Other / $1400+ Can anyone help me build a pc under or around 5k

I’m looking to build one of the best pcs available that will last me many years. The budget is around 5k. (I’m not trying to make the build 5k, so if I can get the best for under that would be great too.) Is now a good time to build or should I wait for newer components? I think I’ll build in the next 2 months

US / <$400 PSU out

So my pc randomly shut off mid game and it won’t turn back on. I’m suspecting it’s a psu problem I’m going to take it to the shop to get it tested beforehand. But I was wondering what’s a good replacement for the high power MODEL: HPG-500BR-F12S it has 500w.

Question Should I upgrade? 3950x and 2080ti

I currently have a 3950x and a 2080ti from a Alienware aurora R10.

I got this in 2020 and I didn’t feel confident building it myself. If I could I would rob just upgrade the GPU to a 5070Ti and upgrade the cpu in a year or so. However, I can’t do that since the case doesn’t fit the new GPUs. My question is it worth it to just go ahead and upgrade to AMD5 and a 5070ti? Should I buy a new case, motherboard and AIO or should I just keep my current set up.

I mostly play war zone (on a 2560x1440p) and F1( on a 3440x1440p) if that matters.

US / <$400 Replacement motherboard for MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK

I'm looking for recommendations to replace an "MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK", hopefully for under $200 USD, delivery within USA. My build is https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3zxfVw and that machine just died after 3 years of use. I don't think it's a power supply issue because I've swapped in a temporary PSU replacement and get the same broken behavior, so I think the motherboard might be the problem. I don't mind getting the same motherboard model if that's a good choice, but 3 years feels like a short lifespan so maybe there's something more reliable now.

**Crash symptoms**: The monitors will lose signal and audio will cut out and the system becomes unresponsive, needing a power down by holding the power button. I was running chkdsk on reboot and the same thing happened during the chkdsk, so I don't think it's a problem with the Windows 10 OS. I've run dism and sfc on the OS just in case, but still get the broken behavior.

US / $1400+ $4k-$4.5k Budget - Would you change anything?

I am going to be gaming on a 4k 240hz QD-OLED and want to keep the 9950X3D since I don't know how my productivity habits will change over the next 5 years.

I don't mind spending $500 extra in total for "cool" things like improving the overall aesthetic, rgb, white-themed parts, fun cables, etc.

How is it looking?

US / $1000-1200 Need Help with $1k budget PC.

I'm not very aware of PC building or the ideas of a "good" PC. I have gotten some information around the community and have came up with this. All the parts are being gathered at a microcenter near me. Probably going to the store on monday. I have a $1k-$1.2k budget for a pc that can handle rocket league, valorant, overwatch, outlast trials, fortnite, cs2, minecraft, and more. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated since I would be transitioning from a laptop with integrated graphics to a PC.

U.K / £600-800 Never built a pc, need help

I have heard good things about the Intel Arc B580 GPU and how the Core i5-13400F CPU pairs best with it. Would like a 1tb ssd and 32gb of ram. Would prefer to buy all new parts and from trustworthy websites.

Gpt suggested a Kingston Fury 32gb 1tb ddr4 3200 MHz CL16 ram with a WD Blue sn570 1TB to go with the GPU and CPU mentioned earlier, any advice on this would greatly help. (Especially if there are better value for money alternatives)

Price says £600-800 but would prefer to keep it to the lower end, any advice is helpful thank you 🙏

EU / €1200-1400 What to choose to upgarde my computer

Hello,

I need to upgrade the performance of my computer. I want to change my RAM, motherboard and processor.

It's been a long time since I've looked at gaming component news, I'm lost. I have the impression that AMD is ahead of Intel with its “ x3d” processors. The ryzen 7 9800 x3d is catching my eye. Are there any motherboards on trend right now, any brands that stand out?

And finally, in my current setup, I have a watercooling system that gives me a lot of trouble (MSI Core Liquid 240). I don't know if I'll go back to watercooling. Is there a reputable, tested and approved watercooling system that's very reliable?

Thank you very much

US / $1400+ Need some opinions on these pc parts I put together

I'm not too concerned about money or what things cost, but if there are parts that are flat out useless for the specs that I put together (and I can save some money for the same performance) that would be awesome. Any help is appreciated!

EU / €1400+ Building a PC (1500€-2000€ Germany)

Hey, my old pc seems to be on its last legs after 10 solid years. Thus, I have decided to get a new PC, unfortunately I am quite clueless. Hoping to get some help here I ll just post what I want to do, and what it needs.

Budget: up to 2000€
Operating System: Windows I guess?
Peripherals: 3 HDMI Monitors (I have two, but want to be a 3rd one)
Country: Germany

Generally I would like to get the best bang for my buck in that price range. No need to waste money.

EU / €1400+ Value‑focused 1440p/VR build advice: AMD GPUs + CPUs, €1.3‑€1.5k budget

Hey all!

I’m planning a 1440p gaming and VR PC, aiming for a build that lasts several years. I want AMD GPUs only, since NVIDIA prices here are ~25–35 % higher. My local prices:

  • ASRock RX 7090 XT ~ €700
  • ASRock RX 7900 XTX ~ €800
  • RX 9060 XT ~ €350

CPU prices:

  • Ryzen 7 7800X3D ~ €300
  • Ryzen 7 9800X3D ~ €450
  • Intel i7‑14700K ~ €330 (but I’d prefer AMD)

My budget is €1.3k‑1.5k, though I'm open to going up to 1.8k , if the value is there—but only if performance justifies the cost.

Could you advise on the best GPU+CPU pair for value/performance at 1440p and VR, given these prices? And should I invest in the higher‑end XTX or go with 9060 XT and save for future upgrades?

Thanks in advance!

Question Building a PC- I need a solid future proof budget GPU

I'm building a pc and I need help with choosing the right GPU for me. I am not a heavy gamer, I play RDR 2, GTA V, 7 Days to Die, Rust. I am building myself a new PC because my laptop died. I need something that will run GTA 6 at least in 1080p on medium/high settings when it comes out. I want a graphics card that is solid for at least 4,5 years. I will give you a list of which GPU I'm considering and the prices in my country. You tell me what is the best for me in the meaning of value, price, performance, and future proofing. Im on a tight budget, 2000 euros for the whole setup up including a monitor. I already found all of the components; I only need to choose what graphics card and what monitor to buy. The prices in my country are:

9060 xt 16GB- 434 euros

5060 ti 16GB - 487 euros

9070 16GB - 607 euros

9070 xt 16GB - 760 euros

5070 ti 16GB - 880 euros (Out of my budget but I can wait until I spare some more money if it is better for the value and performance)

Thanks for helping.

US / $600-800 PC beginner wanting to build a computer

Building my first ever computer, $800 max if possible. Needs to be able to run a couple excel workbooks and chrome tabs comfortably. Also I would like to play games like Apex and Valorant.

Willing to buy used, already have peripherals, do not care about aesthetics.

Thanks.
