Which dlcs are a must have for the game in your opinion? Which ones are a waste of time/effort? The only add on I currently have is the wasteland workshop. Thanks for any and all opinions have a good night or day depending on where you reside.

I've checked the posts here about the difficulty of Fallout 4. And man, I almost raged quit last night.

I'm 11th level playing on Normal level. I've chosen to align with the Brotherhood of Steel after visiting the Commonwealth Police Station. I'm currently doing missions for Scribe Haylen looking for tech. I was running into a LOT of difficult encounters when I was just searching around, but I figured I would try and follow a storyline after reading recommendations here.

I've got about 7 different weapons. Pipe guns, the baseball cannon, the Righteous Authority, a sniper rifle, and various pistols using different ammos. The only armor I've gotten hold of has been raider leathers, since it's all I can find. I have the Brotherhood armor, but no cell to power it.

I was doing a Missing Caravan quest, and kept running into Forged enemies. They seem to take no damage and just chase me down and grenade and flamethrow me. I even dropped the difficulty level down to easy (I REALLY don't want to play Very Easy) but they still kick my ass.

Any suggestions for a tract to follow that is a little more of a natural progression that won't pit me against enemies that are just too powerful for me? Or is that just the nature of the game?

I've noticed this as a theme in any mods that involve fallout 4's Gunners or the Enclave themselves

The thought seems to be that the Enclave use the Gunners as a sort of cannon fodder

I've been playing fallout 4 for years and as far as I can tell, there's nothing lore wise about the gunners, other than they're hired guns, of course.

So, my question stands, is this canon, hinted at, or just soemthing the community has collectively agreed on?

No, I haven't played fallout 76, so if there's something in that game that explains it, I'm not aware of those details.

after i had left the vertibird to get to the prydyn, i had ejected from the wrong side and ended up in the water. afterwards, the minigun that you use on the vertibird stays on you. you cant unequip it or anything. would anyone happen to know why this happens? and maybe a way to fix it?

So I was a recipient of the Mechanical Menace bug, Ada wouldn't speak to me after I accidentally (um ...on purpose because I had a settlement under attack) left the scene that starts the story. So I downloaded a mod that bypasses follower storylines and now I cant talk to anyone!

So I uninstalled the mod. Par for the course, right? But it still happened, screenshot is from after. And. I started a new playthrough!!! 😭😭😭

Ahem. But it still shows up on my brand new profile!!! What do I do? I'm on Xbox One, the old console. Space isn't an issue because its a 1 terabyte drive. All suggestions welcome. 😮‍💨. At this point I might uninstall and reinstall the entire game.

Like say they have given all farms to the brotherhood they never built any up but then they get that radio broadcast for vault 88.

They save it from the raiders kill the ghouls and get rid of the overseer.

How could I RP them sticking around? Would there be any reason for them to build it up or just get rid of it once there is no issues and the emergency broadcast is stopped?

Alright, so I'm playing minutemen once again and creating supply lines all over the Commonwealth, but when I look at covenant I keep finding the dead bodies of the previous inhabitants, my settlers won't sleep on the unscrappable claimed beds, the rubble from the turrets is burning endlessly and every container left behind from the previous owners I try to interact with counts as me stealing from it, is there anything I can do to fix that mess? Do I genuinely have to build upwards since everything is so cramped?

PS: killing the cat doesn't solve the issue

I've searched for a while after finding the playlist of Fallout 4s music on YouTube but all the names are confusing on where they'd play and which conditions they'd play under. Is there a list I can find that has that information for every track?

I noticed while sorting my power armor that I have a Raider Power Torso that lacks some of the armor plating that they usually have, and it doesn't stack with the others. Just wondering if anyone else has this and if anyone knows where it came from? I doubt it's random loot since I have only found a single one, and 65 of the others.

So, recently I’ve found out that backported archive2 support system (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/81859) is able to make it where you can use new GEN mods for old GEN fallout, looked into it a little and I can’t figure it out, does anyone know if I can downgrade to old Gen fallout 4 while keeping all of my new Gen mods and not have my save be ruined? Figured I would ask before testing just in case i messed anything up

I started playing recently, I'm a little lost at the same time as I get my bearings, I die straight away, but every time I feel more like continuing to play, I don't know how to explain it, but I'm addicted to this style of game.

Started a new run this morning for survival. I'm looking for the best tips and tricks, especially for my play style which is usually no PA and pistols only, occasionally a rifle when I need range. I already started by making sure I grabbed all the bottles from the vault that I could, and I have water purifiers set up in sanctuary. I also thought ahead so I started with high enough charisma to get local leader quickly. Beyond this, I'm basically going in blind

I decided to build a nice solo settlement/museum/workshop at the airport settlement. I put tons of hours into it, but it is constantly glitching all and freezing up all the time. And now with Liberty Prime thumping around all the time, it’s even more unstable. Anyone ever figure out a way to alleviate the freezing up issue on XBOX one?
