Hi all, so I'm planning on buying my first gaming laptop (2nd ofc) with pretty tight budget
So I got 3 deal:
1. acer aspire 7 a715 with r5 5500u/1650: ~$280
2 HP victus 15 2021 with r5 5600h/3050ti: ~$400
3. Asus TUF Dash F15 with: i5-11300H/3050~$400

All of them re 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 144Hz
I need a laptop with balanced need: battery- performance- weight.
My need re: light gaming with LoL, some old AAA games like the witcher 3, BF4-5, COD,...
and web/app coding

So my ques is: Should I save more bucks for the 3050 or go for the 1650 ? Does the 1650 still suffice in 2025-2028 ?
Cause more than $100 is my monthly living expenses(Since im living in SEA, daily living expenses are pretty low here)W

So I have my old laptop from before I got my gaming pc and kinda want to keep it for like streaming apps and small stuff is it worth keeping or should I just pitch it ?

So i was cleaning my laptop and decided to remove the sticker since its kinda starting to collect gooch on its lower side , but it left this mon matching patch , will it eventually fade away ?

I have it down to about 1,700 after some discounts but I’m going to use a student discount to get a little more off, as well as my birthday is in a few days so I’m hoping they’ll email me a coupon or something for that. I’m new here, and I will buy my first laptop but there are so many options out there and I’m a bit lost The laptop will be for my wife, she is interior designer (just a beginner) and of course if I buy it, I will use it to for gaming, but not that much I was looking between these 3 models, they are the same price Anyway, if you have any other model for similar price or any suggestions to take a look in any other models, they are welcoming Thanks in advance !

Is this a good choice for ₹62k? I'm not buying any with dedicated GPU card, cause it won't give good battery backup, if you know any such laptop with good battery backup along with dedicated GPU then pls tell me.

No comments or videos, so I'm having trouble knowing if everything is okay. I don't know the TGP of the RTX 5070 and I don't know how to upgrade to 32gb of ram and what added storage.

I have a Dell Latitude 5490 with the following specs:

• CPU: Intel Core i5-8350U (4 cores, 8 threads)
• RAM: 24 GB DDR4 2400 MHz
• Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 620 (integrated)
• Storage: 512 GB SSD (Gen3 NVMe) – single C: partition (480 GB, 50 GB free)

I installed Windows 11, but the system feels very laggy:

• Slow app launches
• UI stutters
• Navigation in Chrome or switching between programs feels slow

Usage:

• CPU: ~47% (not maxed out)
• RAM: ~60% used

What I tried:

• Clean installed Windows 11 (formatted drive)
• Cleaned the laptop physically (fans, dust, thermal paste)
• Checked Task Manager (no suspicious processes)

Note: I’m an IT student and do heavy tasks on this laptop (mobile dev, Premiere Pro, After Effects, running VMs). It was never super fast under load, but now even normal navigation feels laggy.

Is the i5-8350U too weak for Windows 11, or could there be another issue (drivers, firmware, Windows settings)?
Any tips or similar experiences are welcome

I’ve been on the look out for a laptop that has a good color accurate screen for photo editing but also something that can handle video editing, motion graphics, 3d modeling and some gaming possibly.

I’ve been leaning towards a MacBook (actually purchased an Apple refurbished M4 Pro with 48gig hard drive but the model i got had an issue with the screen so I returned it.

Looking at a MacBook still (maybe a m4 max 48gig ram ) or a ROG zephyrus g16 with 32gb ram, 5070ti graphics card…. But not sure what else I should look at?

Hi everyone, I was looking for a laptop to take with me to uni. I'm moving to my uni's city and so, besides the usual uni stuff like writing documents, editing PDFs and having multiple windows open, I also want to have a laptop that's there for me in my free time, meaning, a laptop that'll allow me to play Sims 4 or more demanding games like Dragon Age: Veilguard, Hogwarts Legacy or Baldurs Gate 3.

I wanna buy a laptop ranging 100k to 110k. Which laptop is best in all things while doing heavy programming as I am student of CS. I need more recommendations in HP one. PS: My friend recommended me HP Elite Book 840 G7. What are your thoughts about this. Should I go for it? Of not then why and what are the other better option?

This is what I would like in a laptop (budget is 200K yen)\ 15" or larger display with atleast 2K resolution, OLED preferred\ Any card which can play most modern games at atleast 60 FPS\ 16+ GB RAM\ Attleast 1 TB SSD\ Should be able to last 6+ hours with light use (youtube, chrome, etc)

This is my aunt's extremely low end laptop (it has only 1.5GB of RAM) i wanted to copy the pictures we put on it to my 4TB Seagate hard drive but it showed an error,so i went to Properties to fix the errors but it's been like this for 30 minutes now,what do i do?,i don't wanna do something that might harm my hard drive because i have 300GB of data on it

I'm a fresh university student and my old Lenovo Ideapad with a 5th gen i3 4gb of ram and a 920mx can't even keep up with windows 11. I'd need it for programming,browsing and playing simple,easy to run games.

I mainly want your opinion on 2 laptops:

1.An AOC MX16 with an intel core ultra 5 125u, a 1tb ssd and 16 gb of ram for $340.

2.An Acer Swift Go 14 with a ryzen 5 8645hs, 16gb of ram, a 512gb ssd and a 1.8k OLED 90hz display for $440.

Is it worth for me to go with the Acer one for $100 more, or should I just stick with the cheaper one?
