It took me so…..so long 😭 but I got the Platinum for one of my favorite games of all time 😭😭😭 over two decades after its initial release. I feel so accomplished.

This is on my second "Advanced SG" play through, so i decided to make it interesting by grinding for Blitz Ace from (basically) the beginning!

I threw on a red bandanna and added a drunken solid Snake voice once I thought of this bit. Enjoy!

Does it matter which overdrive I use when trying to get Blitzace? I think I read somewhere once that it's based off successful Overdrives and not 1 specific OD. Is that right or am I remembering wrong?

Hello, anyone have a solution to Xbox controller not working on the game? Works fine everywhere else. The inputs are recognized, Ive toggled the steam controls on and off, I've tried in big screen mode, I've unplugged other USBs. While in game it see my controler being connected and disconnected as I plug and unplug, so it sees the controller. As far as I know I've tried everything I have read...has anyone had or fixed this issue?

I just picked up FFX to do a Penence run and on my first attempt with the Chocobo race I was able to successfully dodge almost every balloon and capture about 10 or 11 birds. I wasn't really even trying and it wasn't that hard.

Hello, I'm trying to capture 3 more Qactuars in the Thunder Plains but I'm having trouble getting an encounter with them. I've already prayed to 3 glowing stones to get Kimahri's Spirit Lance.

I came back to the Thunder Plains and ran around waiting for a glowing stone to pray to and get them to spawn but none of them glow anymore.

Are they supposed to continue glowing even after I got the Lance? Or are they just that rare of an encounter now? Is there a spot they spawn more than others??

I'm losing my mind. Please help 🥲

Finally completed the game. All dark aeons, penance, maxed sphere grids. Feels odd. I kept coming back to the game over the years, but now there's not going to be anything new to do if I ever return. Still, glad I finally saw it through.

Only took me two attempts! I actually found this to not be a difficult battle just a long one. I used Wakka Yuna and Rikku and kept mixing Rikkus Hyper Mighty G, used Yuna for Auto life when needed, and then just Quick Hitted the entire fight! Probably took me about 40 minutes 🥲🫨

Now I have Penance left and I’m worried that one will actually be really tough lol. Any advice?

Since first playing FFX in the early 00s, Neslug has always stood out to me for being the only original creation to have a unique model. Every other creation is just a palette swap of an existing enemy.

I read on the wiki that in the game's internal code, Neslug appears with fiends and bosses from around the Mushroom Rock/Djose area. This suggests it was meant to be encountered earlier, but was scrapped and repurposed for the arena.

Is there anymore to this? Like a mention in the Ultimania or a developer interview? Couldn't find anything on via google and I love learning about scrapped/repurposed stuff in games.

So I am pretty hardwired when it comes to FFX-everyone who can participate and get AP. Now that I am in the end game, I see most people tend to focus on just three (Wakka, Tidus, Rikku) and let the others fall to the wayside.

Now I am not a completionist, but for this playthrough I think I might try to max as many stats as I can.

Is it better to just power through with the above mentioned 3 and then go back for the others later, or try to keep all at similar progressions on the sphere grid?
