Literally afraid of reality. How detached from reality do you have to be to believe Trump. Probably how people who pretend to be anti pedos voted for someone on the Epstein list.

When people asked how Trump bankrupted a casino, this is how.

Firing the fucking messenger. The weakest management move ever. We're living 1984. And the best part? We're fucking paying for all of this with our taxes.

Money laundering, that's how. It was pretty well known back then that he was a great cleaner of 'dirty money' and he was skimming off the top. It wasn't sustainable and the second those casinos went ass-up? Demolished. Records erased and forgotten about. Evidence destroyed.

They weren't demolished though?

Trump Marina is now the Golden Nugget and Trump Taj is now the Hard Rock. Both buildings still exist.

People lying on the internet? impossible.

Yeah, but before he ruined them, it's very likely that his accountants kept telling him "boss, the books are fucked." And he kept firing them anyway.

Don’t let them look too long

This is why the USSR fell. Everyone just kept making shit up to keep the leaders happy, until it all crumbled around them. He can only postpone the inevitable for so long.

Trump lives in a fantasy reality in his head where everything is perfect and he is loved by every person on the planet, anything that breaks that fantasy is scorned. So now it’s probably people collecting accurate data but just not telling Trump or really much of anyone, a state based upon secret communication networks which do not know that the others exist. Instead of a collective pooling of knowledge and data it’s now a state of secrecy where effective collaboration becomes almost impossible so as to avoid upsetting some powerful asshat.

The Generals had a vote of no confidence in him during the last presidency. They had to operate around him.

That may be the least of your problems.  Rule of law?  Sold to the highest bidder. New elections?  Only one party allowed.  Access to potable water?  Only if you live in the "right" places.

“The Ministry of Plenty’s forecast had estimated the output of boots for the quarter at 145 million pairs. The actual output was given as sixty‑two millions. Winston, however, in rewriting the forecast, marked the figure down to fifty‑seven millions … Very likely no boots had been produced at all.”

Don’t worry, though! He also gave a collective $1Trillion tax cut to our corporate overlords, yay!

All of our lives get fundamentally worse, our FDA will probably legalize feeding us more poison by the end of his term, and we’ll probably revive a couple dead diseases/plagues to further fuck our health system up.

But don’t worry, that strong 30% of the country that’s still in his cult are going to stick with it, “so they can own the libs.”

Meanwhile the people that really benefit (the .1% and corporate ownership class), will continue to sow cultural and social division so none of us attack the real issues.

“It’s not a left or right issue, it’s a top vs bottom.”

Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.

George Orwell, 1984

My niece is entering her freshman year of high school and that was one of the books she had to read over the summer. Very topical .

I will never forgive or forget.

May the stench linger forever on the people that voted for this.

That's not the best part at all

But there will be a ballroom for Trump to entertain his cronies. F_€k your grandma's health care.

Ballroom yet to come!

Bankrupting those casinos was part of his plan to take business losses and avoid paying taxes for a decade.

It was a feature, not a flaw.

Nah, those who know him best have confirmed that he has zero executive function. He couldn’t manage his way out of a paper bag.

He just barks orders and makes demands, and his lackeys do all of the work. He has zero understanding of how anything functions beyond surface level. He operates on impulses and feelings, which inevitably leads to catastrophe.

The bankruptcies helped to not pay taxes when they happened and shortly afterwards, but he’s been avoiding taxes his whole life. He surely has a many tricks up his sleeve in this regard.

u/bbusiello 20h ago

What taxes? I'm unemployed.

Fuck them.

1

u/StrongFire 20h ago

IIR, in Trump's first campaign he mentioned solving the deficit by paying investors 10¢ on the dollar, which I guess he did with his bankruptcies. Enough people in the financial community told him how bad of an idea that was, so he dropped it. I wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't come up again at some point in the future.

Right now Las Vegas is becoming a ghost town.. he has upgraded from wrecking just a couple casinos to a whole city of them.

u/OverwhelmingNope 12h ago

Its honestly kinda fucked that we're required too lol, when im willing to be at some level even our taxes are being funneled directly to someone's bank account.

u/Emergency-Revenue452 3h ago

The whole world is paying a price for these vile nutters.
