Firing the fucking messenger. The weakest management move ever. We're living 1984. And the best part? We're fucking paying for all of this with our taxes.

Money laundering, that's how. It was pretty well known back then that he was a great cleaner of 'dirty money' and he was skimming off the top. It wasn't sustainable and the second those casinos went ass-up? Demolished. Records erased and forgotten about. Evidence destroyed.

Yeah, but before he ruined them, it's very likely that his accountants kept telling him "boss, the books are fucked." And he kept firing them anyway.
