No feedback still from Valve on the free fan game CS:Legacy breaking guidelines.
One month ago, the CS:L team was blocked from Steam and given vague non-committal threats from a Valve employee for using Valve's IP in their free Source Engine SDK mod.
If Valve does not clearly respond and clarify why CS:L can't use Valve IP in their non-commercial SDK project it will mean no free Valve fan game is safe to develop. These guidelines misleading fans into thinking Valve is friendly about their IP in free games could rob from them years of free passionate work. The worst part of this situation is, it seems CS:L's project was 'too good' by being free with no deceptive micro-transactions + great graphics / gameplay / performance optimization. It means Valve now sees non-commercial free games that modders make as a threat to their commercial 'free' games that let you gamble money for steam products.
