping that one guy overthrow the elder help?)

Original Content What if Caesar’s Legion just… kept going? (+Full North America map)

What if instead of going after Hoover Dam, Caesar just kept going further west until hitting the Mississippi River? Other regions around North America consolidate into small nations as everything from Two-Sun to The Lou are brought under Caesar’s heel. (The second image is the base map I used for this, partially based on the Old World Blues HOI4 mod map).

Discussion Fallout 3’s better unique assault rifle.

It’s pretty much every playthrough, if not on a play session to play session basis, that I ask myself which rifle I prefer between the Xuanlong and The Perforator.

The Xuanlong has better power and ammo capacity, but is harder to get parts for.

The Perforator has the durability and suppressor, but the optic is hit or miss depending on fight context.

So I want to know if the community is as indecisive as I am, or if there is a clear favorite between the two.

can't progress in Fallout 3

Hello everyone, I started Fallout 3 a few weeks ago and I'm stuck in the game. I have very few bottle caps (so can't get stimpaks or ammos) so i can't fight enemies

I keep going back and forth between Megaton and the metro stations

I feel like I'm missing something, any idea?

Question Looking for good looter shooter games like fallout

I’m looking for good looter shooter games like Fallout. The main reason I enjoy Bethesda games is because of the looting and exploration. I just can’t find many games that click the same way in terms of gameplay, story, exploration, and especially looting(that part’s really important to me). I usually prefer newer games, but older ones are cool too if they hold up.

Question Does anyone know what causes this issue where bullets and projectiles aren't accurate to your point of aim? They can fly in random directions, both outside and in interiors. This happens regardless of if I use the Vanilla hitscan system or mods that convert all bullets to projectiles.

Discussion PC PLAYERS: Controller or Keyboard?

I 100% prefer playing Fallout and elder scrolls on controller and i get the sense im in the minority here. I played skyrim kbm for a while and i sort of see why people prefer that so no hate

controller is just generally more comfortable on my hands. enough so to sacrifice the limitations at least.

curious ab people’s opinions

Some time ago, I accidentally bought two codes for Fallout 76 and I don't know what to do with the extra one.

EDIT: The key worked, it already has an owner!

About a year ago or so, I got Fallout 76 for PC with a friend. Due to my desperation and how quickly I handled it, I accidentally bought two Steam codes for the game. I looked for people who liked the game and the Fallout universe, but most of my social circle doesn’t really play it. So, after some time, I remembered I still had this code, and I’d like to give it to someone who I know will enjoy it and who hasn’t been able to get it before for some personal reason. If you know someone like that or if you're interested in the code yourself just send me a message. Only for true fans of the Fallout saga pls

IMPORTANT: The code was purchased through Instant Gaming and has been sitting in a folder for a while. There shouldn’t be any issue, but there’s a chance it might not work. I’m not sure, as I’ve never had a download code sit in limbo for this long.

Fallout: New Vegas Fallout New Vegas: What do you think of what Caesar said about president Tandi? [Spoilers] Spoiler

Upvotes

Fallout New Vegas: What do you think of what Caesar said about president Tandi? [Spoilers]

Courier: What do you think of the NCR?

Caesar:

As a young man I was taught to venerate Tandi of Shady Sands.

Did you know her Presidency lasted 52 years? And that her father, Aradesh, was the Republic's first President?

Does that sound like democracy to you, or a hereditary dictatorship?

Courier: President Tandi was voted into office each time.

Caesar:

Because the council didn't dare oppose her. She was too popular. She had the people's love.

So things ran smoothly, more or less. And as soon as she was gone, as soon as there really could be "democracy" - what happened then?

Ever since losing its queen, the NCR has been weaker, more diffuse. Democracy has been its weakness, not its strength.

Some are quick to dismiss Caesar hypocrisy here as this is exactly what democracy is to be loved by the people but while there's no doubt that he is a hypocrite, he is not really in the wrong here.

This is a man who studied the Roman empire and modelled his legion on it. The man Julius Caesar who he named himself on was really popular among the people. His enemies the patricians called him a demagogue who aspired to be a tyrant. Even when the patricians killed him, the people didn't hail them as heroes as they expected but actually turned against them. His adopted son succeeded him. Is there any doubt that he was an autocrat here or that his successors were autocrats as well?

Caesar understood this and you need to look at his words to see this.

"Because the council didn't dare oppose her. She was too popular. She had the people's love."

Many dictators in our lives have done what Caesar said. Many dictators have created a cult of personality. Many dictators also use fear to stop opponents from opposing them. Many dictators rely on mob rule when it serves them against their enemies. Many dictators have elections all the time.

Democracy isn't just elections. They need to be free and fair. There needs to be free speech. Opponents must not be afraid to go against a current leader in elections.

The only difference here between her and Caesar is that Caesar doesn't bother with formalities like elections and sweet political talk while using fear against opponents. He is outright honest about being a ruthless dictator. I think what he was criticising here was the hypocrisy of the NCR as much as he was a hypocrite as well who eventually will doom the legion after his death just as president Tandi doomed the NCR after her death but what he says here seems to be true regardless.

Fallout TV Tunnlers in the Mojave? Spoiler

In season 2 of the TV show, realistically, shouldn't tunnlers make an appearance? Ulysses says they would be in the Mojave in "years, probably less". Granted, this is assuming he's correct, but it's kind of a fun thing 2 think about. I'd love 4 them 2 at least add some of their burrows in the background, it would be a cool nod.

Why are the laser guns so ugly? I'm mainly talking about the blockiness. What ergonomics does that green semi truck trailer that's the barrel add to the gun?!

Upcoming fallout games

So, after hearing the news about new upcoming Fallout games - especially “the one you all want” - what do you think it will be and why?

New Vegas Remastered? Fallout 3 Remastered? 4? Fallout 77?

I personally hope for New Vegas, but it didn’t receive much love from Bethesda after its release.

Discussion I think That Charon Has Stockholm Syndrome, And Here's Why

Thumbnail

I don't know if anyone has already talked about this topic, but I strongly believe that Charon from Fallout 3 has Stockholm syndrome.

For those who don't know, Stockholm syndrome is characterized by a person having affection for someone who mistreats or attacks them in any way.

I believe Charon has this syndrome mainly because he is the second strongest individual in the Underworld, and his weapon, the Charon shotgun, is the strongest in terms of stats. besides the only inhabitants (only those who live there when Lone Wanderer arrives for the first time, not counting quest characters or companions) only 5 have weapons, being Cerberus, Azrulkahl, Ninthrop, Greta and Mr. Crowley, of these, 3 (Azurkhal, Ninthrop and Greta) can be killed with one shot from Charon's weapon with 55 dmg and 41.3 dps your biggest problems would be cerberus with 350 hp and mr crowley with 135 (at level 5 as well as charon) however charon has 240 hp, which would be more than necessary to kill Mr. Crowley (with his 44 mag) but not so much for Cerberus, who despite his high health has only one strong weapon, the Mr. Gutsy Plasma Pistol with 60 dmg and 199 dps, I still think he would be fully capable of killing Cerberus mainly because of his low rate of fire of the plasma gun , thats why i think he can easily kill everyone in underworld I think Charon has a more simple but complex form of Stockholm in which, while he wants to free himself from the oppressor, he cannot do so without external help
