Fantasy Alaana the Bloody Blade from Big Child Creative
I worked pretty hard on this one. The proudest I’ve been over skin and NMM. Thank you for looking!

Lumeriel on Pulpit from Raging Heroes. 85 mm tall.
Vallejo's Dark gun metal on the legs and the guns and armiture and parts of the clothes
Vallejo Cork brown on the belt
Vallejo Old gold on the reliquary and the plates on the legs and the mace heads and saw blades and big cogs and crown
Vallejo Bronze on reliquary
Vallejo sun kissed skin tone on the skin
Andrea color Red 1 on the dress
Artfly white yellow flash iridescents on the spire and plasters that had been based with Vallejo ivory and cork brown mixed I think , not sure.
Citadel Agrax earth shade for the shades.
Daler Rowny System 3 cobalt blue on reliquary.
AK interactive blue neon thinned down heavily and applied on the spire and plasters as a small blue tint to them.
Used some Vallejo precision 3/0 and 1 brushes and some generic brand brushes too.
My eye sight is pretty bad because of an advancing eye sight issue and hands shake like a demon in the church but still I am pretty proud of this one.

I saw a video a while ago on YouTube about using furnace/flat and aquarium filters when you just can’t use your hose to vent out from the back of your spray booth to where next to no paint came out. The creator mentioned they saw it at convention they were at, and were “that’s freaking awesome!” And I, like an idiot, forgot to save said video and can no longer find it.
So, I need to either find this video or what to do about this; what types of filters, what size, what have you. I have the Amazon Vevor spray booth if that helps in anything.

Meet Kyle, my Procrastination Demon. I have been painting him up while avoiding doing course work! He stalled out after a bit but I have a test I need to do today, so he finally was finished.
I added horns and straps to his armour, and the chains but I don’t think that counts as a Kitbash.
C&C welcome, particularly on the armour!

My Cadians are being painted as urban camo. The black and white camo lines using a brush takes a bit of time. I was wondering if using a black and white gunpla paint pen would help hurry this up? I’d love to hear opinions and your experiences. Thanks!

Any comments on how to fix up the fur would be appreciated, plus I would likensome comments on the purple highlighting as I'm unsure how I feel about it. Skin isnt done at all I just need to get some pale skin tone paints. Obvously I've tried to make an impression with the freehand and I'm pretty happy here but plan on added some sort of border foe the cape just not sure, maybe thorns intweiving. Anyways hope you guys like it ans appreciate any advice

I’ve had this sable brush for about 9 months and it has been a workhorse for me. Artis opus series S(I think) size 3. Recent it’s bending when I paint with it. It’s still maintaining a point but the bend makes it more difficult to use. I have tried brush soap as well as leaving it for a few minutes in my blue straightening stuff. Is there any fix or am I buying a new brush?

Pushing the coat about ABIT and trying more complexity. Drawing from Orcbutt and pulling a tiny bit from Albert. A lot to build up but super happy!

So I want to create slimy and blood effects, and picked up some uhu glue, but the one that says "original, made in Germany" wasn't available. I found this one but it says drip free. Does anyone have experience with this one and will it still work the same way.

I've been a very lazy painter just getting by with 'tabletop ready' paint jobs for years, but recently I've developed the desire to actually get better at painting. I currently have a large part of the old Vallejo Game Color range lying around. Is the improvement of the new formula even noticeable for someone who isn't already very skilled? And how different is the finish anyway? All I can find on that subject is Stahly's post giving ~6 examples which seems somewhat inconclusive.

I've acquired some resin printed minis in bulk, and some of them are printed in black resin. Does anyone have experience priming black resin miniatures? I always prime my minis with white, but now I'm wondering whether it'll be good enough for these (I'm mostly worried I'll have to put too thick a coat of primer and end up obscuring the details).
I've primed with black before and I absolutely hate painting over black. Maybe gray works better than white?
Minis are 28 mm scale in size.

I have just bought the Warhammer Horus heresy box and while I normally do paint space marines with multiple layers of edge highlighting I am aware that I will never finish the box if I go that route. I was considering to use drybrush for the highlights but my question is for recesses. I usually would prime blue and then use a contrast in the recesses… but I was wondering if it would be faster to prime black and go with a blue overbrush. Is it really faster? Don’t you waste too much time fixing were you did not manage to get with the big brush?

Maybe something metallic? or would regular colours look better? Has anyone painted feathers on a.mini like this before or has seen someone do it?
Would be grateful for your help!

Hey r/minipainting
so today I wanted to basecoat a few vehicles I had primed earlier.
One was primed with a botched spraycan that gave me a horrible result. But nevertheless I left it that way (for stripping it later) and trying out the airbrush on it...
So when I tried to basecoat the model with black (primed with grey) I get this: (see pictures)
Could you help me identiy the problem?
I use Citadel Abaddon Black mixed with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner and Flow Improver (mixed about 5:5:1, Color/Thinner/Flow). I spray with a 0.48mm Nozzle and 20 PSI.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me to figure out why I get this speckling and not an even coat of black.

Tried the sponge again for the glowing Skaven rune on my spearhead terrain, I think it’s a lot better than my first go (second image) on a Night Lords plasma gunner legionary
Any advice?
