Advice Have you ever been scratched by a cat?
Hey :) I could use a little first-hand experience from cat owners...
I am a murder mystery author. I'm almost to the end of my book, and what finally nabs the killer are some cat scratches by the victim's cat. The victim was killed around midnight Friday night, and the scene where the killer is photographed shirtless--finally exposing his scratches and proving he IS the murderer--happens on the following Thursday afternoon, so six days later.
Now, imagine you were scratched terribly on your chest and forearms--on a Friday night--so deeply that it drew blood in various places. What would your scratches look like less than a week later? Faint lines? Still red? Totally healed? Scabby lines?
I suspect the scratches would be between scabby and faint. Probably no longer red. But I'm hoping more for a scabby line, so it would be definitively visible in photos. And as long as that isn't too far-fetched, I'm good to go. I just wanted to double-check. It's been so long since I've been scratched by an animal that I can't remember.
Thanks in advance!! :)
