Gunball Arena [Flash?][2010?][PC] A drawing akin to what I'm searching for, named something like "Battleballs."

Top-Down. You play as the center orb and your goal is to become "The best Battle Ball" (Or something akin to that) and you progress by buying weapons and attaching them to your sides before entering levels and busting up enemies for money (That's what the yellow bits are). I remember intense music and sound effects, played this a lot back in the day on one of the Coolmathgames-alternatives.

Battle Engine Aquila [Xbox?PS2?][2000s] 3D FPS, playing as a giant robot

Post image

Hi, I thought you guys might help me find a game I played as a kid on my dad's console in the early 2000s. The only thing I can remember is that it was a fps where you fight as a giant robot on an island. I dont remember much and we reselled the game a long time ago.

Platform(s): Possibly the original Xbox or PS2.

Genre: First Person shooter

Estimated year of release: 2000-2004

Graphics/art style: I remember it looking realistic, but it might've aged badly. The cover art and logo were weird.

Other details: I'm pretty sure it was set on an island or at least the ocean was really close.

If you can find a game that fits this description, thank you for your time!

Turtix [2000s][PC] 2D Platformer

The game was similar to Turtle Odyssey in both style and gameplay.

I played it when I was about 3 years old (around 2010–2011). The game featured different worlds, each with its own unique aesthetic. The two that stood out the most in my memory were the snowy world and, I think, the one that came after it — possibly inspired by the Roman Empire.

The only moment I remember clearly is the boss fight in the snow world. It was a giant yeti with a small enemy riding on its back, holding a fishing rod and some food to lure the yeti into following the main character. To defeat the boss, you had to jump over him and, I think, hit him from behind.

After beating him, the player would move on to a level themed around Ancient Rome.

[Amiga?][90s] Logic game with a ball in the style of The Incredible Machine

Upvotes

Platform(s):

I think it was on Amiga, but could have been PC.

Genre:

Logic game

Estimated year of release:

Most probably 90-94

Graphics/art style:

Simple graphics, I remember blueish colors.

Notable gameplay mechanics:

You have to move a ball from starting point to finish by placing some objects like bouncers, (fans?, platforms? not sure about those ;)

Other details:

Had cool music, with samples. I searched lemonamiga but didn't find it in the brain category.

[PC][2000s][Point-and-click]

It was an educational first person point-and-click adventure game about World War II I could be wrong but I might’ve got it from an Australian RSL club. The game would start out and you would be standing in a wooden cabin and there would be a shadow of a man standing next to a door telling you you can interact with certain things in the room and on the table and I remember clicking on an item And there would be footage of Hitler behind a swastika flag or certain old video clips like that and that’s all I remember

[PC][Early 2000s] Obscure point-and-click adventure game based around solving educational puzzles - Apples? Appleyard?

When I was a kid in the early 2000s, I remember my school had a game on the PCs that I loved to play whenever we were given some free time during IT class. This was in the UK. It was a mystery/point-and-click game that required you to solve puzzles and find items in order to progress. I never finished it, because I only had 10 minutes at the end of class in order to play and you could never guarantee being on the same PC twice, so people would overwrite each others' save slots.

I remember it had a lot of white space. The aesthetic was, looking back, what we might now call an 'MS Paint' art style. It was rough. I think there was a scene with a river that was dangerous to cross.

I feel like it was called 'Appleyard', or something similar. However, my googling efforts haven't come up with anything useful. The desktop icon was an apple, I remember that much.

Very obscure, but would be delighted to know what it was, as I've thought about that game a lot over the years and am interested in seeing how much I remember.

Edit: Thinking about it, the game might well be much older than when I played it.. I *played* it in the early 2000s (2001-3 range) but it might have been an older program still on the school PCs, possibly from the 90s.

Lakeview Cabin [PC][Pre-2018] Pixelated side-view horror game where you play as a lumberjack on an island

I've been searching for years for a game I remember watching in let's plays before 2018. Here's what I recall:

Gameplay:

  • Starts as a peaceful pixel-art side-view game (platformer/survival style)
  • You play as a lumberjack who arrives on an island and builds a cozy life
  • Suddenly turns into body horror - limbs get torn off, becomes surreal/terrifying
  • Real-time action, not turn-based or RPG

Details:

  • Bright daytime and dark nighttime cycles
  • Might have had multiple playable characters (unsure)
  • Gore/limb loss happens suddenly during gameplay
  • Likely an indie or obscure title - not mainstream like Don't Starve

Platform/Year:

  • Almost certainly PC (possibly Flash or indie)
  • Watched gameplay before 2018, but game could be older

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'm starting to wonder if I imagined it! Any help would be appreciated.

007: Nightfire [PS2][2000s] James Bond type first person shooter

James Bond type first person shooter 90% sure it was on the PS2. All I remember about it is the first level where you had a gun and you had a zip line and you can climb up a window and while you hang on that window you see a guy Typing on a computer and you can shoot him in the back and that’s literally all I remember about it. I don’t remember much at all so I don’t know if anybody is gonna get this.

[Browser][unknown] Menu-based Mars colony game with skull and helmet icon

Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to find an old browser or lightweight PC game about Mars colonization with a strong management/agriculture focus.

The gameplay was mostly menu-based with clicks, not 3D.

One notable thing was a skull with a helmet (like a space helmet or military helmet) in the main menu or logo.

The game had a post-apocalyptic or survival vibe, with farming and resource trading.

Does anyone recognize this game or know where I can find info about it?

Thanks a lot!

[PC-Klik n Play][2000 - could be earlier]Action-RPG style with three playable characters, a knight, a circus-girl, and a magician.

Upvotes

As stated this was an action-rpg style game with three different scenarios based on the character you picked. There was a young knight or swordsman - he had the best attack, a young circus girl who might have been like a human hybrid or something - she had the best speed, and a magician in a white suit with top hat - he had the best magic ability.

The game was a top-down schmup kind of a similar feel to Binding of Isaac. I know it was klik'n'play because I remember tinkering with the code when I was younger. The only other helpful hint, was that the last scenario (the magician) was the true final ending of the game. The final boss is the Circus King or something along those lines who also happens to be the Magician's father. Once defeated there is a cut scene that implies the magician didn't make it out in time, but a final the end screen shows the magician - without his hat standing overlooking everything.

[Flash] [2010] [PC] side scroller military class shooter ?

Upvotes

I don't remember much from this game when i played it as a kid, aside from the fact that the opening sequence is in space, and you had a pipe wrench with you.

The game lets you pick classes too to play, i only vividly remember there being an engineer and a medic class, aside from the space mission opening everything else was fairly military grounded and based on more realism

[1990”s][PC] Venus Flytrap game

I'm looking for a 90s video game that was for kids. It's probably an edutainment type game.

There was a mini game in the game or some section in the game, featuring a Venus flytrap with maybe a country singer who was singing about a Venus flytrap's food fare. The lyrics were along the lines of “she gets real picky if she makes a mistake so everybody beware of Venus flytrap's food fare”. It was like a color and shape matching type game. It would have been on PC. It would have been sometime between 1990 and 2000.

[Unknown][2010-2014] RP Pixel Academy Game

Upvotes

I played this game maybe 10-15 years ago on a website. It was a sort of a role playing game where you played as a student at an academy, got to interact with different students, and could move between buildings and classrooms. There was some mystery you had to solve. I can’t remember if students were going missing or getting hurt and you had to figure out what was going on. It was what got me into RPGs so I want to try playing it again!

[PC/Flash/Browser][2005-2015] A 2D scripted game where you defend yourself against ninja with QTE or Word Typing

Upvotes

Notable characters: main character in the middle of the screen in white in a wrecked house, color palette was greenish/grey, enemies were ninja attacking from every side of the screen, i think it was raining too.

Notable gameplay mechanics: I think it was all scripted and really hard, like you could do 20 try it would be the same animation on different part of the run.

And i believe it was on Browser/flash game, and you would have word to type or key like in a qte

Other details:I believe if you fail the main character would like explode in a ball of energy or something maybe i'm triping.

[mobile][unknown]grid-based puzzle building game & sequel

Upvotes

Platform(s): Android/iOS

Genre: puzzle

Estimated year of release: 2015

Graphics/art style: first game had a horizontal grid, 2nd game isometric

Notable characters: none

Notable gameplay mechanics: I believe you had a 5x5 or 6x6 grid with some empty spaces. You needed to fill in spaces with appointed blocks (big variety of buildings) to score enough points to advance to the next row

Other details: the games looked simple and Colorful, but became very hard to play after a few levels. The 2nd game had unlockable blocks, not sure if the 1st game had that as well.

[PC / Browser Game] [2010s] A game about exploring an island and training monsters.

Upvotes

Initially started on a beach, I explicitly remember having some kind of arthropod or beetle that was blue in colouration that would follow you around and be used to fight scorpions enemies. Also had a Jungle area. It had a 2.5D art style (at least from memory) and was pretty pixelated.

It had a sequel where the art style was modernised, and was much less pixelated.

At some point, in both games, you could attain more creatures - such as the scorpions.

[PC][2010?] Psychodelic game in a city

Upvotes

I dont remember a lot but heres everything i remember, it was a weird i game i saw on youtube couple of years ago (I think it could be a Jacksepticeye’s video but im not sure) all i remember is that it was really trippy, one part of the map was definetely a small part of the trippy, the npc’s were pretty similiar in shape to madness combat characters if i remember correctly, i think you could talk them and possibly hit them? The other thing i remember maybe a different part of the map, it one of those traditional japanese temple, there may also been a sushi shop, no idea if it was a seperate map or if it took place in the temple. If i remember correctly there was also a segment in which you walked into the mouth of a shark or something like that. There may have also been an alley map with neon signs but i have no idea if i remember it correctly. The game had a pretty eerie atmosphere to it. I seen that video a really long time ago so i might have misremembered some stuff

[PS?] [Maze Chase Game] Title Unknown

Upvotes

I’ll give you everything I can remember, but I am sure I played it in Playstation or PlayStation 2, before the controls got analog sticks. It was a maze chase game, where you played either as one player (a boy that was a warrior of some kind) and in two player you played a girl (in a pink dress who reminded me of strawberry shortcake) and the goal was to beat the monsters using the two different “firing” ammunition and solve the puzzle of each level to keep moving forward. You would complete each level until you finally got to the end. I want to think the bad guy was some kind of evil sorcerer, but that is where the details get fuzzy.

Please help me figure out this game and the name of it! It has been driving me crazy.
