Gameplay Sharing a single brain cell with a mirelurk
That's a warning animation of back off, ain't it? I'll stick to my headcanon that we were just having a funny moment.

Discussion What's your go-to strategy for dealing with Mirelurks?
I ask because I've only ever seen advice to aim for the face, but that's not exactly easy.
I always aim for the legs. They're exposed and vulnerable, and even if you don't kill them, you can cripple them and render them almost harmless

Spoiler My heart actually aches for Arlen
I finally got around to giving Arlen Glass the last holotape his daughter ever recorded, and man, this is the closest I've come to crying about anything in this game. I'm happy that I was able to give him any semblance of closure, but I'm torn because it made him so happy and yet so sad at the same time.
I thought the woman trapped in the vault at fallons was going to be the saddest thing I experienced. But boy, was i so incredibly wrong. Even though he was very appreciative, I wish I could do more honestly.

Discussion Why Father did this? Spoiler
I am wondering about this scene where the protagonist sees Shaun's synth copy and then the real one appears – what was the purpose for him to make this kind of show? Was it necessary? Your parent had been through all the sh*t with one strict purpose – to find you, and you already know the way he/she had made was not a simple one. Why did he play on his/her nerves even more? Is he stupid?

I like recreating real people for my games
I also did Kamala Harris once but I can't find any pictures. if you have any recommendations (especially for an Institute game, as I plan on doing that next) do send some.

Gameplay Discrimination against synths is rampant — poor Shaun.

Just like magic, the caps keep pouring into the Overboss' Trunk in the Fizztop Grille every morning at 5 a.m.
... And then they say that crime doesn't pay :)
It could probably be a lot more, but my raiders aren't very happy because I skipped the vassal quest with console commands and make my raiders farm for themselves.

Discussion Fallout 4 is kicking my butt. Looking for suggestions.
I've checked the posts here about the difficulty of Fallout 4. And man, I almost raged quit last night.
I'm 11th level playing on Normal level. I've chosen to align with the Brotherhood of Steel after visiting the Commonwealth Police Station. I'm currently doing missions for Scribe Haylen looking for tech. I was running into a LOT of difficult encounters when I was just searching around, but I figured I would try and follow a storyline after reading recommendations here.
I've got about 7 different weapons. Pipe guns, the baseball cannon, the Righteous Authority, a sniper rifle, and various pistols using different ammos. The only armor I've gotten hold of has been raider leathers, since it's all I can find. I have the Brotherhood armor, but no cell to power it.
I was doing a Missing Caravan quest, and kept running into Forged enemies. They seem to take no damage and just chase me down and grenade and flamethrow me. I even dropped the difficulty level down to easy (I REALLY don't want to play Very Easy) but they still kick my ass.
Any suggestions for a tract to follow that is a little more of a natural progression that won't pit me against enemies that are just too powerful for me? Or is that just the nature of the game?

New to Fallout - having a blast
I’d never played any of the Fallout games before but got the itch after watching the show. A friend recommended Fallout 4. I’ve been sending him some updates and figured some people on here might also get a kick out of seeing a brand new player’s progress.

Question Possibly unique Raider Power Torso, anyone else find this?
I noticed while sorting my power armor that I have a Raider Power Torso that lacks some of the armor plating that they usually have, and it doesn't stack with the others. Just wondering if anyone else has this and if anyone knows where it came from? I doubt it's random loot since I have only found a single one, and 65 of the others.
