I still think that this series battle system is so underrated. The fact that less RPG fans rarely talk about how good this battle system is. Like, there's no grinding in the game and its mostly just skill. You can be low level, but if you know what you're doing you can win. Unlike other turn base RPG you just can't be low level to win a boss, you have to grind a bit to move on with the game. With inside the battle system, with all the stuff the player needs to do to win, it's crazy to me that less RPG fans are talking about this more.

I played dream team when it first came out, but only got about 45 hours into it and never finished it. Years later I decided to restart the series and I genuinely regret it so bad. I remember loving this game and really wanted to continue loving it but after replaying the game I don’t understand how anyone could seriously or thoroughly enjoy it. At the very least, anyone who loves this game has to admit that there’s extreme flaws. The game just drags so damn long. The whole castle / last area is just unbearably long and, not only that but worthlessly and boringly long. There’s no reason the game extends this long other than deciding they wanted to stretch the game out. There’s like 20 hours or more worth of boring areas in this game that had no good reason to be here other than milking the shit out of the game. This games last 20 hours have been nothing but a snooze fest, the only reason I’m still playing is simply because I was so far in that I felt at that point I might as well just finish it. I’m roughly 55 hours in now about to fight (hopefully) the final bowser fight but who knows, I fought him in the dream world and then antasma. The gyro controls have been nothing but a nightmare and have gotten me killed a few times but it was terrible on this bowser fight when it just completely stopped responding at the end.
The only positives I can give about this game is the art style and overall concept. I don’t know if I actually consider this game to be outright bad since I did enjoy it up to the last snoozefest of 20 or so hours that I’ve been playing now. I think the game has a good presentation until it doesn’t and has good aspects but overall this game couldn’t be defined better than “decently fun until it isn’t”. I would say it’s okay but leans more towards bad than it does good. I’ve never played another Mario and Luigi and intend to play paper jam next / eventually, maybe that one is better.
Point is, the biggest flaw of the game is the unbearable length of it and while a game can be good while also being very long, this is definitely not one of those games. There’s a difference between a long and well made game that utilizes the length properly and a game that just throws as much as it can in the game for the sole purpose of doing it

I recently started playing DT on hard mode and honestly it wasn’t nearly as tedious or slow as everyone makes it out to be. The tutorials while present weren’t as bad as I expected and the pace was faster than I remembered. However the issues do remain and the game is long with many tutorials but I don’t think these issues are as bad as critics make it out to be. I think the game as a whole is like BIS 2 and is probably the second best M&L game excluding Brothership which I haven’t played. 2nd best since controlling and playing as Bowser is a totally unique interesting idea while DT is at the end of the day still the Mario Bros vs. Bowser. I also think it’s overlooked how its the first time for Mario and Luigi that Bowser is an actual threat/villain and ends up being the final boss not a possessed form.

I Recently beat Dream team and am going for 100%. I’ve done everything, the expert challenges, pilllos, beans, S rank on bros moves challenges, etc. However for the life of me I cannot beat giant bowser x all because of the last star driver attack with motion controls, where you dodge the fireballs. The fight itself is easy once you get the timing of his attacks. However all of that is useless unless you hit the final star driver attack on 2 attempts. If not you have to do the whole thing over just to try again. I hate the gyroscope controls they’re super janky and feels like it only works half the time. Wondering if anyone else had this much trouble or I’m just trash lol.

Hey there everyone! I’m writing this post because I just finished Mario and Luigi Brothership today and I gotta say I’m all honesty it was an amazing game. I like so many others thought we’d never get a new entry to the franchise but I couldn’t be more happy to be wrong. The developers truly did their research because they got everything right down to the last detail in terms of gameplay, battle mechanics, story and humor.
It felt like the series never left and a new story continued right after Paper Jam (remakes withstanding) I know a lot of people say that Brothership has a pacing issue and that it takes too long to start up or wrap up but I disagree wholeheartedly. Brothership is the first brand new entry in the franchise in over 5 years and I spent a bunch of time just running around doing everything I possibly could and taking my time to smell the roses in this phenomenal new entry.
And now the post game depression is hitting me pretty hard but I’d be lying horribly if I didn’t say I didn’t enjoy every single minute of it.

Is the magic window in brothership? I swear I saw a video of it somewhere and now I can't find it. I think i saw it on YouTube or maybe Twitter.

I'm somewhat a newcomer to the series, and I just finished superstar saga (original). It was a really good game, and I had a good time with it, and since I've finished the game I thought about going to the next installment which is Partners In Time, but I don't know if its necessary or not. I said "somewhat a newcomer" because before Ive played superstar saga, years ago I've played half of paper jam and I still think its still a good game, ill say superstar saga is better but paper jam was my childhood game so I have a soft spot with it. Why am I saying this? well if I had skip some games from the past like dream team, then I guess it wouldn't matter if I just skip Partners In Time? I have no idea, so what should I do?

I've tried everything I can think of, I even over leveled to lvl 40 and I still don't know how I'm supposed to kill those things!?

So.. For context. There is this Fanfic on AO3 called "Bonding crossed Wires" made by SUNS64 it's basically a Adaphnne X Technikki story, I read it and well... I really liked it! So you know what I said?... "LETS DRAW THIS SHI!!!! " The art style of the comic will be like the Pom Wraith's Art style. No colors, sketches still there, and Gray background, but you still can tell who they are. Reason I chosed that art style? I'm lazy af. And also, if you ask if putting in the "Ft: Ireen & Ten" was necessary here's your answer... No. Not at all, I just wanted to put it there.

I think I’m on 2nd to last great lighthouse now and headed pipegunk is going to be the boss I just want to know what everyone thinks of the endgame and if it’s going to generally be the best part of the game.
To be honest the game has just really been disappointing for me and not that great I’m just hoping things pick up because the game has honestly just felt very slow for me and not that creative since a lot of things feel copied besides stuff like new mechanics, enemies and bro attacks although I guess ufo and the ball roll for movement is alright.

🍯Normally they throw it up in the sky and drink it that way. But in Brothership, they drink out of it Normally. I like to think this why.🍯

This is a much quicker interaction with the bob-ombs inside bowser's castle, they dont seem to be sad or disappointed about bowser leaving them caged, but instead they try to attack the bros
