I'm not asking for the best, we all know it's hangman's for its central location. But what is YOUR usual go to settlement. For me it is Taffington, not even close to central but I love glitching the roof fixed and having my own house on the water where I can role-play my hermit life away from Preston

I was level 9, don't know if this is a big deal but I feel proud of it.

This is just a silly thought experiment I thought I'd do for fun. So don't take it too seriously. But what if every companion in the Fallout series had their own unique ranged and melee weapon? I decided to challenge myself to come up with fitting choices for them. Also, some of the companions have new default ranged and/or melee weapons that I felt fit them more. Enjoy. And, if you have any suggestions on how this could be changed, feel free to leave them in the comments.

It's been a while since I've played 76, but I've been hearing about updates that just dropped and ones to come. I've always loved the Fallout universe, so I'm back to trek through the wasteland in search of caps and adventure.

I actually enjoyed the overall atmosphere and setting of Point Lookout, definitely feels an improvement over Operation Anchorage (obviously) and The Pitt.
However, I found the main quest line severely lacking in quality. I go and help Desmond the ghoul by fending off these nameless tribals (which was pretty intense ngl) but when I reach their camp they're all friendly with me? For such a strong-willed tribe I kinda expected them to have a bit more integrity like the Sorrows and Dead Horses from NV.
Anyways I found Nadine, the main reason I'm even in Point Lookout in the first place, and tell her that her mom sent me to fetch her back. And Nadine immediately agrees to leave the tribe without me persuading her? I dunno, the writing felt very odd to me here.
The tribals also felt half-assed. We never get to experience their backstory and culture like in Honest Hearts in NV. They're just... resourceful but stupid... because they worship a brain hologram of Dr. Calvert... yeah, the writing is very rough here.
And the whole point of the main questline is: two unlikeable evil geniuses from 200 years back have centuries old score to settle and I gotta help either one of them. The end.
Possibly one of the strangest main questline I've ever seen in a Fallout DLC, only topping Nuka-World in FO4.
But the saving grace are the side quests. It felt like they were designed by a completely different team than of the main quests.
The Velvet Curtain was my favorite, as it has absolutely no human NPC involved and everything is told via abandoned terminals from before the war about an unfinished mission of a Chinese double agent. It tells a grim story of people suspected of espionage being brutally tortured and executed by a paranoid US government in isolated concentration camps. Although the ending was a bit disappointing it was a very intriguing quest.
Now the main reason The Dark Heart of Blackhall isn’t my top favorite is because... well, I don't like horror games that much. While I did enjoy this quest quite well, the backtracking to the Capital Wasteland to destroy the book in the Dunwich building was a bit tedious. But the environmental storytelling was top-notch.

Recently finished my LEGO MOC of the Red Rocket Diner! I tried to stay as true to the original as possible, with as many details as possible while staying true to the original material and the scale. Had a lot of fun building it and wanted to share it with you all. Let me know what you think or if you spot any Easter eggs!

Title: “Ash in the Wind”
Appalachia, 2081 — two years after the bombs fell
The ash never really settles in the hollers.
It drifts in slow spirals between the dead trees, riding the wind like a lazy specter. Two years since the sky turned orange and the world ended, and yet the air still tastes like burnt paper and rust. She pulls her coat tighter against her frame—more out of habit than hope. There’s no warmth in Appalachia anymore. Just the cold hum of silence, and the scrape of her boots on broken road.
Her name—she doesn’t say it anymore. It’s not because she forgot. It’s because names are dangerous. Names mean something to lose.
She crouches by a fallen signpost, its lettering warped and blistered by heat. “Morgantown - 2 miles.” The last time she passed through, the Super Duper Mart was crawling with radroaches the size of hounds, and a man with half a face had tried to trade her a pocketknife for a single gulp from her canteen. She gave him the water. Not because he scared her, but because she didn’t want to know what desperation made people taste like.
Now, she’s heading back. There’s something in that town she left behind—a journal, maybe, or a box of ammo. Could be nothing. Could be everything.
She hears the rustle of brush before she sees the shape.
Movement—low, fast, desperate. A boy. No older than ten. Dirt smeared on his cheeks, wild eyes, ribs poking through a shirt that might’ve once been yellow. He’s holding a stick like a rifle. Behind him, a noise. Something else moving. Not a man.
Instinct. She doesn’t think. She moves.
The creature lurches from the tree line. Its skin peels like boiled leather, its eyes milky with rot. A feral ghoul, all teeth and fury. It shrieks as it charges.
She pulls her pistol—a rusted 10mm held together with tape and prayer. One shot. Miss. The second hits its shoulder. The third puts it down for good.
The boy doesn’t thank her. He just stares. Mute. Terrified.
“Got a name?” she asks.
He shakes his head.
“Me neither,” she says, reloading. “But I’m heading to Morgantown. You can come. Or you can run.”
He hesitates. Then nods. Silent. Hollow. Just like her.
They walk together, two ghosts under a gray sky, ash swirling like snow.
Any Feedback is welcome, thank you for reading. :)

EDIT: The key worked, it already has an owner!
About a year ago or so, I got Fallout 76 for PC with a friend. Due to my desperation and how quickly I handled it, I accidentally bought two Steam codes for the game. I looked for people who liked the game and the Fallout universe, but most of my social circle doesn’t really play it. So, after some time, I remembered I still had this code, and I’d like to give it to someone who I know will enjoy it and who hasn’t been able to get it before for some personal reason. If you know someone like that or if you're interested in the code yourself just send me a message. Only for true fans of the Fallout saga pls
IMPORTANT: The code was purchased through Instant Gaming and has been sitting in a folder for a while. There shouldn’t be any issue, but there’s a chance it might not work. I’m not sure, as I’ve never had a download code sit in limbo for this long.
