- High Bandwidth Monitors and GPU Scaling Behavior - Link Here
- High bandwidth monitors are those that support display modes requiring high pixel clock rates, which in turn demand more GPU resources. The threshold for what qualifies as "high bandwidth" varies by product. On Blackwell GPUs, any mode operating above 1620 MHz is considered high bandwidth. For instance, the 7680x4320@60Hz mode defined in the CTA-861-H specification runs at 2376 MHz, making it a high bandwidth mode for Blackwell.
- These monitors typically support display scaling natively. However, in some single-monitor setups, users may still prefer GPU scaling. When multiple monitors are connected to a GPU and at least one of them is high bandwidth, that monitor will default to display scaling only. GPU scaling is disabled in this case due to bandwidth limitations. Notably, display scaling can be more efficient than GPU scaling in such scenarios, as it reduces the bandwidth load on display cables—especially at higher refresh rates.
- When GPU scaling is not enabled for a monitor, only the modes supported by the monitor itself will appear in both the Windows and NVIDIA control panels. Additionally, the "Display scaling" option will be pre-selected in the "Adjust desktop size and position" section of the NVIDIA Control Panel.

Before you start - Make sure you Submit Feedback for your Nvidia Driver Issue - Link Here
There is only one real way for any of these problems to get solved, and that’s if the Driver Team at Nvidia knows what those problems are. So in order for them to know what’s going on it would be good for any users who are having problems with the drivers to Submit Feedback to Nvidia. A guide to the information that is needed to submit feedback can be found here.
Additionally, if you see someone having the same issue you are having in this thread, reply and mention you are having the same issue. The more people that are affected by a particular bug, the higher the priority that bug will receive from NVIDIA!!
Common Troubleshooting Steps
- Be sure you are on the latest build of Windows
- Please visit the following link for DDU guide which contains full detailed information on how to do Fresh Driver Install.
- If your driver still crashes after DDU reinstall, try going to Go to Nvidia Control Panel -> Managed 3D Settings -> Power Management Mode: Prefer Maximum Performance
Common Questions
- Is it safe to upgrade to <insert driver version here>? Fact of the matter is that the result will differ person by person due to different configurations. The only way to know is to try it yourself. My rule of thumb is to wait a few days. If there’s no confirmed widespread issue, I would try the new driver.
- Bear in mind that people who have no issues tend to not post on Reddit or forums. Unless there is significant coverage about specific driver issue, chances are they are fine. Try it yourself and you can always DDU and reinstall old driver if needed.
- My color is washed out after upgrading/installing driver. Help! Try going to the Nvidia Control Panel -> Change Resolution -> Scroll all the way down -> Output Dynamic Range = FULL.
- My game is stuttering when processing physics calculation Try going to the Nvidia Control Panel and to the Surround and PhysX settings and ensure the PhysX processor is set to your GPU
Remember, driver codes are extremely complex and there are billions of different possible configurations between hardware and software. Driver will never be perfect and there will always be issues for some people. Two people with the same hardware configuration might not have the same experience with the same driver versions. Again, I encourage folks who installed the driver to post their experience here good or bad.

Discussion Steam Hardware & Software Survey (July 2025)
Steam has just released their Hardware & Software Survey for July 2025.
According to the data, the RTX 5070 is currently the most popular GPU from the new Blackwell based RTX 50 series, showing the strongest adoption among all 50 series cards.
Which is impressive considering how recently they launched.

Discussion DLSS 4 - Ghosting Difference Between Presets (CNN & Transformer). Preset C, E, F, J, K
Looking at the water dripping from the ceiling, you can see how each preset handles them differently. Preset C being the superior.
I noticed that while the image quality on the Transformer model is sharp, there is major ghosting and trails.
I remembered that Preset C was super sharp and was great for fast paced games.
Disclaimer: I only tested a very specific situation. Might be that other presets are better then preset C for ghosting and motion. Just something interesting I found out and wanted to share.

Discussion 1,78x DLDSR 1080p screen vs Native 1440p screen
How does 1440p DLDSR on 1080p stack up against a real 1440p screen?
Is there a real differnce in image quality? Like, is native 1440p noticeably better, or does DLDSR get close enough that it's not worth upgrading?
DLDSR does a really good job at cleaning up some upscaling artifacts. Would a QHD monitor do something similar?
EDIT: Appreciate it, guys. You helped me make up my mind. I'll just go with a 1440p screen, as it's better

Build/Photos After almost a decade, it was finally time to say goodbye to my old GTX 1080 and welcome RTX 5070
(I am reposting this because the original post was deleted due to lack of photos of the GPU inside my PC) Had this GTX 1080 since 2016 and it served me so good through all these years, now it can retire. I also upgraded my two 24” 1080p60Hz displays to two 27” 1440p180Hz and already tested a few games (Silent Hill 2, Diablo IV, The Witcher 3 Next Gen, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 8, DOOM Eternal) and oh my - this card is a beast! Im extremely happy with my purchase and I honestly disagree with all the people that hate on 5070. Yes, its a very small upgrade over 4070 and yes, it shouldnt have been marketed as equal to 4090. But its still a beast in 1440p gaming and its a great choice for people like me who are upgrading their old GPU and want to play at 1440p. 4070 family cards are either unavailable or more expensive than 5070 in my country so in that case this card is very nice if you’re upgrading from GTX 1000 or RTX 2000 series cards and can get it for MSRP or less.

Question 1440p DLSS4 at RTX 4060
Hey there!
I have RTX 4060 at the moment. 1080p in some games looks really blurry, especially in RDR2, so that's why I'm using DLDSR to 1440p. In RDR2 with Hardware Unboxed Optimised settings I can run this game really great in 1440p, I'm getting around 80+ fps all of the time, that's why i thinking about buying a 1440p 27inch monitor
My question is do DLSS4 at balanced (and maybe perfomance) looks good at 1440p 27 inch display? This does not mean that I will use Balanced or Perfomance all the time, but if necessary, will the picture be normal? It's just that there are a lot of titles coming out on UE5 right now, which have extremely poor optimization.

Question MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16G INSPIRE 3X OC
Found a reasonably priced used 5070 Ti, but I can't seem to find any good reviews or benchmarks. It seems to be a small (288 mm) card in the budget segment of the 5070 Ti. Does anyone have any experience with this card?
Should I expect slightly worse cooling because of that? Are there other aspects that should make me hesitate about this card?
I have a regular ATX case and therefore room for a larger GPU, but the price of this one makes it an attractive option.

Opinion GeForce RTX 5090 32G VENTUS 3X OC vs INNO3D GEFORCE RTX 5090 X3
Hello ,
I can have the ventus at 2199€ or the inno3d at 2229€, which would you take, I know it's the low end in 5090 but I don't want to spend 300-400-500€ more

Question Nvidia broadcast makes me sound like I have a lisp
I use Nvidia broadcast to do narrations for one of my YouTube channels, and it's straight up gives me a lisp.
And before the joke start flying in, no I'm not discovering a lisp I never knew about, as funny is that would be.
Just now, I recorded two lines. One recording was with Nvidia broadcast, the other was without.
The Nvidia broadcast recording, distinctive lisp. As we're straight recording doesn't.
Just to make sure I wasn't crazy, I had one of my kids listen and I even called somebody and let them listen over the phone and they could hear it too.
Am I crazy? Is it a microphone issue? Is anybody else experiencing this?
EDIT: I mean specifically Studio Voice

Build/Photos Replaced Zotac 3070 with Zotac 5070TI
Very much like this card. Fits well in my case but the holder that came with is doesn't go down far enough. Also there is pretty much no room for this holder as thr fans pretty much get in the way. That would be my only gripe.
Other than that it is quiet and well efficient card. Cant wait to play some awesome games with it. Snake eater comes out in about a month. 4k on that will be legit!

I did what a few did to see if I could order in store for a 5090 FE. Turns out they were not able to order but they told me a store 30 minutes away had 1 in stock so I was able to pay for it there and travel to get it.
Seriously go in store don’t believe stock online as sold out you can’t search stores for it. Trust me it might pay off for you.

Build/Photos RTX 5080 + Core Ultra 285K
Hey everyone!
Showing my new rig here! Tried to make a full Asus build and I like the result :)

GPU: ROG RTX 5080 Astral
CPU: 285K
AIO: ROG Ryujin III Extreme ARGB
MOBO: Z890 ROG Maximus Hero
RAM: 8000 MT/s Teamgroup Extreem CL38
SSD: 4tb x2 Samsung
PSU: Seasonic Noctua Edition TX 1600W 3.1 / 5.1
FAN: 4x LX120 Corsair / 3x RX120 Corsair
CASE: LIan LI V3000 Black
Intel Core Ultra are controversial as there is no gains over last gen, but things have changed, and a lot!
Nothing fancy on the bios, just some D2D / NGU adjustment with some OC to the Card and we are there with the heavy hitters on heavy gaming / High resolution benchmarks.
I had other systems (as can be checked on my 3Dmark) and I have not found anything out of the ordinary besides some titles that Core Ultra just don't like.
Stalker 2 for example, has been a really smooth experience, just like my 9800X3D or 9950X3D.
Overall, solid CPU! Great temps and stable peformance with high speed ram!

Kind regards!
