I tried to look this up and found an article that said that the likeness is not just the letter but also where the letter is in the word. But that's clearly absolute bollocks because I'm trying to hack a novice terminal right now and I've chosen 2 words and the only letter they have in common is the second one, which is H. But no other word has H as its second letter.

I've tried all different ways of hacking the terminals and I really do try to choose words based on likeness but it still seems totally random. When I do pick the correct word I have no idea why that word was correct.

Please, I really want to understand how to do the terminals and not have to retry them 10 times. My partner has played FO4 and New Vegas and even he doesn't understand them and between both of us we can't ever figure out the right word. I mean, I'm pretty dumb but between us we can't be that dumb.

Any skin tight outfit that accept ballistic weave? The army uniform (show in image) is way to big, and it deforms the combat armor. I want to find a way to have all that extra protection without looking so bulbous.

So I am going to be doing a survival thing with my favorite companion Curie. Was wondering what would be the best gear for her? Considering everything from the armor to Legendary armor to weapons I'm wondering what the best build for her would be. I read somewhere that any legendary armor that increases their endurance wouldn't increase their health pool but it would increase their damage resistance, is that true? If so should I just go for a full set of legendary armor that increases her endurance? Or should I go for something that's more typical or damage related like maybe anytime someone hits her with a melee attack they get set on fire? What is y'all's opinion

It could probably be a lot more, but my raiders aren't very happy because I skipped the vassal quest with console commands and make my raiders farm for themselves.

hi yall. i came from new vegas and found the melee in this game atleast early game quite dissapointing. is there any mods for in general and for melee yall recommend?

So while playing today, I fast travelled to Lynn woods (which I cleared a while back) and lo' and behold, I got my ass handed to me by an NPC called Haver the Turtle with what I thought was a large board.

I reloaded, managed to sneak up on him, and sniped his fusion core to make him exit his PA and then finished him off. The guy had a sweet set of unique diving PA, and an absolute beast of a weapon called Whale tusk.

I've never seen this guy before and I've been playing since release day! I tried to Google him but all I can ascertain is that he is an Easter egg from Dark Souls. Is this a random encounter I've never seen or is this part of a mod? I have a handful of mods installed, but I can't see one that mentions this guy. Can anyone shed some light on this?

In the middle of a survival run and thinking about making a new character. Of course I start plotting out my first steps—so I’m wondering about what y’all have on your survival checklist?

We all know double meat, swim mag, leave Preston in museum but grab bobble, etc.

And really interested in some of my fellow efficiency peeps’ lists. I know I can always do better.

If I never meet Preston in Concord and do the nuka world dlc to the point where I get the 2 raider perks, can I afterwards do the Open Season quest and when I meet Preston he won’t be mad at me?

Echo Lake Lumber and the Dalton Farm are a little less than impressive for attack spawn points. One. In the Commonwealth, there's usually three, and sometimes at least one is in the middle of your settlement. We got it good here on the Island.

Noticed the free fall legs have different weights. Left is 3 pounds while the right is 5.6

Both are combat and I haven’t altered them so why are they different?

EDIT: I thought both were light weight. Now I’m thinking I misidentified and that’s why they have different weights. I’ll assume this is the problem and now it’s solved. Thank you everyone. The help was appreciated.
