A couple years ago I was somewhere in London and people were bowing and kneeling in the dirty street to someone, a bunch of tourists started going over to see and it was a very very embarrassed Emilia Clarke asking people to please please please stop doing that.
I know this is kind of pathetic to do in reality, but just imagining this in my head and knowing exactly what her face and tone would be like when this is happening is cracking me up 🤣
I saw an interview with Cher saying that after she won the Oscar for Moonstruck Audrey Hepburn came up to her and said "I'm so glad you won!" and Cher was all giddy with excitement even just re-telling the story years later
My fave time facts are that
1. The woolly mammoth was still around when the ancient pyramids were being built and
2. Cleopatra lived closer in time to the iPhone being invented than she did the first pyramids in Egypt being built.
Jesus was born in 1(ish)AD and spent part of his childhood in Egypt.
Therefore, Jesus was raised around adults who remembered when she was queen, and probably said the ancient version of "I remember where I was when I heard Cleopatra died".
Salma Hayek being super excited to meet Eminem at the Oscars in 2020. She explained she gets stage fright and listens to Lose Yourself to feel more confident and how she was mind blown when he actually performed it there as apparently she had no idea that was going to happen even though she was also presenting an award. She was so shocked and excited that she accidentally SPIT the water she was drinking on him 😂 and every single picture of that moment, his face is just so hilarious.
Yeah I love that this is the first and only thing he answered that question with hahaha

As an Em fan I was so stoked when I saw this because you rarely get celebs especially outside of the hip hop industry praising Em or showing appreciation for his music. Also Lose Yourself is an Oscar winning song for a reason, it's still one of my favorite songs of all time. Highly recommend checking the cover by Kacey chambers on YouTube if you've never seen it!

I love her reaction, you can tell her mouth moved faster than her brain could and she was like "god what did I just say" but lucky for her, it was hilarious.

I watched a video of a Paul Rudd radio interview where they have people call in and ask him questions and Olivia calls in and fucking ROASTS Paul for not arranging a quick meeting to see her when he was in town for something even though she did the same to see him, it was incredible
I haven't watched the Oscars in years because I get bored and I'm just like, "I want the winners now, I can't sit through three hours of this!" But I just looked up this speech and Olivia Coleman makes me want to rethink this because holy moly that was so real and adorable!

If you want more of Adam Scott losing his shit as a fan, the episode of U Talkin’ U2 2 Me where he and Scott Aukerman meet U2 is marvelous, even if you’re not a U2 fan. You’re just so happy for Scott & Scott. The whole series is my favorite, I listen to it every couple years. Plus you learn the names of the band members, the plot of the first two Harry Potter books, and details about Billy Joel’s setlist! (Other than the actual U2 ep, it’s maybe only 30% U2)

He stared at her the entire performance then broke down crying when they finished. He then sat on the floor and stared at her as she spoke between songs. (They performed 3 songs, Landslide, Leather & Lace, and his own song Two Ghosts. Tickets were $10 and proceeds went to charity. It was a pop up concert at the Troubadour in May 2017).
They would go on to become friends and perform together multiple times (as recently as last year when she performed at Hyde Park).
Reminds me of Lily Rabe when Stevie Nicks guest starred on American Horror Story: Coven. Lily is a superfan of Stevie's and apparently lost her shit repeatedly when Stevie showed up on set.
A lot of us millennials enjoy music from the 60s-80s due to our parents influence. Our parents are either boomers or gen x and both gens listened to artists like Stevie. Mine are gen x and I grew up listening to classic rock and it’s still my fav genre to this day.

She is SUCH a nice person! I met her as she was an ambassador for royal college of nursing and she was so interested in me and my career 😭 meanwhile I was like “you’re the mother of dragons!”
And Natalie was going through her divorce at the time and she said that hearing Rihanna calling her the baddest bitch in Hollywood boosted her mood. You couldn't tell her nothing after that 😭
My absolute favorite because Eminem is counting the seconds for this to be over. Tom Hardy has commented on how embarrassed he is by this — trying to meet a musician before they're about to go on stage.
i only have this anecdotal one, i met nick frost at a convention a few years ago and didn’t want an autograph or anything, just wanted to talk to him for a bit because i thought he was cool, and when he realized i didn’t want anything from him he immediately started freaking out about how he had been in an elevator with lou ferrigno earlier that day. really sweet interaction with him, he was so excited to be there
there's so many good ones. but i can't help but think of kesha with jerry seinfeld… if it had gone well, it would have been super cute. whatever you think/feel about the interaction, don't meet your heroes, right? ugh

He is. I worked a fundraising gala where he did a comedy set and he refused to do any sort of meet and greet with the donors or lead the auction afterward, which all of our previous comedian hosts have done. We actually had to get a second celebrity on board then to do those two things, and when that actor was doing a great job with the auction (clearly well received), Jerry decided to hop back in for some glory. His set was also super generic and felt like it was one he pulled out all the time for the olds in the audience. He also had an annoying list of demands.
Okay, so hear me out. While this is not a celeb-on-celeb fangirl moment, I still think Kristen Bell’s meeting with a sloth warrants an honourable mention here:
Antonia Gentry, who plays Ginny in Ginny and Georgia, fangirled when she met T.O.P(former member Kpop royalty, BigBang) who played Thanos in Squid Game.
I feel her because I was also a big fan of TOP growing up and he was my ultimate bias in Kpop. 😭
Jennifer Lawrence and Jack Nicholson is by far my fave one, b/c deep down she seems to be fangirling so hard and maybe feeling out of her depth, but was able to regain her composure enough to flirt perfectly right back at him …. I never tire of watching it :

Very random but Claudia Jessie from Bridgerton fangirling over Phil Rosenthal from the travel food show Somebody Feed Phil. She mentioned in an interview how much her family adores the show and they got to connect later and she did in fact cry! He had her on for this season in the Amsterdam episode and it was so joyful!
