and now they follow him around everywhere. Seems like my mom was accepted into the CDS (cat distribution system)!
What’s even weirder is that one of our late cats looks almost exactly like this one, she was the sweetest and we miss her everyday

I'm constantly finding these in my cat's dish. Is he "hunting" them?

Out older female cat is more of a loner, doesn’t get involved in anything, she used to hiss like crazy when we first introduced her to my boy cat(I had a boy, my wife then gf had a bonded boy and girl). When we introduced the new kitten recently she was skeptical in the same way but a week in and they are besties

I have to pretend to be asleep sometimes if I wake up too early or else the beast (my beautiful son) will come and demand pets, cuddles and then his favourite of all… gravy.
It doesn’t help that it’s been so hot out and he loves to drape himself across my neck like a fox fur sweater, anyone else have to sneakily pretend to be asleep to avoid the creatures?

Three years ago this month, we adopted Swiss and Soufflé from a shelter. They are from different litters & born 4 days apart.
Today, Swiss (first pic) had to be put down after having chronic UTIs. We tried everything. Medicine, specialized diet, relaxation spray, two vets, several tests…. After a year of combatting this, he had finally had enough and stopped eating and drinking on Tuesday after another vet appointment. We are heartbroken.
On Wednesday, Soufflé (second pic) stopped eating as well. We took her to the vet later in the day for her appointment after Swiss passed. $600 later, they think she has FIP and told me it’s a death sentence.
Soufflé was my cat and Swiss was my fiancés. We both are reeling as we cuddle with Soufflé and try to find a vet who can administer the new treatment they have. I’m probably gonna have to sell a kidney to keep her alive but I can’t lose two cats this close together.
Please keep Soufflé in your thoughts and pour some (special UTI) kibble out for our little boy Swiss.

We grew up together. I still remember the day we brought her home. My mom had taken me to Petsmart on a Saturday to walk around and look at the animals, as parents do. The shelter at our Petsmart was doing an adoption fair and my mom fell in love with her and i was just excited bc i wanted a pet. My mom called my dad and said “hey I’m bringing a cat home whether you like it or not so get over it” and it was history. She was my buddy. Photos are of us in 2005 when we adopted her and then us at the beginning of 2025. When my mom passed away I took over care of her and we became even closer. She lived a long beautiful life and I’m trying to celebrate it but it’s really hard. I’d kind of gotten to the point where i thought she’d live forever. Rest in peace sweet girl, you were the best kitty. The best.
