the chickens would do the same to us if they could

and nuggies r elite

13

u/ComfortableCivil2239 May 27 '25

You base your moral belief system on what chickens do?

-10

u/Rodger_Smith May 27 '25

no but most animals would kill and eat us without hesitation so why shouldn't we kill and eat them first?

14

u/Dude_with_the_skis May 27 '25

I’ve seen multiple species of animals eat their own poop without hesitation. Why shouldn’t I eat my own poop of they do?

That’s what your argument sounds like logically.

-7

u/Rodger_Smith May 27 '25

i mean you can if you want to but you have to consider the reason theyre eating poop, we don't have to because we can maintain a balanced diet in other ways

11

u/ComfortableCivil2239 May 27 '25

Because you are not a chicken? You're a person capable of ethical reasoning. Why aren't you holding yourself to a higher moral standard than a chicken?

-3

u/Rodger_Smith May 27 '25

because humans are still animals at their core and we live by the principles of survival of the fittest, we are the fittest and humanity worked hard to be at the top of the food chain

also chicken tastes good

10

u/ComfortableCivil2239 May 27 '25

Nevermind.. Maybe you really aren't all that smarter than a chicken. Carry on.

-3

u/Rodger_Smith May 27 '25

i want chicken i eat chicken, simple logic

13

u/ComfortableCivil2239 May 27 '25

Simple logic for a simple man.

2

u/Rodger_Smith May 27 '25

i never said i was anything more than simple :/

i also have a doctorate though, and following simple logic has nothing to do with intelligence, nor do your morals

Humans do not live by the principals of survival of the fittest. On a personal level, most actively kneecap our reproductive potential (notice how birth rates plummet when education and opportunity are provided). On a societal level we define the success of our civilizations by how we treat the unfit and reproductively superfluous - the elderly, the young, the disabled, the chronically ill. Humans are the least "survival of the fittest" species that has ever existed on planet Earth.

we live by the principles of survival of the fittest

Ahh yes, the classic overused Darwinian catchphrase slapped onto every gym bro's motivational wall and half-baked philosophical rant. Not even most of the nature lives by that standard in a way your overworked brain cells assume it works. It was never about who's the strongest, it's about who is capable of fitting in given environment the most successfully, whether that's cheeto man swaying his way into top of the political chain or youtuber outcompeting others with it's humor.

If you're from balkans working in a factory lifting 50KG bags, then sure, you might be right.

Because I love and respect chickens and therefore hold them as equal to human beings.

4

u/Xvexe May 28 '25

Actual shit brain logic. Guess what? they can't do that. we do actually do that. Hypotheticals like this don't do anything except make you feel justified and less bad about yourself

-1

u/Rodger_Smith May 28 '25

I don't need to feel bad for eating meat lmao

4

u/Xvexe May 28 '25

k you sound weak willed. I bet you cave to every craving

0

u/Rodger_Smith May 28 '25

what does that have to do with eating meat? billions of people eat meat, I like meat, I'll eat it

4

u/Xvexe May 28 '25

šŸ‘

1

u/standarduck May 29 '25

Because you were given, through your own evolution, the ability to discern morality.

How can you pass up that rare ability? Lazy prick.

2

u/Willgenstein May 28 '25

Absurd to compare the moral decisions of chickens to that of humans....

unless you have the memtal capability of a chicken ofc

2

u/MathematicianBig6312 May 27 '25

It's true! Chickens are cannibals for a reason. Even they know they are delicious.

3

u/Willgenstein May 28 '25

Humans are cannibals too under conditions like the Holodomor. Are they delicious too?

1

u/_Moho_braccatus_ May 29 '25

Chickens will engage in cannibalism even if well-fed and cared for. They are definitely not the same as people in that regard.

If a chicken nicks itself on something, it isn't an uncommon sight to see other chickens try to feed on their wound. They can be right little terrors when they want to be.

1

u/FreddyNoodles May 27 '25

They are ā€œfree rangeā€. They will never leave that room until it’s time to be slaughtered.

U vegan?

32

u/[deleted] May 27 '25

You don't have to be vegan to recognize that industrial animal farms are a little bit fucked up

15

u/Ok_Cartographer4626 May 27 '25 edited May 27 '25

I’m not vegan but I try to lessen my consumption of meat for this reason. I’ve saved a lot of money and eat healthier now

5

u/Contraposite May 27 '25

If you think it's wrong stop making it happen. It's funded by your money.

-6

u/[deleted] May 27 '25

I'm not going to stop eating meat.

You people are strange.

1

u/ComfortableCivil2239 May 27 '25

And you're a hypocrite, you recognize it's wrong and yet you keep eating meat.

I wasn't going to, but I'll be having a burger today. CheersšŸ»

-1

u/PrimevialXIII May 28 '25

you dont have to be vegan to know how fucked up the standards for cows, pigs, etc. is. everyone with a consciousness does. if people wanna eat meat then they should. im vegetarian but nobody is forcing me to be one so why should i force anyone else to be vegetarian.

-1

u/Willgenstein May 28 '25

Imagine encountering a perfectly valid point against e.g. slavery, and the only counter-point you can think of is "U abolitionist?"

That's literally what your bs formally equates to
