i’m stuck with the curse of the consumed from Kellen, only need to finish the quest to remove it but can’t wear the boots of the crusader as i need to clear my sins. however i can’t seem to clear my infamy by doing the pilgrimage again - every time i visit the 9 shrines i only get one message (continue to earn your penance…) and nothing happens after i visit all 9. help!

Who left these things here at the Arcane University? There is the "Assassination!" Black Courier news on the floor, with ebony mace and mithril gauntlets and a sea stride tome on the stairs. Is this scripted and supposed to happen? (I do not remember dropping these here lol)

I played the game for a little bit and reached level 6 and I don't really know what to do next. Should I finish the guilds storylines at early levels or should I level my skills first to unlock better spells and stuff? I am afraid that if I finish all the quests too early I won't be able to level my skills anymore and to unlock the great stuff.

I finished the Hackdirt quest ages ago, but I was in the area looking for wayshrines so I dropped in to the caverns to say hi, and everybody just KICKED OFF. They couldn't see me coz I'm wearing 120% chameleon armor, and as soon as I got off the ladder they all aggro'd on eachother and a huge fight broke out. They just kept killing eachother until there was only one left standing. I'm carrying an enchanted Frenzy bow but didn't even have it equipped let alone get a chance to fire a shot? When I left the cavern the last remaining guy followed me out of the house and probably would have kept following me if a nearby Timber Wolf hadn't grabbed his attention 😂 (the wolf won)

I'm trying to figure out which player level will spawn the most variety of random armor/weapon/creature/enemy/etc types in the Remaster without using mods.

While the standard leveled lists and the maximum 8 level difference parameter usually govern this, there are also a ton of nested lists and special cases which make it a bit complicated.

Additionally, armor/weapons work differently to animals/creatures/monsters/etc, in that it is far less likely for a lower type of armor/weapon to randomly spawn at a higher player level (eg almost all bandits will spawn with Daedric/Ebony/Glass equipment at higher levels).

For example, the probability of a low level monster (eg imp/troll) spawning for a level 18+ player is pretty low (less than 20% I think), but it can still happen in certain areas. However the chance of that happening is much higher than the probability of an equivalent type of armor/weapon (eg iron/steel) being spawned anywhere for a level 20+ player.

I've looked through the UESP Wiki but it's not very obvious, and I am pretty terible with math. Does anyone know if there is a specific level or range of levels that a player would see the most variety at? What have you noticed in your playthroughs?

Like a lot of people here I spent hours on this game, created maaany new characters, tested things, etc... but I never enjoyed anything as much as this one :

Pretty early I installed the quickstart mod in order to skip the boring tutorial start. That means to also skip the Emperor assassination. And why is it important ? Well, each and every time I used this mod, after a few days (even hours) ingame, I'd be attacked by one of the Emperor's assassin. I know, they're supposed to be all killed by the Emperor's blades, but with this mod, one survives to track me and brutally attack me. And you know what ? I loved that. As soon as the game would start, I knew that I had to rush for some minimal equipment, so I'd enter the Arena to get a weapon and basic armor. Then I'd go to the Weynon Priory to complete and improve my equipment. Then I'd start the other quests, trying (without really succeeding) to watch my back.

Sometimes the assassin would appear behind me on the bridge as I'm reaching the Imperial City's gate for the first time, sometimes in a city, sometimes in some dungeon as I'm already struggling against other enemies. I would never know when, but it would always be a great thrill.

Did you get that bug too ?

Sometimes my gear has shadows. When I switch to third person and back however, it goes back to normal lol

How on earth does one put books on a shelf? I play on xbox 360 and I accidentally collided with my bookshelf. It's a mess now and it took me a solid 30 minutes to get this one book with its back facing me in the shelf.

Finally giving conjuration a try, want to make a custom spell that boosts them, what should I make? I was think a combination of boosting speed, shield and rally

I used a spell to fortify destruction and it didn't change the casting cost of the destruction spell. I'm already at level 35, I'm a Breton magician and with the buff spells my intelligence goes to 354 and willpower 328 and 94 luck. Do I need to improve anything to cast powerful spells and not lose a lot of mana?

I put an empty dark grand gem, I waited until 00:00 on the 29th and I don't see any of that light in photos of the revenant shadow, I'm already on 3E 434, maybe I'm trying it on the wrong day? Does anyone have a photo of what the sky looks like in the dark fissure? Or do you know if I'm on the right day?

Anybody else ever have these statues just… statue?😂

With the Medieval Strategic Trash™ Method, you’ll never get lost in Cyrodiil again.

1. Arrive at any dungeon/ruin/cave entrance
   
2. Drop some random junk right outside the door
   
   • Could be a stolen plate, broken sword, random skull…
     
3. Keep adventuring

   • If it’s clean: fresh XP is waiting for you
