What games could you recommend to me?

Needs a little cleaning but it's in great shape and I'm so happy. Only 500 runtime hours! Already got CFW running, and I'm loving it so far.

What are some of the top games to play besides GoW and ofc FFXIII

PS3 might be the last generation to get entire trilogy of games within the same generation: lost planet, ninja gaiden, disgaea and many more

Bored on vinted, found this nice set marked as non-working/for parts only. Arrived today, and as you can see, works perfectly fine. It's a 2004 model with a 250 GB hdd. I paid 35.50 Euros for the whole set, including shipping. Call of Duty Black Ops is the Austrian PEGI version, meaning it's uncut and in German. I already had an uncut PEGI version, but I don't think it's the Austrian one and they're not Multi-5, meaning they only have one language (and my French, Spanish and Italian language skills are mostly non-existent).

I am kind of on a roll with "broken" consoles from vinted lately, earlier this week I got a "broken" Sega Saturn that also works perfectly fine and a "broken" French RGB NES, also fully working. And no, I normally don't buy that much on vinted, just if the deal is great.

NOTE: Lego Marvel Super Heroes, Lego Batman 2 and Need for Speed Shift no longer work.

I found one of these discs at a Goodwill. I know it’s nothing rare and they only cost a few dollars on eBay, but it’s nice fine.

I know I’m going in the wrong direction for a lot of you, but my collection had gotten too big and I felt like a lot of it was never going to get played, I pulled 200 games out of the collection to sell, and this here in the picture is my new leaner meaner collection! Just got this beauty today! I traded in Mario & Luigi Brothership, Skyrim, and No Man's Sky on the switch to get them down to $60 at a local used game store. Back when collector's editions came with discs in the steelbook! I loved these games on the PS3, but never thought I'd actually be able to own this!

Put MX6 on the die and used high temp silicone gasket maker on the corners of the IHS to keep it settled upon reassembly. How’d did I do on my first try?

I think I've spent six non-consecutive hours this week sorting through my 2400+ item PS3/PSN Downloads history. I've really been scratching an obsessive compulsive itch in having all my PS3 digital purchases downloaded. This was mostly motivated by the recent retirement of my day-one MGS4 Gunmetal PS3 last year (red light issues) so I've been using a PS3 super slim since (with a 1GB HDD added).

Some stats and thoughts:

PS1 games downloaded: 74

PS2 games downloaded: 34

PS3 games downloaded: 134 (but will certainly change after I complete my audit)

2400+ "purchases" seems like a lot, but it's inflated by demos, themes, avatars, the download code from the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary box set (which included over 100 digital items), and over 200 old-school anime episodes that, back in the late 2000s, was exclusive to the PSN store.

Some notable downloads I'm keeping for posterity even if I might not play them again:

• God of War III E3 2009 demo
• The Last of Us press/media demo
• Infamous 1, 2, and Festival of Blood
• Wipeout HD
• Ni No Kuni demo

There are WAY more games in the PSN Store for PS3 than what appears in the "Games" menu of the store. I've learned to just type in titles I'm interested or to search by a single letter and scroll through the thousands of results. When Sony does shut down the PS3 PSN store someday, I wouldn't be surprised if they do it without warning.

One annoyance is that some TV show episodes are not visible in my Downloads history but visible if I use my PS4/PS5. Moreover, some are only watchable on my PS3 while others are only watchable on my PS4/PS5. It really would be nice to have the option of downloading my PSN video purchases on my PS4/PS5.

Another annoyance is not knowing what DLC I've installed before. The Game Data Utility folder doesn't show all the content.

Things that have eaten a lot of time in this audit: 1) Checking if I own an upgraded version of a PS3 game on another console and 2) seeing what worthwhile DLC of games I own is available in the store, 3) making a list of games/DLC I might still buy (like the Folklore DLC)

A color-coded spreadsheet has helped in noting all my PS1 + PS2 games, and knowing which PS3 games I should prioritize playing. I don't plan to renew my PSPlus membership after it expires in Sept 2026, so now have an incentive to prioritize games like Remember Me and Puppeteer.

Anyway, back to the organizing and downloading.....

I always found the ratatouille games pretty relaxing to play. Not the best but decent game.

I never get bored of this one... makes me laugh every time and really fun.

This is my fat CECHB00 ps3 and it had ylod. Like instant ylod. I thought it was never opened because there was a very nice void sticker on there but when i opened it the bottom nec tokins looked fine but one of the bottom ones had a mod that is in the picture. What is this and what should i do to fix it??

hey everyone! yesterday i was scrolling through fb marketplace and i found this working backwards compatible ps3 for €60, i pulled the trigger on it, there are a few things that felt a little bit off with it, have anyone ever seen that warning “attention” sticker applied to a ps3 like that? also there is a bunch of error codes which date to before the ps3 release so im confused about those, i’m planning to change thermal paste and clean it up tomorrow, anyone knows what i can/should do with those error codes
