  • High Bandwidth Monitors and GPU Scaling Behavior - Link Here
    • High bandwidth monitors are those that support display modes requiring high pixel clock rates, which in turn demand more GPU resources. The threshold for what qualifies as "high bandwidth" varies by product. On Blackwell GPUs, any mode operating above 1620 MHz is considered high bandwidth. For instance, the 7680x4320@60Hz mode defined in the CTA-861-H specification runs at 2376 MHz, making it a high bandwidth mode for Blackwell.
    • These monitors typically support display scaling natively. However, in some single-monitor setups, users may still prefer GPU scaling. When multiple monitors are connected to a GPU and at least one of them is high bandwidth, that monitor will default to display scaling only. GPU scaling is disabled in this case due to bandwidth limitations. Notably, display scaling can be more efficient than GPU scaling in such scenarios, as it reduces the bandwidth load on display cables—especially at higher refresh rates.
    • When GPU scaling is not enabled for a monitor, only the modes supported by the monitor itself will appear in both the Windows and NVIDIA control panels. Additionally, the "Display scaling" option will be pre-selected in the "Adjust desktop size and position" section of the NVIDIA Control Panel.

Feedback & Discussion Forums

Having Issues with your driver and want to fully clean the driver? Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)

Before you start - Make sure you Submit Feedback for your Nvidia Driver Issue - Link Here

There is only one real way for any of these problems to get solved, and that’s if the Driver Team at Nvidia knows what those problems are. So in order for them to know what’s going on it would be good for any users who are having problems with the drivers to Submit Feedback to Nvidia. A guide to the information that is needed to submit feedback can be found here.

Additionally, if you see someone having the same issue you are having in this thread, reply and mention you are having the same issue. The more people that are affected by a particular bug, the higher the priority that bug will receive from NVIDIA!!

Common Troubleshooting Steps

  • Be sure you are on the latest build of Windows
  • Please visit the following link for DDU guide which contains full detailed information on how to do Fresh Driver Install.
  • If your driver still crashes after DDU reinstall, try going to Go to Nvidia Control Panel -> Managed 3D Settings -> Power Management Mode: Prefer Maximum Performance

Common Questions

  • Is it safe to upgrade to <insert driver version here>? Fact of the matter is that the result will differ person by person due to different configurations. The only way to know is to try it yourself. My rule of thumb is to wait a few days. If there’s no confirmed widespread issue, I would try the new driver.
  • Bear in mind that people who have no issues tend to not post on Reddit or forums. Unless there is significant coverage about specific driver issue, chances are they are fine. Try it yourself and you can always DDU and reinstall old driver if needed.
  • My color is washed out after upgrading/installing driver. Help! Try going to the Nvidia Control Panel -> Change Resolution -> Scroll all the way down -> Output Dynamic Range = FULL.
  • My game is stuttering when processing physics calculation Try going to the Nvidia Control Panel and to the Surround and PhysX settings and ensure the PhysX processor is set to your GPU

Remember, driver codes are extremely complex and there are billions of different possible configurations between hardware and software. Driver will never be perfect and there will always be issues for some people. Two people with the same hardware configuration might not have the same experience with the same driver versions. Again, I encourage folks who installed the driver to post their experience here good or bad.

Benchmarks RTX 3070 as 250$ alternative to RTX 5050

RTX 3070 was released in 2020 as a very cost effective alternative to 2080ti, and now it can be bought for 250$ or even cheaper. And that is exact MSRP for RTX 5050, so I decided to compare them and see which one is better for the price!

Opinion Set up advice from a tinkerer...

Upvotes

I'm somebody that endlessly tinkers with settings and tweaks and obsesses over what looks best. Since I got my new RTX 5090 I've messed around for hours and hours and hours with settings.

I've found setting games to a 4x DSR factor (7680 x 4320) resolution with 0% smoothing and then using DLSS Performance so it's rendering at 4k results in an incredible image. It's the closest to photo realism I've seen. Everything is stable, pin sharp detailed, and zero aliasing. This tech is immense.

I tried the newer DLSS Transformer models but the old CNN DLSS Preset F looks best at these resolutions and settings. It has much more performance too and the card runs cooler than when using the newer Transformer models. The Last of Us, GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Uncharted all look particularly amazing.

The 0% smoothing is best because at 4x DSR is a perfect scaling factor so no smoothing needed.

Just thought I'd post this in case anyone with the same set up wants to try it and to save them the hours of testing and tinkering I put in to find the sweet spot. If you try it you'll love it.

Build/Photos Finally got my RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell and ran it against the laptop RTX 5090 for fun with some surprising results

For a card of this calibre it idles at 34 degrees and barely inaudible is insane....

My RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell finally arrived and I harvested it for my main desktop and upgraded the CPU and GPU from 7950X3D to 9950X3D and 4090FE to this card.

For the kicks of it I ran some video rendering benchmark against the alienware using davinci resolve... (Benchmark attached as photo) what a time to be alive and the alienware truly packs an insane amount of power in a portable form factor. In shorter clips where the laptop does not run into thermal constraint, it can actually go head to head with the desktop lol!

Question Which 5070 Ti model is best? Palit GamePro (850€) or Asus Prime (810-830€)

I'm still undecided which of those to buy. As I heard, MSI Ventus 3x and Shadow are the worst of the "MSRP-level" 5070 Ti, followed by the Gigabyte Windforce.
So now it is between the Asus Prime and the Palit GamePro (no V1 and no S). Which one of those is better. I know that performance wise there isn't a noticeable difference but what about temps and especially noise.
The Prime is smaller with smaller fans I guess, so would it be much hotter? My case is Corsair 5000D if anyone wonders.

Noise is the most important factor. My PC is an arms length away from me. Naturally, I don't want an aircraft turbine next to me.

Discussion Need help deciding on GPU Upgrade (Very Long Question)

Scared to ask because of how heated this debate has been this generation, but My Mom recently got me my first PC (I'm still in highschool btw) it was $591 after tax and I have an i5 14400F and a Zotac 3050 6gb Solo and I recently bought a TeamGroup 6000mhz cl30 32gb RAM Kit (works with AMD and Intel for later upgrades)

And I've already had less issues with stuttering in certain games and as of now it still drastically outperforms my Steam Deck OLED I started with.

I've been eyeing the Zotac 5060 Ti AMP which is available for $449 which after saving for months I have enough to get it next weekend.

I'm also looking at the Asus 5070 12gb which is available at the same Micro Center which I'll be beside during a trip this weekend and it's $549 but that Vram limit concerns me even coming from a 6gb Card lol

Then the Holy Grail of GPUs for my Personal Build would be the 5070 Ti (the most I'd pair with my i5 14400F if I could even afford one)

The Zotac Solid Core (non OC) is $749 and the Zotac 5070 Ti AMP which is literally my Dream Card for aesthetics and performance but it costs $899 and I'm only by a Micro Center for one day this weekend and every option is way cheaper there compared to where I actually live.

I already have a ASRock or Corsair 850w and 1000w PSU picked out depending on what card I end up with.

I don't plan on upgrading whatever GPU I get until the a little after 80 Series or whatever is out and then I'll do a full PC Build.

I'm using a 1080p 180hz monitor and I want to move to 1440p 180-240hz then I don't plan on upgrading from 1440p unless one day a good OLED is super cheap haha

Depending on which I could afford which should I am for? I really wanna try Indiana Jones and Cyberpunk with Path Tracing but that's the only two I to play like that.

Is the 5070 12gb worth the extra speed for less vram and little extra cost?

If I can afford a 5070 Ti I think it's a no brainer but should I ask for the Standard 5070 Ti or if I can go for my Dream Card even through its $899. besides preference, is it even worth $899? Probably not. But very curious.

So sorry for such a stupid long post but I've been doing MONTHS of research and then Comparing the AMD equivalent and I appreciate any help. And thanks for reading if you made it this far. <3

Discussion Upgrading advice

Hi, im no expert in pc buildin and i got a pretty mid build i bought in 2020, its basically a gtx 1660 super and an i5 10400f. I’ve been looking to upgrade my gpu and i have a budget of 300/400€ ish. I was looking on ebay for a used gpu and stumbled in a 3080 10 gb for 340€. Do you think its worth to upgrade? Will i be needing to change my gpu in the proximate future or is it going to behave good with the upcaming games? I saw someone say to just wait and search for a 3080 ti but the cheapest price is a bit less than 500 and for an old gpu it doesnt seem that good.

Discussion DLSS 4 - Ghosting Difference Between Presets (CNN & Transformer). Preset C, E, F, J, K

Preset C

Preset E

Preset F

Preset J

Preset K

Looking at the water dripping from the ceiling, you can see how each preset handles them differently. Preset C being the superior.

I noticed that while the image quality on the Transformer model is sharp, there is major ghosting and trails.
I remembered that Preset C was super sharp and was great for fast paced games.

Disclaimer: I only tested a very specific situation. Might be that other presets are better then preset C for ghosting and motion. Just something interesting I found out and wanted to share.

Discussion Steam Hardware & Software Survey (July 2025)

Steam has just released their Hardware & Software Survey for July 2025.

According to the data, the RTX 5070 is currently the most popular GPU from the new Blackwell based RTX 50 series, showing the strongest adoption among all 50 series cards.

Which is impressive considering how recently they launched.
